I really enjoyed this place. I bit outside the downtown area but in a nice street with several other places. The interior is relatively small but well decorated. This place is best for 2-4 people. The food was cooked by a seasoned cook from the motherland. They only had one server when we went there for lunch, but things moved relatively well. I really enjoyed the mocktails. The food was all around solid with a lot of flavor and plenty full. They also have an extensive selection of cocktails. Overall, I would give this place a visit and enjoy some really good Vietnamese food.
A gem!! The papaya salad is a crinkle cut like a french fry and an absolute surprise and delight. I’ve heard the buns are to die for and look forward to trying those next time. They crush it with the soft lighting and vibes too. Maybe I’ve just gone in on slower nights but I don’t know how this spot isn’t packed all the time.
I'm Vietnamese and this might be my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in all of Northern California. The sugar cane spring rolls, Bo Luc Lac (steak and rice), FRIED CHICKEN (melts in your mouth and the side salad that comes with it is SO GOOD!) are my favorite dishes. Khoi was our server and super kind, and Qui, the chef, was so talented in making these dishes presentable and cooking it all very fresh right in front of us! 12/10 recommend.
Garlic noodles with their Sriracha sauce are amazing. Also the Tokyo street fashioned cocktail is delicious. Really great spot for a nice meal. Chill vibe
I had the garlic noodles. Spring rolls and Ban mi appetizers. We were at the emerald cup and looking for late night food. Found this place and it didn’t disappoint. Fresh. Creative. Awesome cocktails and food. All the friends were impressed. Staff is great too.
Love the veggie Bao here and the vegan friendly Phở. Really looking forward to taking my siblings here, they're Viet. The photos only wall are a nice touch. They have a cozy counter for solo diners and a craft cocktail menu.
Warm, friendly staff, impeccable service, delicious food. My son had poached shrimp rolls with peanut hoisin sauce and his favorite rice noodle pho, Bo Luc Lac, with filet mignon. Both were light and tasty. I had the fresh light roti with a curry sauce and sesame crusted baby back chili ribs. Amazing!

I had a fantastic time here. I love the cozy ambiance. The sevice was superb. Everything we ordered was delicious 😋 I highly recommend it. I am happy I stepped out of my box to try cuisine from outside of my norm.
The garlic shrimp noodles were honestly one of the best fried noodle dishes I’ve ever had. Not too salty or oily. Had perfect chewiness and mouthfeel, just the right amount of garlic. The shrimp was grilled and retained moisture, but crispy and slightly charred on the outside. The wicked Bennie was also great!
I’ve visited Co Nam twice so far and really enjoyed both experiences. The food is excellent, with some uniquely creative dishes. I’ve never had ribs covered in sesame seeds before, and they were surprisingly delicious. The curry is a personal favorite. I also appreciated the great conversation with Daniel, the bartender, who’s incredibly knowledgeable about a wide range of drinks. I’d definitely go again!

So delicious! It’s my go to place when I’m in the area. For everything from date night to meeting friends, to enjoying a solo lunch. I think I’ve tried almost everything on the menu by now and it’s all just so amazing, you really can’t go wrong. The vibe is so great too. Awesome interior that transports you the moment you walk in. 11/10 recommend!
I was craving Pho and this place did not disappoint. They technically only have one option, but with your choice of meats. Bowl came quickly and was delicious. My girlfriend had a noodles and shrimp dish that was superb as well. Interior was clean and well kept. Totally worth the visit and a few returns to try more of the menu.
11/10 for the Chef's Bar Experience. The cocktails were amazing; creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. The tapas were delicious and paired perfectly with each drink. Still thinking about the fried banana dessert. The service and atmosphere was top notch. Can't wait to go back, planning to bring friends!
Long over due review! My husband and I came here last month for a tasting event and our experience exceed our expectations. The service was great, atmosphere was amazing, and the food and drinks were delicious. Thank you to the owner, Trung and his staff Khoi. We will definitely be back!

We went here on a Saturday around 3pm and were able to get seated right away. The inside is small and large selection at the bar. It is nicely decorated and could be a good evening spot to hang and drink. We got the ibiza, which is their sweetest drink, and the saigon french quarters, which was strong. Both were good and I look forward to trying other drinks here. They have quite the menu for drinks- alcoholic, non alcoholic, wine, juice, tiki drinks, etc. As for the food, I really enjoyed the roti and the fried wicked buns. The buns remind me of vietnamese donuts and are on the sweet side. They weren't dry at all or hard. They are not that dense either. The ribs and pork belly were fine, but I would be interested in trying more of their other food menu items as well. Parking is on the street and may be hard to fine. Staff was nice and attentive.
This was my first time at Co Nam, and I have to say the restaurant has a cool vibe and great service. I ordered the pho 🍜, and while it was okay, it didn’t quite stand out for me. That said, I’m curious about their other dishes and will definitely give it another try soon. Overall, the atmosphere and service make it worth revisiting!
*Wicked Buns: a different take than n the classic. I liked it but I didn’t. It was good but the whole time I wanted to try the bun as a dessert. Kept giving me donut vibes *Grilled Chicken Bowl w/ Vermicelli: Chicken juicy and good flavor. Big slices of cucumber. The Sauce brought it all together in the most awesome way. Had been driving by this location for Atleast a year and today happened to be in the area for lunch and I’m mad I didn’t stop sooner. Definitely will be back soon.
Everyone here was super nice and the food came out hot and at a reasonable pace. Also loved that they still honored Oakland restaurant week even though it was passed the date. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I thought certain dishes were a little too sweet. The sweetness overpowered some of the dishes. Despite that, I would definitely come back here again. Also, they have a great drink/bar selection!!

Very good cocktails. Food is pretty average. I’ve only had the pho so maybe other items are better - but the pho is kinda bland and expansive, there’s definitely much better around. But it’s a good place for a cocktail and snack and they’re outdoor patio is heated which is really nice

Went for restaurant week. Started off strong with the pho dumplings, but the “steak frites” was an abomination. Tasted like Panda Express on McDonald’s fries unfortunately. The desserts were generally quite nice, but we felt we paid way too much for what we got. I recommend the gardener but not the gin and tonic — too many seeds.
Good food but service was so poor I just can’t give it more than 2 stars. Indifferent staff who barely wanted to interact with customers. Didn’t bring out plates, napkins or utensils even after food came out until we asked. They didn’t seem to want to take our order. Not sure if those were the owners or just workers but in any case very mediocre experience at a very expensive price point.

The food was good but service was very delayed. The drinks and appetizer we ordered came after 30 minutes and the waitress told us that they ran out of rice and it would take another 20 minutes to prepare the entree. This was after waiting at the table for 30 minutes with just water. 3/5 for food 1/5 for service
I've been to this eatery over a dozen times and the food has never disappointed me. I was although very disappointed with the service last night. I am a simple patron Mezcal (Vida) chicken pho or grilled shrimp garlic noodles. So one could imagine my surprise when I was given a glass of well Vodka. When I shared that this was not what I ordered, I was given a look of derision by the wait staff. Ten minutes later I was brought my cocktail by the bartender who didn't apologize, but blamed his fellow employee. Truly disappointed by this I wanted to leave, but my manners informed me to let it play out. I'll never go back.
