This place is amazing!!!! The chips and salsa is outstanding, nice light crispy chips. The salsa is freshly made. The chile con queso is great too. We had the enchiladas plate. Chicken enchiladas are so good. I highly recommend. Also had the chicken fried steak. Definitely competes with the best chicken fried steaks I've ever had. I highly recommend this place and will be coming back often! Corisa was an awesome server - polite attentive and super nice!

This place should get 10 Stars! Really good old Tex-Mex food. Super friendly staff. Very "Texas friendly". This place is usually full of folks/family but the wait is worth it.

The food is really good. I'm not from the town of Uvalde, but my mom is, so anytime we visit we stop and eat here. Staff is friendly and pleasant. The menudo is very good, I highly recommend it. The tortillas are amazing, hot and fluffy, just like grandma used to make. Their tacos are very hearty and full, they don't go skimpy on the fillings. You won't regret making the pit stop to eat here.

Amazing food and service. A little pricey, but I’d say the food is well worth it.

Menudo has Great taste ... plates well served .. but no 5 star cause it’s to hot inside ...

The menudo was mediocre. No honeycomb tripe. Soft. Not much substance in the texture of the meat -ovetcioked or reheated, not sure. But plenty of meat. $15.00 for one bowl of large menudo two tortillas and a cup of water. The tortillas hardened up immediately once they were exposed to the air. Literally like a tostada shell-Outside of the serving tray. Menudo is served with onions and jalapenos. Asked for cilantro and they were able to provide. The taste of the red menudo was good. But not five star worth. Service was EXCEPTIONAL! No horchata served here.

Tacos are expensive at 5$ each and they are small. (Its not the price its the size n flavor) ..Ordered a lemonade a barbacoa, chicharrón and bacon and egg taco. The tacos didn't have flavor. The salsa tastes like they got it from a jar. The lemonade was like kool-aid. I only gave 2 stars because the bacon and egg was good. Won't be coming back.

Came here on Father’s Day to eat on our way back home. The fact that this place is called Authentic is mind blowing. There is nothing authentic about this place. We had to “seat ourselves” & if you don’t go stand by the dirty table someone else will. How gross is that?? We got menudo and the short stack and let me just tell you the menudo was 0/10. It was reheated and tasted like eating pure oil. We asked for ham with the short stack and got burnt bacon. Let me fair warn you of what you’re getting….. 2 slices of lunch meat!!! 🤯🤯 We told the “manager” which in turn did nothing. This was not worth $40 we will never visit here again!

Do not recommend! Literally go anywhere but here. The inside is dirty! That should’ve been our sign to walk out. I could go in to detail about the service but bottom line it was awful. My husbands food came out first. He ordered a kimi plate and it looked disgusting. We are from the valley. We know good Mexican food. This was all mush. Soggy tortillas, you could taste the old oil it was cooked it. 10 min later my kids got their French toast and it was literally 2 slices of bread, nothing else, for $8. I’m still shocked at that one. Not sure why that one took so long to come out. Finally after everyone was done with their food and my kids were definitely ready to leave, my food came out. I got the puffy tacos and I had the same old greasy taste as my husband. We got those 3 things and 4 drinks. Tell me how all that was $60. Save yourself and skip this place.

Really wanted to try this place. Unfortunately, our experience was not too great. Came to eat here w/ my father and my 5yr old son. Overpriced Greasy menudo. I wouldn’t mind the price at all if the quality was worth it. Overpriced coffee. Horrible customer service. Our waiter would just ignore us and when she did finally wait on us she was rude and unkind.

If I could leave 0 stars. This is definitely at the top of my list for the worst food I've ever had. I couldn't even eat the food and still had to pay. The owner had the waitress charge me half price for a plate I couldn't eat. Wow by the way it was the special 13.99 for what looked like a childs plate. This place is in Uvalde Texas.
