Really good atmosphere and comfortable bar chairs. We did enjoy the drinks.
The Bear Dump plate was delicious. The wings are the best I've had in the Adirondacks!
Friendly place. Decor is fitting. Bigger place than you think. Wings (buffalo mild) are excellent and not too spicy. Decent variety of brews. Learned something new, breweries in NY can have alcohol but they must be from NY. Cool. Saw a Bourbon Cream with root beer, said it tastes like a root beer float. Plenty of merch.
Overall great place. The brewery feels as it should when your in the adirondacks, like your sitting in a backwoods lake house. The beers each have clever names that relate to the ADK. The staff was very friendly and responsive, they did a great job of making us feel like locals. You can also see wildlife sitting on the porch! (Deer walking right down the road)
Fantastic beer and a professionally run operation. Was lucky enough to land here after hiking in the Adirondacks. First, the beer: Justin, one of the owners and bar tender had to convince me to try the Go Fluff Yourself. The hint of peanut butter put me off. I was so wrong that I now own the “go fluff yourself” t-shirt. This is smooth, rich and full bodied. It’s not hoppy, and shouldn’t be to render the gentle hint of peanut butter. Perfect. Next was Charlie’s Pumpkin. It had a nice finish and is a great seasonal. I was lucky enough to get a tour. This is a focused, professional brewery with eyes on expansion. Justin along with family and friends have build this business from the ground up. They keep their standards high through sweat equity and a true love both for brewing and the mighty Adirondacks. Stop in. You will love the upbeat atmosphere, the smiles, great brew and knowing that you are part of something special. Do not miss this. I’m glad I didn’t.
My wife and I stopped by here for a second visit this past weekend while camping in the area. After a recent renovation, the space is inviting, comfortable and decorated beautifully. The service was friendly and although we did not try any this time, the food looked delicious. We both ordered from the selections, and enjoyed our beers. We chose our favorites to bring back to our campsite. If visiting the area, this is a great stop for refreshments.
I love going to FCC Brewery! It's my favorite part of my trips to Old Forge. The beer is delicious and Management is beyond friendly. They will take you for a tour of the brewery if you ask. Also, they're pet friendly! Feel free to bring your little furry friends, they'll often greet you with a cup of water for the pup, then serve you. At any given moment you can find 5+ dogs sitting around the bar. Be sure to try "Go Fluff Yourself" it's quite good!!
Cool different beer flavor profiles and tastes. Nice place to visit great burgers. Could use a deep cleaning and bathroom updates.
Service was excellent. The beer was tasty. Food was excellently prepared. Pretzels and dipping sauce were excellent. Chicken and burgers were seasoned well and tasted awesome. Additional toppings itemized priced each a dollar additional. With that our bill was a bit expensive over $100.
If you're passing through the area, and in need of a pint, or a couple growlers filled, Fulton Chain Craft Brewery is a spacious spot with great brews. The brewery has the quintessential upstate NY feel, and is perfect for family and friend gatherings. There is ample parking, as well as indoor and outdoor seating, making it an ideal spot for those large groups to unwind over food and beer. Our favorite beers of the afternoon were the "Sweet Dream" cream ale and the "Go Fluff Yourself" golden peanut butter ale. Sweet Dream is a light and bubbly, easy drinker with notes of vanilla and caramel. If you're looking for something with more of a kick, the "Go Fluff Yourself" is certainly a unique blend of peanut butter and fluffernutter goodness. We visited this brewery during the eclipse, and completely forgot to drop a review. I'm sure their taps have long since changed, but we can confidently recommend stopping here for a pint!
Beer was good. Food not so great. Garden salad consisted of lettuce and tomato. Two other dishes that included fries has a clump of fries stuck together.
Nice bar and good selection of beers. The bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. They didn't serve flights when we were there, and they only served beer in plastic cups, which was a bit of a drawback. Other breweries around served both flights and in proper glasses, so that's a bit of a mystery. The interior looked great and the place has a good vibe. Will consider coming back if I'm in the area again.
Great atmosphere, smaller cozy setting with a fireplace. Friendly customer service and helpful suggestions. Nice selection of smoky tasting beers, all range from smoky to smokier. Otherwise, not a wide range in flavor. Less than impressed as far as variety is concerned. For a sweeter alternative to wine they offered hard cider from Beacon Skiff (1911) for those who don't prefer beer. They were sweet and allowed dogs! They have the monopoly in Old Forge, so they're usually pretty crowded. Strollers, kids, and people had their crying babies...
My friends and I visited Fulton Chain Brewery over the Labor Day weekend. The atmosphere was great - a good vibe, and the place seemed to have a lot of character. We were really looking forward to trying some of their beers. I ordered the IPA and it was just "meh" - I couldn't finish it. My friend ordered a flight, but unfortunately, it was a real letdown. We took turns tasting the coffee porter - as the only dark beer in the flight - and it tasted stale, almost like old, leftover coffee had been mixed with a very light, watery beer. The flavor was weak and didn't have the rich, robust notes you'd expect from a well-made porter. While the setting was enjoyable, the quality of the beer we had was very disappointing. I would not recommend this bar for beers.
Not sure what's going on but place looked closed permanently. Tried calling in a to go while in the area and went to answering machine. We decided to stop by and just order in person but closed. Chairs and stools were up on tables hours on Google and their site said open. Hope this helps others.
Have always liked stopping here and support an old forge brewery. Always recommended and spoke well of the place. Was always able to find something drinkable. Until last visit. 2 beers where not on tap and only had maybe 4 choices after that. Your a brewery, there are zero excuses to have 2 lines down ever. That being said, the beer lineup really hasn't changed since they opened. Same tired average at best beers since opening. What was always the idyllic adirondak setting just felt and looked run down. The bathrooms, my god did they stink like sewage. I dont think they have been cleaned in the 2 years since our last visit. With some effort, you could be as good as raquett river brewery.
