Went here because my friend and I wanted healthy options, and yes, they have lots of options to customize their food- vegan, paleo, vegetarian, etc. Service was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. This is a place where you order at the counter and the food is delivered to your table, nothing fancy, but that's ok. I had the Greek salad, and it was wonderful, just the right amount of tang and saltiness with the feta cheese, pepperoncini thin sliced, with chicken (you select your protein) and some flatbread strips for texture. My friend had the yellow curry with chickpeas, greens, and rice, along with flatbread and hummus. Everything was a winner. I'll be back again if I'm ever in the area, I'm bookmarking this place!
If I had a top 5 list of DELICIOUS foods, these fried green tomatoes and these brussels sprouts would be on them! Hubby says shrimp tacos were absolutely delicious, and I had a keto friendly and fabulous burger bowl. Don't forget about the green baja sauce. Put it on everything.
Cashier was a perfect professional smile and energy. Kid said his burger was best he ever had!kudos to chef or cook
This may be my new favorite go-to spot. I love the variety of food selections, the fresh unique drinks, and atmosphere in there. The food was tasty and fresh. I do wish the portions were a little bigger and for the sauces to be filled up more, but everything was still good. Customer service was also amazing. 👌 The lady with glasses was super down to earth and recommended some good choices for my next visits!
Food was great, got a protein bowl Greek salad. So much flavor. Waited 4 min, busy day and still was in and out. My new go to place!
Green Tomato Grill really surprised me—in the best way. When you step into the vibrant and very green restaurant, you’ll feel instantly welcomed and amazed at the vast menu. Everything we tried was super fresh and I learned that they are SUSTAINABLE LEGENDS for using locally sourced ingredients. Each item was so unique, hearty, and flavorful!! ☺️ I would 100% come back and recommend to anyone I know! Here’s everything we tried: 🦐 Baja Bowl with Shrimp 🍔 Grass-Fed Burger 🥗 Avocado Bacon Ranch Salad with Chicken 🌯 Cali Breakfast Burrito 🥔 Baja Tots 🍅 Fried Green Tomatoes 🥒 Cucumber Ginger Mint Drink 🍍 Pineapple Berry 🥤Horchata ☕️ Cold Brew 🍵 Matcha And good news—starting June 1st, they’re opening a ghost kitchen in Costa Mesa for takeout and delivery only! So excited! 🫶 🅿️ Plenty of parking! 🪑 Seating indoors and small outdoor patio in Orange!
We went there because it was on our way. however, I will go back due to the great food and service. The person taking our order (Jacob) helped much more than that. We told him it was our first time here so he guided us through the menu and helped us select our order. We ended up with the chicken taco breakfast and the chicken panini lunch. They were both very good. I also got a cucumber Lemonaide to drink. It was very refreshing. We will definitely go back and we signed up for the card.
Wow!! I wasn’t sure about this place because it did have some mixed reviews. Let me tell ya… it was awesome! GLUTEN FREE & VEGAN choices It won’t disappoint you. It was tasty. Note: the chicken melt was a bit greasy buy still yummy. *Fried green tomatoes muy ricos !!! Yum We were here 12/12 around 11:30am totally missed breakfast ;( we will have to comeback ( no waiting at all ) and very friendly cashier . Thank you :-)
Delicious fresh food! We ordered Thai wrap with chicken and gluten free tortilla it was tasty! We also ordered miso salad with avocado it was perfect! We wanted to try the sweet potato fries but they use canola oil in which we try to avoid. Overall, we enjoyed out lunch fresh and healthy!!
Update to my original review. The food and service has been phenomenal and after trying more i have to say they are one of the best dining experiences in OC. A nice little diner with a more health conscious menu. I'm a big fan after visiting a couple of times. The sweet potato fries and fried green tomatoes are excellent. The food itself is also quite good and a nice change from typical diner classics. My friend got the veggie burger and loved it. I got the chicken chimichurri melt and thought it was fantastic. Prices are good for the quality of food, staff is very friendly and have given me good suggestions. The food definitely isn't fast so come when you're not in too much of a rush.
Food has unbelievable flavor. This place is heaven for vegans and those who are gluten-free. They have gluten-free flat breads, cookies, peanut butter cups, cheesecake, and brownies. Everything is fresh, organic, and they have some unique dishes. There’s a little bit for everyone: seafood, chicken, steak, vegetarian. The pineapple berry juice is delish. Also, try the chili lime popcorn with your wrap or flat bread; you’re in for a treat! P.S. If you get cold easily, make sure to bring a jacket! It’s usually very cool inside. (70 degrees or less)
The service was wonderful and knowledgeable, and was able to give us some recommendations. The cashier recommended the fried cauliflower which was so good that even my cauliflower-hating boyfriend enjoyed it. There were a lot of vegan options (the cauliflower was also). I got the Thai salad with crispy tofu. I know I was asking for it by getting tofu, but the salad was a little bland. It could have used maybe a more flavorful dressing, or better seasoned tofu. My boyfriend got the (not-vegan) philly cheese steak and when I asked for his review he said "it was good. Nothing to write home about, but it was good" so take that how you will. I'll definitely visit again, but will try the tenders or a burger next time!
Parking: They’re located in a big plaza, but they have a small section of the lot. Parking can somewhat be difficult, depending on the day. Free parking lot. Ambiance/Environment: They have a medium sized place with indoor seating and limited outdoor seating. Pretty clean inside. You can either order takeout or dine in. Service: Our cashier was knowledgeable about the menu and gave us good recommendations. Throughput was also quick. We received our food within 5 minutes after ordering. What we ordered: 1) Crispy Cauliflower - The cauliflower was fried and it came with carrots and celery. We chose buffalo sauce. It lacked seasoning, so the sauce somewhat gave it flavor. 2) Spicy Ahi Poke Bowl - I ordered this. It contained rice, edamame, tuna, cucumbers, avocados, and drizzled with sauces. I did not taste any spiciness. The tuna was delicious though. There was a generous amount of cucumbers and edamame. The avocado was somewhat fresh, parts of it were brown. 3) Thai Peanut Bowl - My partner ordered this. There was a generous amount of chicken. Filled with flavor and spices. He thought it tasted okay and still satisfying. 4) Watermelon Mint - This is their seasonal drink. The cashier recommended this because it was refreshing & sweet. It was exactly as described. Pricing: Prices are considered cheap/affordable; especially in this inflation. The prices definitely reflect the quality and portion of the food. I think it’s worth it for a quick grab-n-go, lunch, or something easy.
My husband is vegan and he ordered the burrito with the scrambled tofu and soyrizo, and it was delicious! He said that it was the most tasteful scrambled tofu he’s ever had. I got the breakfast bowl with soyrizo and it was delicious as well. I gave it a 4 stars because their overnight oats were kinda sour (maybe fermented a little too long), but they were so nice to getting it replaced with another entree afterwards. Also, the price was pretty decent for the experience.
Excellent food profiles and options. If you're looking for healthy conscious dining, this is a good spot. I am a meat lover but the vegan burger here is better than some meat burgers I've had recently. The prices are good, but by most people's accounts, the dishes feel a little on the light side. The Chile verde is one of their best recipes and you can get it with chicken, beef, tofu, or whatever else and in a bowl, or burrito.
This place is extremely overrated. The food is very mediocre and nothing spectacular. I got a chili Verdi steak bowl and it was a 6/10. The rice was hard and the meat was chewy. Honestly, chipotle does a better job with their bowls with fresher ingredients. I did not like that the vegetables was overly charred. The sauce they put in it was the only good part. The other item I got was the chimichurri chicken melt was a 7/10. The wrap was crispy, which was the only good part. I didn’t understand why they would put such a large chunk of broccoli inside the melt, it made it so difficult to bite into it. And I did not taste nor see any beacon as stated in the ingredients. The pineapple drinks was the only truly enjoyable part of our meal. I advise you to skip this over hyped place. It’s over priced, small plates, and will not meet your expectation.
