From the home made pot stickers to the orange slices at the end of our meal, everything was amazing. The honey walnut prawns had the right amount of mayonnaise and it was not overly sweet. Perfect balance. We also order the BBQ Pork Chow fun with steamee broccoli, salt and pepper prawns, and tomato prawns. They were all so delicious. The food was not oily at all. This is my go to place when I'm in the area.

My girlfriend showed me this Gem of a restaurant years ago. Her family has eaten here since old ownership. Well I'm happy that not much has changed food wise. They are still making delicious food and offering amazing service. I love this place and everyone is so friendly.

Finally had a chance to stop in this place. I used to come here a lot. Top 5 places for hot and sour around. But since the plandemic this place was closed for a while and I wasn't really in Orinda a lot. I'm glad to say nothing has changed except the prices which is understandable. Hopefully still the same family owns it. Top notch lunch experience!!!

Probably the best Kung Pao chicken I’ve ever had. I’m not sure I’ve ever left a restaurant reviewing Google, but wanted to share because I thought it was so good.

The food was great. I ordered the szechwan shrimp. It was so tasty and really filling. Portions were enough at good prices. Great atmosphere and nice hometown setting. The service was non-intrusive but they always knew when I would need something like a water refill. I will definitely come back when in the area.

The food here is great. I had a salad, Mandarin beef and fried rice. The rice was perfect. The beef wasnt too spicy and was sweet. The salad was perfect. I will say this dish really hit my sweet tooth which made my day. They gave complementary won tons which blew my mind. I had to order some to go. I'd never had any before. Definitely will visit again.

Searched for a Chinese place with really good reviews on Hot & Sour soup, Great when it super cold out or when I am not feeling well, I ordered this and the Singapore noodles, which I don't find in every restaurant. I have to say this place was spot on, down to the shrimp in the soup! Usually only chicken and tofu so was quite surprised!! Will definitely give it another go in .near future.

Excellent place for Szechuan or Mandarin Chinese food. My favorite is the Walnut prawns with the creamy sauce, sweet and sour pork, and delicious soups. They have a very friendly staff and they check with you to see if you need anything. There is street parking or parking behind the building. It is clean and nicely decorated. Don't pass this place up. The food is tasty and reasonably priced.

Hands down best service and delicious food. The sizzling rice soup is such a delight, comforting soup on any day. Must try there Mongolian beef extra spicy and the crispy ginger honey chicken! Thank you scechwan house❤️

We ordered a couple of new dishes which were yesterday‘s specials. One had eggplant and chicken and the other was some fish dish. We had it as take out for a dozen guests at home. All of our guests were complimenting the food and asking where we got it from. Thank you Szechwan Restaurant.

The ownership changed over but the food remains excellent. Always a friendly and clean place for a family meal. We start out with the pot stickers and sizzling soup. The Singapore noodle with shrimp, pork and steak in curry sauce is a must try.

Good food and friendly service, generous portions and reasonable prices. Ordered Hot and Sour Soup & Wonton Soup, Beef Broccoli, Shrimp with Snow Peas, Mapao Tofu, Hong Kong pan fried noodles - all were tasty. Will definitely return!

This restaurant has been one of my favorite Chinese restaurant for the past 20 years.. having been out of state for some months..I went back to order my favorite dish. "Szechwan shrimp".. it has a delicate thin batter and deep fried in a hot oil (peanut) which makes it a very fine palate treat..this time however my take out order came as "sweet and sour shrimp". It has a very thick heavy batter, deep fried in a less than desirable oil. When I confronted the order lady of my observation. She claimed that it was my order. Evidently both dishes are prepared and sold as one dish. When asked if it was the same ownerships she claimed that it was. The gentleman who previously took my order(probably the owner) was no longer there. Bad experience..bad food as well as being lied to
