Avis sur Zamboni's Pizza Orinda
My daughter and I passed by Zamboni's Pizza many times when we were in Orinda shopping at Safeway, which is across the street, in the Shopping Center. I always wanted to find out how Zamboni's Pizza tasted, but we never had the extra time to stop by till now, and I must say that it is the most tasty Pizza ever. My daughter asked me if I wanted a slice or if I wanted the traditional large pizza or a personal pizza. I chose to sample the pizza, so I opted for the personal Pizza. They offered a variety of Pizza on the menu, but I told my daughter that I felt like having the simplest one possible. So, she ordered me the regular cheese personal Pizza. The crust wasn't deep dish, but it wasn't thin either, it was puffy, it was not salty, and the cheese was not salty at all, which is what I loved about this pizza. For those who have blood pressure can definitely drop by Zamboni's Pizza, which I definitely recommend. My daughter, to whom I offered a piece, loved it too. So, we're definitely ready to order the large size Margherita Pizza on our next visit. Street parking is available or one can park in the Safeway parking lot and cross the street to Zamboni's Pizza. That's what my daughter and I did. We stopped at Safeway to buy our fruits and veggies and then dropped in at Zamboni's. Orinda is beautiful. The drive to Orinda is so relaxing. There is traffic in the mornings before working hours and in the evenings after work. I have taken photos for you to view.
Was getting some work done on my car and stopped by for lunch. Great service from staff and excellent pizza. I actually ate half before I took the photo !!

Easy to use web pick up ordering. Pay online using Google Pay, Apple Pay, ... And you can reorder next time in one click. Orders are generally ready in 20-30 minutes depending on how busy they are but there is an app to update you. Great menu.
Our go-to pizza place in Lamorinda. Huge fan of their Yumi and deep dish pizzas.
I think this is a great place and it's a shame to see other's knock the food. The pizza is tasty. It may not be the most gourmet in the world but I don't think it claims to be that place. If you want a simple and very tasty pizza this is a great place. The owner is super friendly. I've tried another pizza place in Orinda and it was stone cold on delivery and tasted like cardboard.
The staff was very friendly and as a New Yorker I can say this pizzeria is so good. The sauce is so good and the pizza comes out crispy
Delicious, high quality pizza. Salad and calzone options are nice too and they have a big deep dish selection for the Chicago style connoisseurs. Owner is very friendly as well.
Best calzone we've EVER had. Memorial day weekend. No crowds, perfect al fresco dining. Wonderfully priced. Great and friendly staff. Food was amazing. We had a garden salad, garlic bread and the large calzone. Certainly coming back.
Best Calzone I have ever had! Don't forget the banana peppers! Also, the yummy pizza is an amazing deep dish! Support your local independents! Blair
Just get in here, I bet you’re in the passenger seat in a car on highway 24 looking for somewhere to go. Look no further, it’s straight up good pizza. Small hole in the wall, sports stuff everywhere. They serve slices if you don’t want a full pie. They got a stack of boxes that seemingly has legs. Every time I’m in there it’s changing locations. Pepperonis are mostly under the cheese.
Great pizza! I enjoy it regularly have to tip my hat after another wonderful pie today!
Went here for the first time in years today. The pizza was great! It's even better than I remember. I love what you're doing with the crust. I can taste the garlic butter on the crust, very good going! I'll be back soon, the pizza is so good!
I really like their pizza. It's made fresh, like pizza should be. They spin out the dough, put it on the pan, add your choice of sauces and fresh topping along with real cheese, and throw it in the oven. Careful tending ensures it doesn't burn. And, it's served nice and hot. My personal favorite is a sausage, mushroom, garlic, and xtra cheese. My youngest likes to mix the sauces and toppings up a bit for unusual combinations. They have a TV for sports so you can eat in or carry out. Small dining area though.
Fast and friendly service. The calzone is one of the best bang for the buck items on the menu too. Now more recently I've tried home delivery and that was also spot on prompt too. Support your local businesses, you couldn't do better than Zamboni's Pizza!
Best pizza in a long time. We had the Zamboni Special medium for 2 adults and we were stuffed with one slice left. Nice atmosphere and great staff. Very reasonable priced for the quality. New favourite

Very good pizza that we travel all the way from Bay Point just to get some. It's best when it's fresh, eat right there at their store!

The Deep Dish Pizza was delicious!
Ok pizza. Ordered a slice that of pepperoni that literally had one pepperoni on top of it (a few more in the cheese)...

We're a fan of deep dish so my review will be necessarily slanted. That said, the regular crust would have only gotten a single star more. The primary issue is that the deep dish is regularly burnt, creating bitter cheese (see picture) and is pretty inconsistent with the crust crunchyness and the cheese level. Sometimes it's soggy and sometimes it's a breadbow. I tried to return a particularly burnt one, and they gave me such a hard time that I have given up. Two of the reasons why deep dish pizza comes with the sauce on top is to prevent the cheese from burning during the longer cook time and to prevent the sauce from making the thicker crust soggy. Interestingly, on their website the sauce is on top and it's correctly proportioned. Unfortunately that does not happen on the real pizza. I guess the fourth strike is definitely out with this place.

Ordered on Slice, came within 40 minutes, fair enough. Good price. Ordered half pepperoni, saw it was missing. Called the store, they said pepperoni is under the cheese (!). Never found pepperoni. On top of this the pizza was somewhat undercooked, which is awful. Too bad.

Terrible. Crunchy undercooked onion and bell pepper, sauce tasted like spaghetti sauce, flavorless cheese. Why??
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The service was awful, they didn’t even bother to give me a fork, and the customer service was atrocious. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Stay away if you value your time and money.
