This place offer a unique style (guaro style) of meat sandwich original from small city in South America. I’m pretty sure many people will find delicious despite its simplicity. No fat meat on a thin tasty bread, what can go wrong?.. I come here every other week. I recommend it. Also tequenos here very good. It’s simple, tasty, quality ingredients. And its serve by the owners all the time, which are very decent btw. Not like other places.

What a wonderful restaurant!! We tried a Pepito and Cheese Tequeños, both of which were excellent. Their ice cream and other desserts taste beyond awesome as well. Terrific customer service (friendly and accommodating staff) rounded out our experience. Looking forward to returning to El Critico very soon.

The food was so good. The chicken in the empanada was seasoned so well, delicious. We also had chicha which is a really good sweet drink and a Venezuelan pop called Fress. Everything was delicious and I would come back if I lived nearby.

Visiting El Crítico in Orlando was a full on nostalgic experience, especially for anyone who knows what a true Barquisimeto style pepito is supposed to taste like. This place doesn’t just get it right, it absolutely nails it. I ordered the gratinado pepito and honestly, I wasn’t ready for how good it was. The bread was perfectly toasted on the outside but still soft and warm on the inside, making every bite feel comforting and familiar. The meat was on another level. It was tender, juicy, and so flavorful that it melted in my mouth. You could tell it had been cooked with real care and attention to detail. The melted cheese on top added just the right amount of richness without overwhelming the other ingredients. And the sauces were incredible. From the garlic to the pink sauce, each one had a distinct homemade taste that brought everything together perfectly. They weren’t thrown on just for show they actually elevated the whole thing. Everything from the bread to the meat to the sauces was a solid ten out of ten. The portion size was generous, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the overall experience felt like eating something straight from a street vendor in Barquisimeto , only better. This spot stands out not just for the quality of the food, but for how authentic it feels. It’s comforting, flavorful, and made with intention. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I had the chance to visit El Critico and try one of their classic Venezuelan pepitos with chicken and steak, and it did not disappoint! The pepito was packed with flavor, and the combination of chicken and steak was delicious. It came with a side of fries, but the highlight for me was definitely the garlic sauce – it added such a burst of flavor to every bite. The service was top-notch as well. I’ll definitely be coming back to explore more of their menu. Highly recommend!

I stumbled in to this location after a flat tire, and so glad I did! I had a pepito which I learned is an open faced sandwich and it was delicious. The kind gentleman made it fresh to order and explained a variety of sauces they have to go with it. You can tell this is place is truly authentic Venezuelan street food. I highly recommend giving it a try!

The food is very very good and the quality of the products is truly incredible. 100% recommended.

This place is amazing! Definitely best pepitos in town. Even when it was packed, the customer service and the food were A+. I have no doubt in recommending the tequenos (fried breaded cheese sticks) dipped in their fabulous sauces (garlic, tartara and bacon are amazing). They also have peach nestea!

El Critico's pepito California is hands down one of the best pepitos I've ever had. I've eaten here a few times already and the ingredients have always been fresh and high quality. The tasty beef loin, large variety of sauces, and flatten bread are staples of what this place stands for: being The Real Pepito Guaro!! Naguara e' bueno!!

My wife and I were waiting for our car to be fixed and had the idea of visiting El Critico, and it was the best thing we did. Food is great! They prepare it as soon as you order, it tastes really fresh. They have some sauces and they are all great! But what really sold the deal on this restaurant was Maria's help, she is very knowledgeable about the menu and really friendly! Despite not liking the Durano tea, she still offered us to try it and we loved it! Thanks for the help and delicious food :)

If you are looking for something different and very tasty? This is the place, the hole in the wall as you might call it. Food is fresh, absolutely tastes amazing! I got their Oklahoma 2 patty burger, and let me tell you it tasted like something close to cheese steak! It was juicy, crispy on the edges and had a lot of onions. Minus the peppers on a traditional cheese steak though. Im sure you could ask if you wanted some though. Also got aome empanadas and they were pretty good as well, shredded beef and chicken ones. Not oily, crispy light and the meat was full of flavor. Their pepito sandwiches are also amazing, soft bread with what you choose as a meat, chiken, shimp, beef does not matter. Will not disappoint! Lunch or late night, this hits the spot.

We went yesterday after getting out of our jobs, got there around 1:10am, We enter and there was an odor a little nasty, like when you smell something that has been sitting for a while in a cabinet, even though didn’t bother us at all, ordering our food was really simple and the cashier (a blonde girl) was very nice, total was $53.20 cause we also order a Malta (Drink).. We waited around 15 - 20min for our order (I think was a little high the waiting time) there was only an order of a couple ahead of us, music was great, we'll give you that. When it comes to food, everything was good, except a little for the fries, Small portion and didn’t feel or taste really crunchy or fried at the moment, and both pepitos were good but, I think is a small portion of protein itself that the use for being a $21 pepito.. Real question will be if I would come back and get it? Probably not, feel that my money spend in food is worth more in other places, hope this review helps you decide, for trying is okay, that’s it.

I did not like it at all, the meat tastes ugly and apart from that it was raw, very bad service

I spent 1h45m waiting for a burger which I knew it wasn't going to be worth it. Meat and bacon were slightly undercooked. The kitchen work is unorganized, orders are not followed up properly. I saw a whole table being served having arrived at least 30min after me. Lot's of people complaining about the time they had there waiting and cancelling orders. There are around 5 other burger places and food trucks nearby, unless you'd like to take your chances, go somewhere else.

Empanadas were HORRIBLE! Cold and old papelon con limon was lapsed, the place was dirty, the service was slow and unkind. I'll never be back. The only good thing was the CHICHA.

I felt misled by previous reviews. The Pepito sandwich was tiny for the price, and the taste was just average. Very disappointed overall.
