This is the best pizza I’ve had since moving to Florida, I’m so looking forward to working my way through the menu! Lovely patio seating, excellent service and vibes, come sit back and relax

After eating years at Don Giovanni’s in Port Orange which is our favorite go to spot, we decided to venture to their Ormond Beach location. Happily greeted by Gio and his staff , we were impressed by the menu . Both places are delicious and highly recommended. Picture is of my bone in Veal chop . Spectacular

My son suggested I try this restaurant and I can see why! I ordered the penne allá vodka and it was DELICIOUS!! Best I’ve had in this area. Service was also really great! Her name was Charlie. She greeted me with a smile and answered any questions I had!!! Will definitely be coming back!!

Best Italian food in the area. Great food, service, and friendly and engaging owner. We loved everything we tried; the chicken parm, fettuccine bolagnase, goat cheese salad, bread, and canolli were all delicious. We can't wait to try more!

The quality of the food and the portions are excellent. The staff from Naples is perfect to create a good atmosphere. We got a complementary cannolis that were delicious. This restaurant is definitely added to our list of restaurants to visit in the area.

By far the best Italian restaurant in the area!! Salads were crisp, fresh & the zinfandel dressing was delightful. Fresh warm yeasty rolls with olive oil & herbs to dip - YUM! The Fettuccine Vegetarian had an excellent veggie to pasta ratio and the sauce was not overly garlicky. My husband's Beef Lasagna was HUGE and melted in your mouth. The service was impeccable, Pietro & Raffaele made sure we were well taken care of and that everything was to our liking. I look forward to our next visit and will be sure to spread the word to all of our friends!!

What a wonderful restaurant!! The food was delicious, the decor was so nice and our server- Charlie was wonderful!!! So very cheerful, and he introduced us to the owner, who was just as nice! Charlie was quick and very attentive he was also very funny - you made our dinner so great! We will be back again to try the chicken piccata! Thank you so much for such a pleasant time!

We recently placed a pickup order over the phone from this Italian restaurant, and everything about the experience was fantastic. The order was ready quickly, which was great, and the food was absolutely delicious—flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. I accidentally ordered something I couldn’t eat due to a dietary restriction, and when I called to explain, the owner couldn’t have been more understanding or kind. They went out of their way to fix the issue without any hassle, and you could genuinely feel the warmth and care in the way they handled it. It’s rare to come across a place that not only serves great food but also truly values their customers. You can feel the love in every interaction. Highly recommend!

First time visitors. Just stopped in to order a pizza to go, but the service was not at all "take out" service. The gentleman took the time to go through the pizza menu with us and help us choose and was super friendly. Enjoyed the glass of house wine we had while waiting for our pizza; so much so we went back for a few bottles to go. Will definitely keep this one on our roster

My family and friends love this restaurant. We go for the excellent food, the coffee, the deserts, and the good service. Pizzas are great. Eggplant Parmesan is great. The gelato is beautiful. The pistachio tart! A window to Italy in the middle of Florida.

As so many previous reviewers have written, our meals (eggplant Parmesan and chicken Parmesan) were delicious. Complimentary bread, with its dipping sauce, was also really tasty. Our server was excellent. Prices are very reasonable. We were excited to find both tartufo and spumoni bomba as choices for dessert. It has been rare for us to find these in Italian restaurants in this area. This was our first visit to Don Giovanni's, but we know we will be heading back on a regular basis.

It’s really difficult for me to eat out as my diet if very limited with autoimmune dysfunction but this restaurant was so accommodating! I was able to enjoy gluten free breads and delicious clean food. Our waitress and waiter were both very friendly and provided top service. I will definitely be back and recommend this wonderful establishment. “)

I previously left a negative review based on a frustrating experience where I felt dismissed as a DoorDash driver. At the time, it seemed like the manager had little regard for mobile pickup orders — prioritizing in-store customers and often ignoring Dashers, even those who had been waiting longer. It was disheartening and, honestly, felt like we were being treated as second-class. However, I decided to give it another shot — and I was surprised. On my return visit, things were noticeably more organized. The staff was more attentive, and the manager was actually more approachable and responsive. It’s clear that not every day is the same, and perhaps they’ve made improvements. It’s a reminder that first impressions matter, but so do second chances. I hope this level of respect and balance continues, especially for workers just trying to earn a living.

This is one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. Since we moved here about a year ago we've been here a bunch of times and always wonderful food and great service. We love it here.

My friend and I went there recently. Our meals were fabulous. Being southern Italian, I am a little picky but my gnocchi was perfect. The bread is like it should be and was wonderful. Our service was great. Pietro, our waiter, was an excellent server. We will definitely be back. Often!!!!!! I highly recommend you try this place.

Wonderful and authentic Italian restaurant. The food is always cooked beautifully, the staff are attentive and their passion for their food shows. I have tried multiple items from Don's and each one has been delicious. I highly recommend.

I was there tonight for the first time. The owner and another gentleman were very attentive to every customer. The atmosphere was very warm and relaxing. I had the angel hair pasta with bolognese sauce and a side of meatballs with ricotta. Both were excellent. I have enough left for 2 lunches. Another table near me was very pleased with their food as well. I am looking forward to trying other things, especially the pizza. Be sure to give this place a try.

The restaurant is so beautifully decorated! Loved the atmosphere and the pizza was amazing! Can’t wait to go back and try the house specials! They all looked amazing passing by to the other guests! Will totally be back!

At the time I went, it was awesome. Pizza reminded me of the Pizza I would get on Long Island NY and the people working there were awesome.

Went here on Saturday with friend. The atmosphere is good, but what’s better is the people who own it. Warm, generous and friendly. Made me feel like I was family. I had lasagna, my friend had the shrimp fettuccine. Both delicious as well as the bread with the most delicious olive oil I ever tasted! You will be very happy to enjoy this true Italian atmosphere!!

Went for lunch. Everything was delicious. Had the aracini for an app, I had the carbonara for my lunch and my bf had a sausage n broccoli rabb pasta dish. (Sooo good!) Raffele was our server and he was fantastic. We had take out from here a few weeks ago and it was great too. We will definitely recommend to others and we will definitely be back.

Have had many different dishes. All have been delicious. Tried the bracciole tonight. It was amazing. All staff is very nice and always have the best service. We love it and try to go every Tuesday.

A huge thank you to Gio and his staff for catering my husband's Celebration of life event recently. The food was superb! The event was in a private house which made it very intimate. Everyone enjoyed the food as well as Charlie for his professionalism in serving the food. Thank you Charlie!!

True Italian food!! Went to Italy last year and tastes just like being back! It was so amazing. I never leave reviews but this was a great experience. Everything was clean and the atmosphere. Will def be back!

Don Giovanni earns a spot on my best “Hole in the Wall” restaurant. Located in a strip mall just west of I-95 on Route 40, this quaint little restaurant serves a variety of classic Italian dishes with some surprises tossed in. We had a late lunch. Seating consists of booths along the walls and tables down the center. Beautiful photos of Italy adorn the walls. Outside dining is available but it was too hot to eat outside. When we arrived 3 other booths were occupied. and the sole server provided prompt and friendly service. My wife had a salad. I had Dongiovanni Risotto, brandy cream sauce with shrimp and mushroom. The shrimp were tremendous, large and steamed to perfection. I counted no fewer than a half a dozen. The risotto was also cooked to the right consistency. Tender, I could taste the individual grains; no clumps here. The sauce was delicious, giving the dish a rich flavor. Note that they served bread before the meal. We will be back and I recommend you give it a try.

Placed an order for pizza for pick up. Pizza was prepared quickly and nice and hot. Staff was friendly. A large pizza came out to around $21. Sauce was tasty / flavorful and crust was crispy. However, there was one important ingredient missing from this Pizza… the cheese! I have never had a pizza with so little cheese before (see photo.) Unfortunately, it just tasted like purred tomato and basil on bread than an actual pizza. I only had a slice and tossed the rest sadly. I think if a normal amount of cheese was added, this pizza could be pretty good. I will try it again sometime and specify I would like more cheese. I wish Don Giovanni’s success.

This is the second time we’ve been to this restaurant. The food both times was wonderful. The meat lovers pizza is great. The spaghetti was very good. The pasta was perfectly cooked. The caprese salad was fresh. The service both times was not as wonderful. The servers were very pleasant but we had issues. The first visit was extremely slow service and no drink refills until we asked. The second visit the server did not offer bread service. She forgot to ask about my salad with dinner and I had to remind her. She ordered the entirely wrong food for my husband and we ordered a pizza to go and told her to put it in at the beginning of the meal so that we would not have to wait. She must have forgotten to put the order in because we waited about ten minutes after we cashed out to even get it. As good as the food is we are not sure we will go back and that is unfortunate for the owners because their food is delicious.

Don Giovannis in Port Orange is much better than the one in Ormond. In Ormond, the sauce on the spagetti is nothing spectacular. I've made much better using a jar of sauce and adding to it. The portion size is small, more for a 10yr old child. Spagetti is CHEAP, no reason not to give a decent filling portion! Same with the ravioli, very small portion. Most of us were hungry when we left. Never offered refills of soda until dinner was over, although water refills and beer were always offered. The music playing in a loop was loud and annoying. Ormond location is not worth the money. Will not go back and don't recommend.

I really really wanted to give this place a good score because when they get it right the quality of the food is good and I feel like they have a solid menu. Needless to say, I had not been back in over a year, but I figured I’d give them a shot for a take out order. The last time I went they served me a pizza which was inedible and I ordered a meatball Parmesan sandwich and it had hardly any sauce on it But they are up the street from me so I figured we’ll try them again. Well, I gave instruction specifically over the phone that I wanted extra bread with the pasta dishes and an extra side of sauce with the meatball sub. Didn’t even care if I had to pay for it. The person on the phone said no problem. Then when I arrived to pick up my food I reiterated again is there extra bread in the bag? to which point the young lady said yes. Well when I got home, of course there was only two little tiny pieces of bread for two pasta dinners. And no extra side of sauce with the sub. I proceeded to call them on the phone and said hey I’m on my way back. I asked for extra bread. You only gave me two pieces. I’ll be there in two minutes. I live right down the street. I didn’t even mention the missing side of sauce. This was about 15 minutes prior to them closing to which point the girl on the phone stated that they had absolutely no bread left. Then said the kitchens closed sorry. We had also ordered pistachio cake slices at 12 dollars a piece which we didn’t discover until shortly after we ate our dinner that they were not right. The texture was off as if they were old. Overall very dissatisfied. I get it that things can get overlooked sometimes but when you spend 67 dollars for spaghetti, a kids pasta, a meatball sub and two sub par desserts it’s disappointing to say the least.

I would like to order a couple pieces would look like to be pepperoni, but they turned out to be cheese. Of course I didn’t check the details rushing through to get it ordered, but if you’re gonna show a picture of a pizza that you’re gonna order, it should be exactly what you’re ordering. I just always think of that as being deceptive.

We were really disappointed tonight. I had just flown in from Costa Rica—3.5 hours in the air, then drove from Orlando to Ormond—with one goal: to feed my family of five from what looked like a safe, gluten-free friendly local spot. I have Hashimoto’s and celiac disease, so I carefully researched this restaurant as a go-to option. Their website says they close at 9 PM. I spent time reviewing the online menu, even though it doesn’t clearly label gluten-free items, and called at 8:30 to place a takeout order. I was told the kitchen was already closed. I was five minutes away. That’s completely unacceptable. As someone who owns a service-based business and has worked in both front and back of house in restaurants, this is not how you do business. If you post a 9 PM closing time, your kitchen should stay open until 9 PM. Cleaning happens after hours, not before. The woman who answered the phone was polite and apologized, but this goes beyond manners—it’s about poor operations and a lack of respect for paying customers. We were ready to spend over $100 tonight. Instead, we left hungry and frustrated. This was a huge letdown and not the welcome home I had hoped for.

I went to the restaurant in person to order a GF pizza as my husband has celiac disease and gets violently ill for eating gluten along with damage to his intestines. Celiac is a serious autoimmune disease. He has had pizza and gf meals at Don Giovanni's previously with no issue. I got home and he ate most of a slice and asked me to try it. It was too good to be GF. I called and then had to drive back 25 minutes to get a refund. The owner apologized and was empathetic, but we will never be back. My husband has already started with the side effects . I warn all Gluten Intolerant and those with Celiac not to dine at Giovanni's. If you have no GF issues, then it's fine.
