Great food, good variety of food everything had great taste. We came to visit my family from California, and we used to have Golden Corral in Fresno, but they closed down; we need one again.

Spotless kitchen, clean dining area, and even the restrooms were fresh. I felt very comfortable eating here.

We stopped on a whim… we’d given up on Golden Corral because the food became awful and the environment was dirty. To our surprise, this particular one was clean, well stocked with fresh food and the servers were all kind.

The service and atmosphere were good. The food was hit and miss. Some items were good some were not. The beans, greens, fried chicken, jalapeño cirnbread and rolls were good. The pot roast was dry, buns for hot dogs were hard. The icee was runny not frozen. The tea was not good (it tasted like sludge and water). The coke was watered down and syrupy (no carbonation).

The elegance of the atmosphere is aspiring. Within the walls of this traditionally historic 1990 Golden Corral, is a glowing warmth. This warmth isn’t just from the food or the electronic fireplace display. No, the warmth is from Alejondras smile, my server. She doesn’t understand what I’m saying and vise versa. But, she understood I needed a refill on my Dr. Pepper. Would I pay $18 dollars again for my kids to stuff there mouths on macaroni and cheese and brownies again? Probably not. The staff was nice dont get me wrong but the food? it wasnt enjoyable the meat was tuff and hard couldnt bite it without struggling. And the soup? it tasted as if someone didnt wash the dishes correctly it tasted somewhat dirty.

First, they TOLD me the strawberry lemonade was sweet, so I bought it but couldn't drink it. Since I paid $3.75 for it, separate from the buffet, so to be told if I want to take it with me i have to pay an extra $1.25 for a to go cup?! Not ALLOWED to pour it in my own empty cup. Unacceptable. Food on the buffet was okay but not even warm except items just put out. The Dessert part was disgusting (I will post pictures) the ice dessert was pure liquid slosh that they told me I could NOT have a cup for and if I wanted it I could drink it from a bowl. Puddings were liquid goo. I fully expect to end up with food poisoning. Servers were great, the only positive part of the experience. The MANAGER was extremely RUDE and did NOT have ANY desire to improve my experience. She actually said she didn't CARE what i wrote about my awful experience. Personally, I would fire an employee who represented MY company in that way. Guess Golden Corral doesn't care if their managers provide decent customer service as long as they get your money! Update 6/20/25 they reached out to me after reading my review...though they did not care enough to reach out when I submitted a review directly to them where no one else could see it. Apparently my review is not detailed enough and they want me to tell them more about my horrid experience. Because what I already told them wasn't bad enough I guess? I did, but I am not holding my breath that anything will be done...or improved...we shall see, will update

They had no to go cups no breakfast options other then waffles and said the waffle machine wasn’t working properly.

i wish i could give zero stars. this was the worst experience ever! first off the cups looks super filthy so we tried to get a to go cup which the lady is the front was making a big deal about so we just went ahead and picked through the cups until we found clean ones. the food was horrendous, the "stuffing" was literally mushy like mash potatoes , the macaroni and cheese was bland and also mushy and the rice pudding was also terrible. the ONLY thing my party ate was the cinnamon rolls and banana pudding. to top it off i tried to get ice cream for myself and my baby and that was literally water ( picture below) i spoke to the manager and tried to get a refund and he had the audacity to tell me " well we saw you get up and get multiple plates we don't do refunds" wow.. maybe i got up and got multiple plates because i was trying to find something edible to eat lol. it's ok i will be calling corporate just save your coins and go to franks grill !!

Food was cold , nasty and we was the first ones there. Service was not good, had to ask for a refill. Desserts not good pecan pie was like cold frozen. Never again at this location As soon as we left we threw up. $40.00 not worth it at all. For nasty cold food

I got a gift card to bring my son here for his birthday because he loves coming here. We will not be returning to this location. They said the gift card machine reader wasn’t working and there was nothing they could do about it. Then the manager came over and said “there is money on it but we can’t do anything about it.” I specifically bought the gift cards for this and now I’m put the money and have the gift cards which I apparently cannot use. Horrible customer service.

Extremely discontent and complaints about our experience at the Golden Corral restaurant store # 542 at 4021 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77504. We, a group of 8 adults and 2 kids went to the restaurant after church and everyone arrived between 10:15 and 10:25. We have been coming to this location for over 25 years. Today my mother went to the egg bar and asked for an omelette with her eggs to be all egg-whites nothing out of the ordinary when offering a service to have your eggs done the way the customer would want them and she’s gotten them done this way for many years at this location without a problem. The person doing them gave my mother attitude and told her she was not going to do them that way that if she wanted fresh eggs they would be the regular way, my mom simply said I do not want them that way, why would I eat something I’m ok eating it. She employee said what would I do with the yolk if I just give you egg whites, my mom said idk keep them throw them idk what would you do with them im just asking for an omelette with l egg whites when I have paid for the buffet and this is a service yall offer. The employee proceeded to make it and give it to her. Once I got up to get my food I saw the manager (male) the person who does the eggs ( female) and another 2 employees talking and I over heard the male manager say we were “wasting” food by asking them to do eggs that way, that we were a problem for them and among other very rude things (attached you will find the pictures). After getting my breakfast and sitting down Pasadena department cops came to our table and said we needed to leave the premises because they were giving us a “criminal trespass warning” and we were not allowed to be back in 2 years to this location. We asked for a refund to the male manager since we had just gotten there and he said “no, you guys already ate” which half of us including me hadn’t even ate because we were waiting for the pancakes to be cooked. I asked for the receipts to the manager and all he did was shrug. After talking to the cops they agreed that this was a very unprofessional, unnecessary and ridiculous behavior and the most ridiculous reason to kick us out and refuse service from the male manager which we agree because he behaved unprofessional and rude towards us simply because my mother wanted her eggs done a certain way, a service that is offered at this location. We did not get defensive in no type of way we are not that kind of family after being humiliated in front of the restaurant we grabbed our things and left. It’s ok we won’t be back after this horrible experience all we’re asking is for a refund for the whole table as we did not do anything wrong and we simply did not eat our food. I trust this is not the way Golden Corral Company wishes to conduct business with valued customers as I nor my whole family have never encountered such treatment before but from reading the other reviews it send this male individual so called “manager” is a recurring problem with everyone he encounters and doesn’t know how to properly resolve an issue within the staff and has poor judgement when it comes to resolving issues regarding customer problems.

We came here after trick or treating at 8pm once we got to the register the manager came up to us and let all of us in line know that the kitchen was closing but they weren’t closing early (this place closes at 10), not even 20 minutes passed we just sat down and grabbed our first plates and the manager informed us to grab our last plates cause they were closing early kicking everyone out at 845. So us a family of 5 having to eat what we can in 10 minutes and the manager and our waitress asking us to hurry up and to finish our food and not grab any more food so they can leave. After a night that was going so well was turned to shit spending 50$ to eat one plate of food is ridiculous, not coming to this Golden Corral ever again or to any period this was a crap experience!!

This sign was hanging and is still hanging on the front of building facing Spencer hwy We decided why not sounds like a good deal right? WRONG. We go on in and get to check out and they say nope it’s only for Saturday. Clearly if you see the picture below it says Saturday and Sunday. So at this point I go outside take picture to show manager and when I get back in the HORRIBLE MANAGER says if you don’t like it then leave I had already paid so we grabbed our trays to go sit and she follows us with her awful attitude and sarcastic comments trying to cause a scene. Unfortunately we will never go back and that is where we have celebrated a lot of holidays and special occasions in the past. I hope this was helpful
