Monopole is an incredible establishment when you can find fine wine and hospitable service. Owner Lucy is warm, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable regarding wines from all over the world and domestic. Monopole has frequent fun wine events and the vibe is chill without any pretentiousness. They can help you if you are new to wine or an experienced connaseuer. Highly recommend this Pasadena gem.

I have been coming here for over a year now. Amazing place to learn about wine, and taste some delicious both new world and old world wines. They truly know their craft. Blind tasting Friday is my new favorite challenge. Highly recommend it for any occasion. You won’t’ regret it.

This is my favorite wine bar in Pasadena. It's a small, chill space with a unique selection of wines by the bottle. For tasting you can get a flight with a cheese plate which is always rad. It's not uptight and has a laid back Bossa Nova vibe. The bartenders are always friendly and knowledgeable.

My wife and I were having Margaritas at El Portal and we walked west to El Molino and came across this place down by the Playhouse. The selection is well curated but still quaint. The space is narrow but deep with shallow wine shelves all the way back where you'll find a bar. The woman behind the bar is great. I believe that she's also the purchaser and her pallet is excellent. Ended up having 3 rounds and purchasing 2 bottles of the first recommendation. I'll be looking to come back soon.

This place is perfect-it's a wine store as well as a wine bar so you can pick out a wine from the market to drink there and then any you don't drink you can take home. They have a great selection of wines and really knowledgeable staff. I met Peter I believe he was the owner, very nice guy. Very chill ambience and comfortable.

This place is so cute! I hosted a meetup for the Toast and Jam event. The staff are friendly, and the space has cute alcoves to hang out. They should just point out which wines are on happy hour and which are not to be transparent. I really like it here and hope to see more fun things

Nina was very unprofessional. She locked the door because she kicked a patron out due to personal reasons and when my wife and I tried to come in, we had to bang on the door several times to get the door opened for not only ourselves, but other guests trying to come during business hours. I will be reaching out to management with details about our experience.
