Cute little shop with really good pizza. Love the thin crust and the cheese! You can't go wrong with ordering any pizza on the menu. Parking was free after 8pm, weekdays only? Otherwise, you pay for parking.
Open till 2:00 in the morning on fri and sat.! Packed with gourmet pizza loving folks. If you never been its worth trying out!
Prince street pizza is classic NY style slice pizza. I grew up eating that pizza for years back east. The square is really good. The other place that has classic NY style pizza in LA is Vito's pizza in West Hollywood
I loveeee Charlie! He was a great help at the Pasadena location he really made our great night!
This place is amazing, I was a little unsure when I first went in, but the staff are friendly and the Pizza, OMG the Pizza. I've had a few different slices, and holy cow, always good. I'm not a massive pizza fan, but this place blows most Pizzas I've had away. Cannot wait to return.
best pizza in town, Jason was super friendly and the pizza tasted really good. A shoutout to Azzy for making the pizza. Im a vegetarian so Its a little tough to find a really good place for a veg pizza that actually taste good. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for some really good pizza in the area!
Best pizza there is in Southern California…it’s that good…never had an issue here as well…and location is top tier….on Colorado in Pasadena..doesn’t get better
Best pepperoni pizza of my life. I might start eating pizza here every day... the spicy spring, holy moly...can taste the difference in the NYC tap water they use.
I'm obsessed with their 4 cheese pizza! I add pepperoni and bell peppers. Pizza sauce gives me heart burn so I love that this is pizza sauce-less but has all the amazing pizza flavors! The ricotta and garlic give it the perfect flavor. The thick crust is crispy and doughy at the same time. Absolutely love it!!
Pizza super yummy. Service was good and the staff helpful and friendly. Atmosphere was good but I just came for the pizza. I tried this place in New York and I am so happy it's in Pasadena. One bite and enjoy.
Great pizza indeed; ordered the Original cheese pizza and added “Beef” pepperoni. Tastes so good. The real question is; is this 100% all beef pepperoni or does it contain any pork?
The slices are legit. The vodka pepperoni thing is great. Also late night dining, they are open until 2 am. You can order whole pies or by the slice. Definitely one of the top 5 spots in Pasadena or SGV.
I was so happy to try a slice today! I grew up on 30 yrs of NY pizza and the sicilian I got today didn't disappoint! If you need a nice outdoor spot to eat your pizza, go to the open plaza behind Alo & Nike only a block away. Price point is good ... I'd rather eat a fresh slice with marinara & mozzarella than a fast food meal. And, the cashier was super nice. Can't wait to bring my kids!
Wife and I had a few slices of Prince Street Pizza in Little Italy, NYC 15 years ago. We were shocked that pizza could be this good. They've since expanded to SoCal. We got a Margherita Pizza from their Pasadena store and it did not disappoint. Not one little bit. In fact my taste buds like it more than the pizza at Mozza. (No disrespect to Mozza and wonder chef Silverton. That place is much more than pizza.) In fact we had it 3 weekends ago. Then we had it 2 weekends ago. We were contemplating another go at it this past weekend. But we already had already made an extravagant dining plan and didn't want to cancel. Perhaps we can start another streak?
Some of the best pizza I’ve had, and definitely top pizza places in LA. The staff are also the best in town, good vibes all around!
This place is a gem! The team here is awesome! 1st time there, and I thought I ordered a round pizza with peperoni. To my surprise, our pizza was square. This is the spicy peperoni. I was puzzled, went to the counter, and asked what this was. The person behind the counter was super nice and explained this to me. My concern was that my mom did not eat spicy food. This team was willing to make a different pizza for her. This was beyond what I expected! I thanked them, but I said, "Let's see how spicy it is." My mom tried it, and it was good for her. That's just great customer service. Now, this square pizza was amazing. I'm not going to lie. I was skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised! The crust was so flavorful, the sauce was good. Not only was the customer service amazing, but the food was amazing too! If you're in Pasadena you must come here, you won't be disappointed! Thank you so much for a fantastic experience.
N.y. style pizza. I got a meat lovers slice and a soda. The slice was loaded and hot. No complaints. Will go again if we are in Pasadena again.
Charlie was amazing! Everyone is charming, the pizza is amazing and the vibes are immaculate for rainy new years 🎉
Charlie was a great help at the Pasadena location, he really made our night! We will definitely be back!
I was craving pizza so I googled what’s around and found Prince St pizza at 10:10 pm. Called into see what they had, the young lady on the phone was nice and cool about telling me what they had. Most places are A” holes when it comes to that. Can in and the place was clean and clean. I was greeted by a smiling face named Liz & Adriana that recommended the Naughty pie & The Fancy Prince! Woowowowow is an understatement! Top tier flavor. Highly recommend this spot! Oh and did I say they were open late! 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Good sized slices for the price, and the pizza was good too! Employees were friendly, place was clean, and good atmosphere
Thank you so much!!! You guys are awesome. As an international caller, it was incredibly kind of your phone operator to give me the Ranger code free of charge after my card's details didn't work. Good luck with the future of the business; I wish you all the best. Leaving a positive review was the least I could do. I can't wait to wear it in-game. Take care, — a Doom fan
The potato pizza is delicious! Amazing creative pizza with innovative toppings and a good vibe.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Prince St. Pizza Co. and was thoroughly impressed with the exceptional service provided by Brandon. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, Brandon's warm and friendly demeanor immediately put me at ease. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he was happy to offer recommendations based on my preferences. The pizza we ordered was absolutely delicious, and Brandon's attention to detail ensured that our meal was served promptly and with the utmost care. What truly set Brandon apart was his genuine enthusiasm for his job. His passion for providing excellent customer service was evident in every interaction. I would highly recommend Prince St. Pizza Co., and I can't say enough about the fantastic experience I had thanks to Brandon's exceptional service.
Third was the nicest worker ever, he puts so much work into being an amazing server and builds a meaningful connection with all the customers. THANK YOU THIRD THE GOATTT.
The vegan pizza here is *incredible.* I am fairly obsessed with the crust because it isn’t that thin greasy wobbly New York style BS. It’s thicker and bready, like a focaccia but even better. The staff is super nice, and the kitchen looks clean. Although the music can be a little loud, it is always a good playlist, so I do enjoy the atmosphere overall.
I love Prince Street Pizza! The Detroit-style pizza (square-shape) is way better than the triangle slices. It's doughy, chewy but crunchy - good if you like carbs. This is a good alternative in Southern California (east LA) if you can't get the OG Prince Street pizza in New York City. The Spicy Spring is just alright to me, but it seems to be a popular one. I like the Naughty Pie with the hot honey and the Original Prince. The Oakey Smokey was not bad, but there was no meat. This location is in the heart of old town Pasadena on Colorado Blvd. There are some metered street parking for $1.25/hour on Colorado, but chances are they're taken. There is a parking structure you can enter from Raymond that is only $1 for the first two hours. There are some free street parking spots that are farther away though. They have bathrooms in the back of the restaurant. There are plenty of tables and seating inside. They have a section for recycling used pizza boxes. The condiments are at the counter and cannot be taken to your table. Enter your phone number for the loyalty program. Credit card/Apple Pay accepted.
I really loved that Ms. Lauryn Hill was 🔛 the audio box📻 when I arrived to this location ⏰ the atmosphere was friendly. The business across the street had 🔛 strobe lights so every once & again you see some blue party lights hit the wall•edge of the establishment. May was magnificent. The Naughty Pie pizza was outstanding. The absolute star though, was that garlic aïoli 👀 😃MG garlic aïoli is a must have when you visit this place. Simply the best🍕dip❣️p.s. ✅the pizza box also has a limited run advertisement for dark ages I love little local #businesses getting big endorsements. Great job #biz #pros #goals 🧾
Park in a structure and stroll around old town P-town before indulging in the best pizza in LA. Fast service of nice fresh and hot, oily, decadent slices of pizza pie. They let us know that they won't sell you a slice if it's not behind the glass. They want to make sure they're selling you something fresh. I had one Naughty slice and a Meat Lovers slice. One would have sufficed. Two rendered me immobile. Garlic, parmesan cheese, chili pepper flakes and oregano are available to add to your pizza but not any sauces like ranch or Bleu cheese They're pretty proud of this and it's advertised on the signage. Don't make the mistake of asking! Plenty of seating indoors in a spacious, air-conditioned restaurant. Upgrade from their Arts district location, for sure.
I was there last Friday around noon and the woman working the register (dark hair, brown eyes) was really kind and had a friendly energy. I sat inside for a while to eat then went back up to get some pizza to go, but a reallyyyyy big group came in front of me to order so I had to wait a little while. However the same woman who helped me seemed so patient with them and was as equally friendly to me as she’d been before once she was done with their group, and her niceness made my day!
Third and Kai were the NICEST servers EVER, they single handedly made me want to come back every day. I honestly believe that Third and Kai are the best workers and servers that I’ve ever met. I COMPLETELY RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO COME AND TRY PRIMCE STREET!!
Ordered a slice of the Spicy Spring and The Sunset Square. The Spicy Spring is an elevated take on the pepperoni pizza with sizable pepperoni slices covering thick oozy layers of the fresh mozzarella and pecorino romano cheese. The Fra Diavolo sauce of this pizza gives it a nice kick too. The Sunset Square is a classy cheesy pizza with "Sweet Marinara" that blends nicely with the mozarellas and pecorino romano. The "Sweet Marinara" does add sweetness to balance the cheese notes; and there's a hint of garlic in this too. Parking in this area is available at nearby parking garages like the Schoolhouse Garage for a fee or street parking too.
The atmosphere was bumping with high vibes and energy. Picked up the naughty pie and checked out with my man Charlie. Great customer service and attention to detail. The pizza was absolutely delicious. Will be back, Mahalo 🤙
I had this in New York in 2021 and it brought me back to the Big Apple the moment I tried their meat lovers pizza. The ambiance of this place is very much modernized and had plenty of space. Place was somewhat packed on a Sunday evening and it tells how hip this place is. I now suddenly miss New York. Try their original prince pizza and meat lovers. Make sure to sprinkle parmesan, and garlic.
Compared to the downtown LA little Tokyo location, this Prince St Pizza was an awesome experience. The dude working behind the counter was so nice and friendly! I ordered the Fancy Prince to-go to so I could heat it up and enjoy it at home at a later time. I’ve tried at least a half dozen different pizzas from here and The Fancy Prince is hands down my favorite!! I can’t wait to come back soon.
Omgosh !!! I can’t believe prince st opened up in Pasadena !!! We were just walking by and saw it - we had just eaten but we had to try it !! We took a few slices home for later and we just ate it . Omg it was so good !!! How is there so much flavor in a cheese pizza ?! Probably the best pizza we have had yet in socal !! Definitely going back !! Wow
My boyfriend and I love to stop by at Prince St. Pizza whenever we are in the area. The pizza is really good and fresh. Also they take your order really quickly. On this occasion Adriana and Steven helped us out and we were in and out within 20 minutes of getting there. They took our order, and mentioned that some of the flavors we wanted would take a couple of minutes. It is definitely worth the wait for some of those flavors so we waited and got it fresh! Our pizza was ready in less time than they had estimated which was also a plus! Loved the food at the service as always!
I came on a particularly busy weekend (a convention at the nearby convention center) and I was still given exceptional service and awesome food! I loved how patient and friendly the staff were even though there was a busy lunch rush! Particular standouts were Branden and Jose! I definitely plan on coming back again in the future :)
My partner and I were in town for a weekend getaway and wanted to try something we can’t have back home. We found Prince Street and it was such a lovely experience. I’m gluten free and food options can be limiting, especially good pizza. This place was perfect! We were checked on by one of the managers, Monica, and she was patient with all of my questions and got us really excited about how fresh all the ingredients were. She walked me through the GF option and ensured we had a wonderful date night. Thank you to you and your team for a great experience. If I’m back in Pasadena this will be a definite stop again.
Feeling under the weather so decided to order delivery from here per my son's request. Got the little prince and the meat lover. Ordered through Toast but my order never came, turns out the delivery option was turned on but that was a total mistake. Called and spoke with Sheena and she looked into it. Called back after 10 mins and she was nice enough to deliver it herself! The pizzas were good but I'm thoroughly impressed with her dedication and professionalism. Totally saved the night cuz I've got two hungry kids at home. Hope corporate sees this cuz you've won a customer for life!!! Thanks again Sheena.
Prince Street Pizza is absolutely incredible. Every slice is perfectly cooked with that ideal balance of soft, fluffy interior and crispy, crunchy edges. The flavors are unreal. We ordered both the classic Margherita slice and the square Margherita, and even though they're technically the same style, they tasted like two completely different (and equally amazing) pizzas. What truly made our experience unforgettable was Sheena. She is an absolute gem—so kind, sweet, personable, and genuinely passionate about the food. Her recommendations were spot on. She suggested the Green Machine and the pizza with hot honey, and wow... we were completely blown away. Every bite was next-level delicious. Between the outstanding pizza and Sheena's amazing hospitality, this place exceeded all expectations. We will 100% be back-and honestly, especially to see her again.
If you’re a true pizza lover, Prince Street Pizza in Pasadena is non-negotiable. I tried four different slices — the Spicy Vodka, Meat Lovers, Regular Pepperoni, and Naughty Pie — and every single one was phenomenal in its own way. The Spicy Vodka slice was creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced with a subtle kick that didn’t overpower. The Meat Lovers was loaded with hearty toppings that still allowed the sauce and crust to shine — you could tell everything was high-quality and baked to perfection. The Regular Pepperoni is a must-try classic, those signature cup-and-char pepperonis giving that crisp edge and burst of flavor every bite. But the real star? The Naughty Pie. It’s on another level — bold, savory, slightly spicy, and layered with so much depth of flavor that you can taste why it’s their signature slice. That crispy-chewy crust with caramelized edges and molten cheese is pure perfection. The vibe inside is fast-casual but cool, with great energy and staff who clearly take pride in what they’re serving. Whether you grab a quick lunch or bring friends for a casual night out, this place delivers every time. In short: Prince Street Pasadena brings NYC quality to LA County — every slice feels like it came straight from the heart of Manhattan. Don’t skip the Naughty Pie.
Love eating this place. This is the only place I get pizza. Staff was very friendly. Place was very clean. Pizza was fresh and the cookies as well. Would recommend this place for eveyone. Who loves pizza 🍕
2nd time here!! First time during the Eaton fire and got addicted to their pizza. Back today and oh man, I just got a bunch of different slices cause they all taste so good. If you have not tried Prince Street Pizza, you are missing out!!! Great atmosphere and customer service. Also clean and well taken care of which makes it more satisfying to eat here!!! Your friendly firefighter that loves to eat!!!!!!
This place is the best!! Extremely friendly staff. Very very beautiful, delicious and filling pizza. 100% recommend. Definitely give the coffee rootbeer soda a try with the best slices in Pasadena
Been here late night and during the day and it’s always delicious. I’m trying to think of the best pizza in Los Angeles and Prince Street might take the cake. They have vegan and gluten-free options at this location. Their gluten-free dough is prepped in the same kitchen as their regular dough so keep that in mind if you have celiac. Grab a slice of the Neapolitan (thin, round pizza) or a Sicilian square slice (thick crust), or both! You line up, pick slices you’d like, and they heat the pizza up to perfection before placing them in a box for you. Their spicy pie with small pepperonis and their 4 cheese pizzas are a favorite and go quick. If they’re out, they’ll make more within 15 minutes and it’s worth the wait. Casual seating area with free water. This location has some street parking out front, most people walk up to grab a slice here. Sometimes they have dessert like slices of cheese cake or chocolate cake and they’re delicious.
Great atmosphere and some of the kindest staff ive ever met at a restauraunt. No joke 10/10 pizza. Shoutout to Third and Kai for taking such good care of us!
Prince Street how I love thee. Tasty pizza New York treat. Crispy, chewy, flavored bites, takeout for a lazy night. The vibes are great, the staff is nice. Perfect price to not think twice. The spicy spring reigns supreme, but lady margh can take a swing. Every slice is a delight… just don’t ask for ranch ‘cause they don’t have any.
I love the passion for pizza. I arrived on a Saturday afternoon and was surprised to find this place packed on a rainy day. Seating is limited with about 7 tables to seat 3-4 people each. Upon entering, the wall to the left is lined with photographs of celebrities that visited Prince Street Pizza. This was my first time here and I didn't realize how popular it would be. Dane gave me the rundown of the history and different types of pizzas they offer. The square pizzas are Sicilian style and the circle pizzas are Neapolitan style. The Naughty Pie is a fan favorite so I went with that as my free slice and ordered a pizza to-go. The pizza dough was so fluffy and the crust was crispy. The ricotta cheese was slightly sweet and went nicely with the pizza sauce. Our pizza was piping hot with freshness.
I recently ordered takeout from Prince Street Pizza in Pasadena, and it was fantastic! Their meat-laden pizzas are a carnivore’s dream, piled high with flavorful, high-quality toppings. The crust was perfectly crusty, holding up beautifully even after the drive home. The combination of savory meats and expertly made dough made for an unforgettable meal. If you’re craving top-notch pizza for takeout, Prince Street Pizza is a must-try!
First and foremost I would like to point out that this place has the best pizza I’ve had in years. Second, the people that work here are incredible, so sweet, over the topic service, and most importantly, passionate about their pizza. Thank you for everything and giving my best friend and I an amazing experience!
Great pizza. The sauce has a smokey flavor to it. This restaurant is a west coast location of the popular Prince St. Pizza in NYC. They sell by the slice and have quite a few options on the menu. The pizza has a crispiness to it, is hot, and the flavors are vibrant. Definitely worth trying for yourself.
Pretty consistent with the quality of the original. Most slices are very good, but the spicy spring is pretty outstanding. Definitely try that if you haven’t. Good go-to pizza place, but given the higher-than-average prices, I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.
Seriously the best pizza ever! I thought Chicago deep dish was good but I don't know.... lol. This New York pizza deserves mad respect! Their menu explains that they use water filtration to match that of New York's. It's definitely working. I've been to their Costa Mesa, Pasadena, 3rd street DTLA locations and they all have the same great taste!
Great New York style pizza! I hadn’t gotten the chance to try this place when I was in New York and so was super excited to find a location here. Service is quick and the food comes out hot. I now know where to go when I’m craving a pepperoni pizza with loads of pepperoni. It comes by the slice if you’re into that. We waited about 10 minutes before we got our food. Not overly crowded.
Been wanting to try this spot since I saw them at Coachella and Stagecoach, and luckily they recently opened one in Pasadena. They have one vegan options that sounds basic but it’s everything you want in a pizza of their style. Vegan cheese, sauce and basil with the right amount of crunchiness. They don’t do any sort of dipping sauces to keep the focus on the pizza. This location has a cool outside, a great neon sign inside, tons of pictures of celebs that have visited and an art piece on the wall that is definitely picture worthy. Service was great and quick. A fresh pizza does take about 15 min to come out but it’s worth the wait. Happy Munchies, @aVeganAndHer

Happy people making great Pizzas. I don't live near any Prince St Pizza locations and still go out of my way for the only 2 locations "nearby"

The workers here are so awesome. They put so much work into their beautiful pizzas and are so nice and kind. The pizzas are also wonderful and magical and the atmosphere is beautiful 10 out of 10 would recommend. 3rd is the best worker imaginable he puts so much time into his craft and it’s so fun and chill. Also with the squeaky clean tables Kai. I appreciate you all so much and will never forget this beautiful experience.

Came here for pizza because my boyfriend came from NY, and misses NY style pizza. This had been the place everyone seemingly recommend for those who are home sick in wanting that true NY experience in pizza. So here we are. We ordered 4 slices to share: Spicy Spring Pie, The Naughty Pie, The Meat Lover, Oakey Smokey Pizza All of the slices were super flavorful, and taste like pizza obviously. Great crisps, moisture when needed, and also just enough topping. Seemingly popular spot as many of the people we saw came in to grab a box to go. Their top favorites seemingly recommendation was Spicy Spring Pie, The Naughty Pie. The other 2 I didn't list were just okay. I do agree with their top recommendation. For some reason the meat lover pizza, some meat on it seemingly tasted like it went bad, so I wasn't sure what that was about, and i was disappointed at one of the slices, otherwise all the other ones were not bad. They do show serving alcohol, but the only alcohol option they have is this 0.01% beer lite that they sell, not really alcoholic in type of drinks if you ask me. anyways, small venue, but lots of photos the owners have with celeberies, so that was cool too. would come back again, just not for meat lover parking: street parking (good luck on peak hours), otherwise nearby parking structures.
Pizza is delicious, love the variety. I have ordered "to go" and it's usually really quick. Their pizza by the slice selection is dope. Bathroom is clean and staff is chill. Love the Spanish music coming from the kitchen.
Prince Street has always been a dream of mine to eat at. I finally ended up going there late at night and realized they offer a gluten free crust. It’s $5 extra just to get the crust on a small pizza. Long ago I regularly ate Chicago style and I remember the perfection of the crust. This gluten free option was pretty boring. Still an amazing step in the right direction for people with gluten allergies. Can we get it a bit less expensive? $29 for a small pizza is a bit nuts.
I think this is a pretty well known pizza spot and I can see why. Quality of the pizza is high because of the great ingredients and interesting recipes. I had the Naughty pizza and pretty delicious. Not sure I was blown away by anything though, but I'm going to come back!
Well for starters I've never been here so it was a bit frustrating that I was treated as such nd felt a bit rushed to order so I just ordered whatever.. Once I got my order it was wrong but bcuz there was a long line I just shrugged my shoulders nd my damn pizza was cold granted it had just came out the oven!! Would I come back? Um I might bcuz some pizzas were great like the Four Cheese..
I went last week with my mom for dinner. We got four slices: the Spicy Spring Pie, The Naughty, Spicy Vodka, and the Fancy Prince Pizza. Service: The cashier who helped me was incredibly nice and patient. He helped me choose my two slices after I told him I mainly wanted pepperoni. He gave me his recommendation and what was popular, which I appreciate. Because we got 4 slices, he said I could get a Togo box and ask for plates so we could eat there. The person who gave the food on the other hand was really rude. After he gave me my food, I asked for plates. He asked why I wanted plates if it was Togo. I told him the cashier said I could ask for plates. He then rolled his eyes and scolded me saying next time I shouldn't ask for a to go box if I was going to eat there. It was a really rude and unnecessary interaction over 2 plates. I used the to go box to bring home the 2.5 slices I had left at the end of the meal anyways 🤷♀️ Food: Spicy Spring was the better of the two slices I tried. I like it but I don't think it's worth the price. The Naughty Slice wasn't really my cup of tea. I don't think the honey was a good balance for the pizza slice. My mom liked the Fancy Prince Pizza. The next day, she tried the Spicy Vodka and told me about how good it was. My mom rarely compliments anything so this is highly recommended! Ambiance: The place is clean and has everything you could want at a pizza place. It's a really nice vibe. Family friendly or a good date night spot. Just unfortunate that the customer service is a hit or a miss.
My experience here was sour from the start and time hasn’t made it better. To put it upfront for readers, the pizza is pretty good I guess. However, it’s way overpriced and not the best pizza in the vicinity. I got a full 8-piece square “Naughty Pie”, takeaway, and I really liked it on the first hungry bite. A few more bites in and I realized that the sauce is much too sweet to pair with the ricotta cheese (probably designed for the single slice), and the pepperonis were undercooked (cupped but not crispy). What bothered me most was the takeout experience. I’d been texted that my pizza was ready. Inside I followed the signs for takeout, directly to the pickup counter. I stood there for 5 actual minutes waiting for anyone to address me. There was a guy behind the front counters, making pizzas, who made eye contact with me several times and when he came around to the front I thought he’d help me, but no he did nothing of the sort. Call me too reserved but I don’t think I should have to yell to be served as a customer when I’m standing right where I should be standing. I was passed by several times by staff who clearly had their job to do, but training should include some awareness to pause, ask me what I’m here for, and let me know that such and such will help me in a second. Sorry, but just really bad service experience. I did eventually leave with my overpriced pizza and enjoyed it for what it was.
Prince Street Pizza is trying to repeat the experience of a New York pizza place. They have a lot of pizzas ready for you to order a slice, which is then heated in their pizza oven. You can also order a whole pie, which would be made for you. We had slices. The slices had sat for a while, and even heating them up didn't revive them, which was too bad. There is minimal seating. It's tough to come with a group. The staff were great, though.
There’s not much to write home about when it comes to the pizza. “It’s fine,” is probably the best thing I could say regarding Prince Street Pizza. While it was not bad, the taste was rather generic especially for the price you’re paying of $7-10 per slice. Definitely not worth the cost and you’re better off just going to a different pizzeria especially local Italian establishments which are plenty in the area.
The pizza is all right. It’s fairly expensive but the pizza you get it equals out in terms of size and weight. the cheese to bread ratio I think there’s a little bit too much cheese. The bread is a little too doughy for my taste, but decent pizza. Don’t know if I order from here again. I ordered delivery so I don’t know if getting it fresh hot from the oven it’ll be a little bit better. I might try that in the future. But not what I was expecting

The staff doesn't know what they have and don't. They've been out of mozzarella sticks more than they've had them in stock.
If you want Prince St. Pizza go to NYC. This is not it. Regular cheese slice was undercooked with too-sweet sauce. Pepperonisquare was over done, rock hard on the bottom. After 40 years of eating New York pizza, I feel qualified to say this is below standard. UPDATE: I have been back to Prince St. Pizza in Pasadena twice since my first review. The second visit was better than before. I got another plain slice which redeemed the first. It was cooked well, had a nice char on the crust and was flavorful. I also got a meat lovers which was obsene... way too much meat... so much fell off the slice after one bite. If that's your thing, then go for it! For me it was way too much and not enjoyable. My third visit was today. They regressed. Back to the terrible plain slice, undercooked on the bottom with a not-uniform crust. I picked up the slice and the whole thing flopped down. I should not have to use 2 hands to eat a plain slice of NY style pizza. I got the "fancy" slice as well - this one was good, had a nice char on it and very flavorful sauce. In conclusion... this Prince Street site lacks consistency. By now I expect them to have it together. Instead, I will head over to Prime Pizza or Pie Life when I want a slice.
I ordered 3 pizzas and a salad to be delivered. Only 2 showed up with the salad. I called, they took the blame and requested me to pay for another delivery driver and that it was at the shop if I wanted it. When I worked at a pizza shop there wouldof been someone on the road correcting their mistake or giving an option to correct the situation.
Went before an event at the rose bowl. It was very busy. Ordered a couple slices that I knew were available. Next 10+ customers behind me in line all got their orders before mine came out (even some with the style slices). Not sure what happened but frustrating to have tipped 20% and then receive poor service
Don’t be fooled by the celebrity pictures on the wall. The pizza was very disappointing. First, it looks like these celeb pics were taken at their NY location. BUT…just because a celebrity walked in and took a photo doesn’t mean the food is good. This pizza was hard and burnt. If you get the square shaped slice, it’s mainly crust….hard and burnt crust. Pizza also lacked flavor. I do have to acknowledge the exceptional service though. They were pleasant and energetic. Great staff but poor pizza.
Prompt pickup for takeout. Pizza sauce is very sweet and crust is intentionally (?) not cooked all the way. None of our group enjoyed this. Over $40 for 8 slices.
I had three different slices and they all just tasted like crackers with sauce. Members of my party also got really burnt slices. Way too expensive for what's essentially flour and water.
The pizza was great—but the service was terrible. The head cashier was visibly stressed, annoyed, and totally over it. No professionalism, no courtesy, and no effort to provide a basic level of customer service. The self-serve water was empty, and when we asked if it could be refilled, he told us we’d have to wait. Fair enough—but after waiting and going up three times, he got annoyed and clearly didn’t want to deal with it. It was frustrating and disappointing, especially as paying customers. We came for a good experience, not to feel like we were inconveniencing the staff just by being there.
**Rating: 2 out of 5 stars** As someone who lives only one block away from Prince St. Pizza, I was thrilled when I heard they were opening a location in Pasadena. I had been eagerly waiting for months because I truly believe this urban neighborhood needs a pizza-by-the-slice joint, just like Boston or New York. The idea of a slice business is fantastic, and I was very happy about it. However, I have to be honest about the quality of the pizza at Prince St. Pizza. I've gotten it at least four times in the past couple of months simply because it's the only pizza-by-the-slice place in Old Town Pasadena. Unfortunately, each experience has been disappointing. The quality, texture, taste, and ingredients are simply garbage compared to other pizza places. On a good day, the pizza might be a 3 out of 10, but most days, it's a solid 2 out of 10. It's a shame because there are other expensive pizza restaurants around that aren't open late, which makes Prince St. Pizza a popular choice by default. I believe the business will do well because of this lack of competition. However, if you're reading this, I beg you to have some quality control and improve the taste. The place has the potential to be half-decent, but right now, it's not. Staff are super nice and very hard-working truly cannot say enough nice things about them. But I’m sure that they got sick of this pizza on their third shift because of how terrible the quality is objectively. If that barstool guy ever reviews it it’ll be made more obvious, but he probably has way better things to do and way better thing places to review. Despite the poor quality, I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the decorations, branding, and interior are super cool and remind me of New York and Boston, which I absolutely love. Please, let this be a wake-up call. Step up your game and make the taste better! This is as honest as I can make my review and I hope that it serves as a constructive feedback to make the quality slightly better. They are guys are lucky there is no pizza by slice competition here and this is located in the best part of old town Pasadena if it was anywhere else it would’ve never survived
I was really excited to try this new pizza spot in Pasadena. I am a huge pizza fan, and love trying new places. Unfortunately, PSP did not live up to ny expectations. The ordering process is complicated, at best. We had to place 2 different orders, just to get 2 different slices of pizza. Upon receiving our food, we noticed the following: - The corner slice is mostly bread. - The Naughty slice of pizza had little cheese, and the presence of the hot honey was not discernable. (which was the big reason for selecting it). - There was no where near sufficient dressing for the ceasar salad. - The risotto balls were extremely bland, lacking salt. - The spicy marinara dipping sauce was like ice cold. The Coke Zero was the only enjoyable part of my meal. I offer this feedback in the genuine hope that it would be constructive in making improvements to your establishment.
I was extremely disappointed to find out the owners of this chain are known racists. And not just an ignorant or misinformed comment or something. They were consistently disparaging people of color in yelp responses, and on Twitter. They made several disgusting Twitter comments about people being run over by vehicles during the BLM protests. If you want to know more there is a very informative Eater LA article about them. Nothing against the employees or whoever is running the Pasadena store, but this chain has no business being in Pasadena. The owners "stepped down" from being in the public eye but they are still the owners. Customers are, at the end of the day, giving their money to the two racists company owners. I ate here for the first time knowing nothing about it and loved the pizza. It PAINS me to have found out about this place just today having this reprehensible history, because the pizza was so good! There are other restaurants and certainly other pizza places to give your business, including a very wholesome local chain. Pasadena allowing this business to open is extremely disappointing.
So let me first off to say, I am not a fan of this place Coming from New York and what we got from California this is the worst pizza in the world. It is uneatable. I think Domino’s is way better. I just hope my brother Has a change of heart in this restaurant he likes this place. He brings the food home so when I get to his house, I eat it and honestly I could say it’s torment. It’s spicy sweet not delicious pizza with bad sauce The only way I will get rid of this review if you guys pay us back The money we spent on this garbage
First time coming here. I only came because a friend wanted to. There's a better place in my neighborhood that I go to when I crave pizza (Triple Beam Pizza). I ordered a slice of the Veggie Original which has veggies as one might expect. So I was surprised to see 0 veggies on my slice when I went to pick it up. I asked the guy who handed me the slice where the veggies were. He said that doesn't come with veggies and that I have it confused with the vegan (which doesn't make sense since it has cheese). I showed him the sign (see pic) that there is in fact the Veggie Original with veggies. He said oh that sign should be updated. Why wouldn't the cashier tell me they don't have that pizza anymore instead of just giving me a cheese pizza?! It's so ridiculous. They didn't even try to make it up to me somehow. Don't recommend this place. Go somewhere else. Additionally the pizza was mediocre at best.
First bad experience I've had here. I came hungry from an event and decided to come here for the fast service. Unfortunately, the African American guy who took my order who's name started with a C completely forgets about my order. I had 7+ people go ahead of me and I only ordered 2 slices. I waited patiently and decided to bring up my issue after more than 20+ minutes went by. I ask for my food if it's even in the oven and for my refund. Girl in the front counter kindly helps me get my refund but the guy notices after giving me my box then decides to be inconsiderate and says "why doesn't he just leave the food." below his breath. Im not someone to cause conflict but I found this unacceptable and not necessary if the situation was already being handled. I hope this person faces consequences and learns to handle his emotions. I will be calling the owner if my refund doesn't come back because the girl couldn't even provide me a receipt. I didn't even bother eating at the establishment so probably won't be back.
March 7th, 2026 around 10:30 PM. This place lives up to the rumors about being racist and having terrible customer service. I knew better than to walk in, but I was hungry and made the WRONG choice. Don't go here. I would rather STARVE than eat their salty, crusty (not in a good way) old pizza. The guy behind the register, heating up slices was rude to everyone, which made me feel less bad about his dismissive, short, condescending attitude. I made the mistake of asking for a different slice than the one he chose. Usually that's no big deal, it didn't leave the pan and barely touched his spatula. Then he picks up the phone as i'm ordering and starts giving the poor person on the phone and gets petty with that person too. There's much more that I don't have the time or energy to put towards THIS AWFUL PLACE just be WARNED. take upur money elsewhere anywhere but here
