FINALLY, there is a spot in the Fitler Square, Graduate Hospital area, where you can have an elevated yet still casual dining experience. I've been here 3x since it opened: solo, with my family, and with friends. I went 10-15 minutes before opening twice, fully anticipating a long line and had a reservation the third time. It's not every day a Michelin-starred restaurant owner opens a more casual restaurant to serve the community, so of course, it's always packed. If you want to eat here on the first visit (especially during the first few months of opening), getting there a little before 4pm when it opens, or putting your name in within the first 30 minutes of opening has worked for me. As has setting a reminder and making a reservation within a minute or two of them dropping. I'm grateful to Libbie Loup Hospitality for taking a chance in the vacant space in this neighborhood and for making it kid-friendly. Each visit, I've been met with kindness by the staff. They offered to help me break down and put my stroller back together, gave my kid the cutest-ever baby plate and cutlery, and have been patient and caring. I'm a big fan of many things on the menu, and right now the squash fondue, eggplant parm, turkey club, and the carrot cake are at the top of my list. I look forward to coming here for many years to come. Thank you, Pine Street Grill!!

A great neighborhood spot, with delicious food across the board. Everything we ordered was fresh and incredibly well done. Thank you to Ally for making us feel so welcome. We’re extremely grateful for even more access to Chef Alex and Chef Amandas food and can’t wait to be back and bring our friends.

A perfect meal! We loved being able to pop in for an early dinner that felt like a later evening vibe. We loved the apps, salad, burger, and got one of each dessert. They even had a PSG baby bib and plate/ cutlery for our toddler

Was excited to check out Pine Street Grill. The ambiance is casual and chill in the best way, and the menu feels homey with really approachable prices. I grabbed a seat at the bar (solo) and got lucky, but the space is small so you’ll likely have a wait depending on the time of day. They do take limited reservations. I ordered the burger with Cooper Sharp and an onion topping and it was excellent. The key lime pie was also delicious. Nice looking beer and cocktail menu, and friendly service all around. Looking forward to coming back to try more of the menu!

Probamos las Philly Balls y la hamburguesa PSG, ambos tienen muy buen sabor. El local no es tan grande y es muy popular así que siempre está lleno/hay fila, pero una vez dentro la atención es excelente. Recomendado!

Amazing food and cocktail program. The head bartender Josh, absolutely made our night. We went to celebrate my birthday, we didn’t even have to tell the staff it was a special occasion but they pulled out all the stops. Great experience!

Fitler Square deserves a top notch restaurant and bar, and it certainly found that with Pine Street Grill. Arguably the best burger in the entire city - the roll is perfect and the cooper sharp cheese is an awesome touch. Gourmet comfort / bar food with elite service and unpretentious hospitality - the staff was so friendly and patient with our 1.5 year old son.

a wonderful neighborhood spot! a great change of pace from libby loup without sacrificing any of the quality we have come to expect! love that tables are held for walk-ins and that you can put a name down and come back when a table opens!

10/10 experience. Share the burger, the Greek salad, and the wings for a perfect game day meal. Loved the casual ambiance, great food, and top notch service! Cant wait to come back.

Great addition to neighborhood. Everyday happy hour is such a treat and the Shrimp Pil Pil honors fond memories of Dimitri’s. Need to come back for the Burger

A masterclass in the "neighborhood favorite." After the high-concept brilliance of Her Place and My Loup, Amanda Shulman and Alex Kemp have created something Philadelphia desperately needed: a cozy, approachable corner spot that doesn’t sacrifice an ounce of culinary integrity. The vibe is effortlessly cool but welcoming—perfect for a Tuesday night burger or a weekend family dinner. The PSG Burger is already legendary (that dry-aged double patty is a dream), but don't sleep on the matzah ball soup or the rotisserie chicken, which taste like the best possible versions of home cooking. It’s rare to find a place that feels this grounded while being run by a Michelin-starred team. Whether you’re here for the $20 late-night burger-and-beer special or a full spread of "Philly Balls" and eggplant parm, you can feel the care in every bite. A true gem for Fitler Square!

The service was warm and hospitable and the food was delicious! I had the matzo ball soup and it was so perfect for a cold winter day. I will be back many times!!!

Absolutely dynamite. Not fancy. Just good. A welcome addition to the neighborhood. I expect to be a regular.

I wish this was closer to use so we could eat here three times a week! The ideal neighborhood spot. I dream of the eggplant parm!

Really good! The fat eggplant parm was probably the most surprising standout but we also had the burger, shrimp pil pil, wings, philly balls, and pretzel. Everything was great.

We walked into Pine Street Grill on Valentines Day and had a great experience. The staff were all exceptionally attentive and friendly. Their espresso martini is excellent. I had the eggplant and LOVED it. I wish it had been served warmer but I will definitely be back to have it again. We also got the cookie skillet which was only OK - I think usually those are better served on the gooey side - this cookie almost could have been picked up and eaten out the skillet. The ambiance and decor (and music!) are great. Can't wait to to be back.

It makes me feel warm and safe to know that Pine Street Grill is in the neighborhood. Everything Amanda and Alex touch turns to yum. Super smart team. The whole operation is so competent right out of the gate. Food is fantastic and accessible. The best wings, Philly Balls, PSG burger, mac & cheese, pretzel, nuggs, interesting salads, matzah ball soup; lots more comfort food as well as fine dining options like steak, salmon and chicken that make for a sweet ‘n’ easy evening. Appropriate for actual as well as grown up kids. Get the carrot cake. Happy hour from 4-6. Burger and beer special from 9:30-10:30. Excellent bartenders! Thanks Jill, Josh and Catherine. While a reservation is not easy to score, I’ve had good luck with walk ins. This place has been popping from the get go.

This place is special. I’ve walked in twice with no reservation and grabbed a bar seat instantly. I know a lot of that is luck with their seating policy, which I understand logistically makes sense for the restaurants effort to prioritize open seating for walk ins. The Staff and ambiance are warm, welcoming and the atmosphere is everything you’d want from a neighborhood grill. The food is where PSG sets itself apart from other local bar/grill experiences. Over two visits, I had wings, the burger, Greek salad, shrimp and the matzah soup; all exceeded any expectation I would have for a local corner bar (understatement). The carrot cake was legitimately life changing. The Guinness is the best I’ve had in Philly - just as good as meetinghouse. My buddy ordered from the wine list, something I know very little about, and he was impressed with the selections from the glass and blown away by the bottle selection. Make it a point to check out PSG.

Great PSG burger! Get there early! Seem like tables are set up more for 2 people seating. Limited seating for big parties

Just ok. I tried the wings and the burger, and while nothing was bad, I was underwhelmed. The atmosphere is very small, dark, and dingy inside. It's also very crowded, with staff lurking and staring over you. I was really looking forward to trying this place, but I doubt I'll be back.

A disgrace! We live 300 feet from Pine Street Grill. Walked in at 630 on a Thursday saying “We are just going to have a drink at the bar.” The Host says “Oh No…you simply cannot do that. There are no seats at the bar.” We replied “No worries. Happy to stand.” Hand to his heart astounded said “Oh No! You can’t just STAND at the bar!” Libbie Loup Hospitality, take your pretentiousness away from Fitler’s Square. We miss you Dmitris!
