We liked this place so much, we ate here twice. It is a true local gem. The service was friendly and helpful, the food was great, and the atmosphere was fun, with locals families celebrating birthdays.

Been here for twice, the food is soooo fantastic! yesterday my friend and i ordered a dish contains pears and noce which really amazed me a lot. The vibe of the whole restaurant is also fabulous, I like the seats in the end of the hall, which creates enough privacy
Very good pizza and a nice place
My wife, Lynn, and I have been staying in Mantova for a month and are so glad we found this restaurant. We have eaten here a few times and every experience was delightful. The atmosphere is pleasant (very local) the staff are welcoming and professional and the food is delicious. We tried a variety of dishes including the calamarata alla siciliana con pesce spada, olive e capperi, the macaroni with ragu alla vitello and of course the pizzas (especially the pizza della casa) and they were all perfectly prepared and presented. We had the privilege of being cared for by Flavio, an exceptional waiter, who always made us feel really welcome. I highly recommend Al Quadrato when you are in Mantova.
This pizza (I'm terribly sorry but I don't recall the name- it is vegetarian and had pomodoro fresco, rocket and parmasan) features in my top 10 life pizzas list, maybe even the top 5.
Amazing pizzeria, super friendly staff. When you are done eating, ask for a aranciello, it is apparently very rare and super delicious

Great food indeed. My wife had been looking for her first Italian Ice Cream since we first drove into Italy. We found a parking place on the road outside the Ristorante, and sat under the tented area outside. Within a few minutes all seats were taken. Quick service provided a lovely ice cream dish for the wife. I sampled a seafood risotto, followed by an ice cream. Coffee was typical Italian. Strong and short. All were great and well enjoyed. Just a few metres from the big square in the centre of this old town. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed.
After weeks of travelling Italy we can say: best pizza in Italy! So tasty, we were in pizza heaven. The friendly staff welcomed us with our dogs inside to sit down even though the restaurant was super busy...which isn’t the norm in Italy of you’ve got two big dogs! Pizza and dessert were extremely tasty, service was perfect and the price absolutely reasonable. We’d come back anytime.

The location is good as it overlooks a park, there is plenty of car parking spaces around the restaurant. The food was ok, not bad but not what I was hoping for. The price was ok. The waiter was a bit gloomy but attentive. Overall it was ok.
Good neighbourhood restaurant. We were the only tourists. The food is ok but not exceptional, but fair value. Beware, the wine by the glass is sweet and fizzy!

Honestly so easy to walk in and be served. They spoke English and were very kind. I got the margarita pizza very good. It was huge. Hard to eat it all alone! :)

Feel like racial.... Not pleasant at all... Not economical ... Cheap wine. Pizza is ok... The guy who take order never smile... Like we eat free food.
Rude old waiter couldn’t even be arsed to look me in the eye when telling me he wouldn’t seat us. Apparently open until 3pm, but seem to close whenever they feel like it.
Bad service, wait for 30 mins for the food. Even when we ask for several time, just a pizza and pasta. Don’t know if these are so hard to make…..
The restaurant close at 3pm for siesta, we sat there before 2:20 pm. We were told over 10 minutes later "sorry, restaurant chiuso, pizza chiuso". When I told the waiter their working hours he didn't say anything. Later he began talking with his colleague about us as we were standing right by him.
