We've been to this awesome restaurant a few times and it never disappointed us! It was Friday night so the place is packed. There was live music also. We had a great time. I ordered the peppered New York streak and my wife had the sea bass. We both enjoyed the food very much. The steak was you tender and the sea bass was so tasty. Don't know what kind of sauce they used so the sea bass but it was very delicious. We ended the meal with the banana flambe and it was so good. FYI, valet parking is $7. So it's good to bring some cash This is one of the best steak house in LA. You got to try it out!

Looked at reviews found this gem. It didnt disappoint. Our host Carrie was so wonderful, attentive, so pleasant as were ALL the other wait person who attended to us, wish I got all their names. One is our salad master who prepared our Cesar salad to perfection. Our food served were perfectly time (appetizer salad entree and dessert) temperature was perfect an all were perfectly cooked an delicious. Will definitely return next time in town. Much Mahalo to your staff for the great service you do.

The best service I have ever received except while in the Maldives. The staff makes you feel like you are a Star. The food was off the chart with so much flavor. Hats off to the Chef 👨‍🍳 I definitely will be coming back!!!

If you're anywhere near Pico Rivera and hungry for a first-class meal with service to match, you can't go wrong with Dal Rae. My wife had the chicken piccata, our daughter had the orange duck, and I ordered the halibut steak, which was the special of the day. All excellent and perfectly prepared and presented. We also ordered the cesar salad for two, which is prepared tableside and a real treat. All that with a glass of cabernet from Justin Winery in Paso Robles, which we've visited many times and love their wines. The service was perfect. We were very well attended to by several of the staff. I'm already looking forward to the next visit as soon as I can afford it!

Lunch crowd filled restaurant making it a bit noisy but service and food was excellent. We drove 20 miles to celebrate a birthday and would do it again at this restaurant. Caesar salad prepared table side is a treat. Halibut and Sea Bass cooked expertly and accompanying wine bottle expense was reasonable.

I went here recently to celebrate a friends birthday. All of us except opted for appetizers/drinks, and only one was ordering dinner. The server who was taking our orders was not very pleasant. I get it, working with people isn't always the easiest, but we were an easy bunch. The offense (apparently) committed was asking to order dinner with the appetizers. We asked so that all food could be served at the same time. The server rudely advised us she was ONLY TAKING APPETIZER ORDERS, not dinner right now. This has never been an issue, so I'm not sure if this is their "policy", but for these prices, I'd imagine they can flex a little. Despite the off vibe she was giving, our group remained pleasant. I work with people too, and the industry is very upscale, so in my opinion, there's some opportunity to be had with service or at least a coaching moment with this particular employee. When dining at an establishment such as Dal Rae, there's a level of service expected, and they missed the mark that night. Food was good otherwise, as well as ambiance. Recommendation to management, make sure the team understands the business, the expectations, and the clientele. Exude positivity and a "happy to serve you" attitude, and not act as if requests from patrons are an inconvenience and not part of the job.

I'd heard of the famous Dal Rae and finally took a chance on it for date night before my man left for deployment. My ultimate assessment is that it's a destination for a nostalgic 1950s dinning experience more than it is fine dinning. To start, I had researched the menu beforehand and wanted to start with the fried goat cheese salad. However, our server told us that they would be making a Cesar salad table side, so I got excited about that. Sadly, the salad never happened (service felt a bit rushed) and we moved right into Rockefeller oysters which the server also recommended. Sadly, the taste of oyster itself was lost under this giant glob of baked cheese and the spinach under was runny. My partner and I both were trying to describe the taste, and said "Pizza!" at the same time. It was pretty funny, but honestly, I don't think an oyster should ever remind you of a cheese pizza. Next, the scallops: As you can see the sear could have been more gentle and way more even. They were served on the cold side, not nearly hot as I would have liked them. Not sure if it's the type of scallop or the cook on it, but it was more chewy and rubbery than soft. The lamb on the other hand was cooked better and had more seasoning/ a nice crust but the side of Jello served with the entree threw me off. Maybe i'm missing something lol. Desert was fine. Finally, the tables were so close together it was difficult to go to and from the bathroom. The tables are so close and servers are bustling around with giant trays, I feel less tables across the dinning room would make for a more refined, upscale experience without being pressed up against neighboring patrons. Also staff should not use the dinning room exit to go on breaks because it was blowing cold air in throughout the service. Ultimately, I think this spot is a local/historical sensation with a social reputation. It is a place to socialize, to see and be seen, it carries an air of 1950's upper middle class nostalgia. The food certainly has more of an old country club vibe to it. We enjoyed our date night nonetheless, as I do love quirky/vintage gems, but I think the food needs to be much more elevated.

This place used to be the place to be for vibe and great steaks. Sadly their quality has declined over the years and their steaks are mediocre at best. We had the bone in ribeye and it was not worth the high cost. Dry no marbling and salty. Staff is friendly and kind.

This place had a good run. The nostalgia isn’t enough to keep me coming back. Quality of meat they serve has significantly declined. I hear their meat is flown in from Chicago. That means nothing. Tons of poor products are flown from all over the world, daily.
