Mmmmmm....1418 is chock full of atmospheric coffee house vibes! Have been here before. Today, had an affogato (espresso over vanilla ice cream). This was the best I've ever had! The espresso was to die for! 10/10🥳🥳🥳 1418 is always busy...a good thing! I arrived early and by the time my guest arrived, we had a great table! Bakery goods are on point too! If you want that true coffee house experience, 1418 is where you want to be in Plano!

Superb little coffee shop with a buzzy ambiance, young families, students, and singles. Staff are friendly and pastries are delicious. Cookies are so well baked, perfect when warmed and the cinnamon buns are fantastic as well

One of my absolute favorites. Cortados and Cappuccinos are a must try. They roast their beans in house, and you know what that means. They have a decent number of food options. Breakfast tacos are yum! The staff is always with a positive attitude 🥰 Love going here and working or just hanging out.

I was in town for business in April 2025 and stopped here for a quick meet/greet. I loved the location and the charm it exuded. It is set up nicely with ample seating, but be mindful, it does get crowded. Lots of remote types hanging and working and a few students trying to get in their learning. The atmosphere was just right. The cafe choices of drinks and food equally good and the service was impeccable. Great staff and extremely helpful. Definitely a place to check out in Plano.

Lot of nice comfy chairs and couches unlike a lot of newer place with uncomfortable chairs. Ordered a Cartado and they served with Seltzer water to cleanse your palate Great friendly service and the Cartado was very smooth

I had flat white and really enjoyed their coffee. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Atmosphere is interesting, I sat at a couch close to the window area so it was bright, but some parts of the place are really dark and depressing. There are many couches but majority of them were occupied with people laying casually as if it is their home. On one side it is nice that peole feel at home but on the orher side it doesn’t feel like a cafe place. Anyways, Plano historic downtown area is a lovely area and if you happen to be there and want a coffee break this place is it.

The drinks were really good, but it was quite crowded inside and a little overwhelming for me. Thankfully, the wait was still fairly short. With no open seating and the weather too chilly and windy to sit outside, we decided to take our drinks to go. We enjoyed the seasonal coffee and matcha, but this isn’t really the vibe I look for in a café, so I can’t say for certain that I’d return. It was very noisy—my autistic son wore headphones. UPDATE: I appreciate the response! 🙂 Just to clarify, the cashier did not mention the additional seating. When he asked if we wanted drinks "for here or to go," I said we wanted to sit for a minute to plan our next stop, but we didn’t see any seats. He just said, “Yeah, we’re pretty busy,” without mentioning the extra seating. I gave 4 stars. Good drinks, just not exactly my vibe, but I’m not knocking the place. Also, I’m aware of the parking options—I noted both free street parking and the free garage in my original review. Thank you again for responding!

I really love the atmosphere here. It is definitely a coffee house, with old school " I have been here in this city a long time" vibes. Service is always friendly, even when they are packed. The coffee is of good quality, and they offer a variety of drinks to choose from. The staff is always willing to custom-make an order.

I found the coffee and treats to be really enjoyable. The taste was definitely a highlight. They had a great selection of both hot and cold coffees, which I appreciated. In particular, the "Beez Kneez" latte was delicious! And I have to say, the serving staff was very nice, really friendly and helpful. However, I was disappointed by the seating. It looked worn out and wasn't very comfortable, which made it a little less enjoyable to sit and relax. That's why I gave it three stars. While I loved the drinks, snacks, and the friendly staff, the seating situation brought down the overall experience for me.

A cute local coffee shop with their own line of roasted beans to purchase. House made sandwiches and fresh pastries and entire pies are available as well. Pastry selection on the evening I went included scones, mini crostatas, muffins, cinnamon rolls, cookies and parfaits. Behind the counter they had a nice display of several loose teas they have to offer. I ordered their cold brew and I think it was well balanced and not too acidic. The evening I visited, their shop was packed full of customers enjoying their beverage and overall vibe of the area. Noise level was moderately high but still made for a pleasant experience. Because it was so busy inside there didn’t leave any room for me or my partner to do computer work so we decided to sit outside which was still enjoyable although outlets are unavailable.

I really wanted to enjoy this place and while there’s nothing inherently wrong, I did not find the coffee to be good at all. They had lots of options for the coffee and other drinks, so hopefully another experience will be different here. The coffee shop itself is cute and in a nice area but the seating situation was dismal. Get there early, or you won’t have a seat. It was a sea of people on laptops lounging all day… I may give this place another shot later, but was disappointed with the drinks and seating selection. However, the staff was friendly enough.
