Uncle Zhou was a great experience, I went with my family last Saturday, we celebrated my son's birthday there. The food was amazing, very tasteful and it was real Chinese food, I recommend the pork belly that was INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS, the spare ribs VERY TASTY and the dumplings...YUMMY. Uncle Zhou restaurant doesn't only have delicious food but a wonderful customer service, since the moment we entered the restaurant until we left, we felt welcome and the environment was very nice, everyone was smiling and the people there are very kind. We loved that Uncle Zhou, the chef and owner himself greet us and we had pictures with him, specially the birthday boy. Thanks Uncle Zhou for offering a great customer service and such a delicious food...CONGRATULATIONS!!!

The garlic eggplant was silky and deeply savory with just the right amount of sauce. Spicy crispy chicken was perfectly fried and insanely fragrant with dried chilies — super addictive. The spicy-sour shredded potatoes were crisp, bright, and refreshing, cutting through the richness. Roasted braised chicken was tender, well-seasoned, and full of depth. Bold flavors, great balance, and very authentic. Would happily order these again.

This place was great! Very authentic Chinese food, and the flavors were amazing. The service was wonderful from the staff and would definitely recommend this restaurant. The pricing was very reasonable and the location is very well cleaned. The environment is very nice as well.

omg a total gem. many of the other reviews rave about the noodles. i got the h1 which is noodles only with some veggies and oil. hint mix the noodles with the oil in the bottom of the bowl occasionally as it collects there. i also got the chinese hamburger with pork and it was good too. i cant wait to try more dishes

We have been wanting to visit this place from a very long time as we have heard/read/seen a lot of positive reviews about this place. We finally managed to be there this time on my wife’s birthday and have to say they really stood upon their reviews. Both of us are very big fans of Chinese cuisine. Firstly, their chilly oil is their signature and is really excellent with the perfect kick of flavor on your palette. Their speciality - the hand drawn wide noodles were very delicious and flavorful too. This place was comparatively much more affordable. Their dumpling and wontons were good. Another item of special mention would be their dipping sauce for their spring roll. Overall nice ambience, smooth service and a very positive experience. I would love to be back here soon. However, the distance from my home makes it a bit challenging for me to visit here every week.

I tried the tofu and Shanghai cabbage soup it’s completely vegetarian and delicious. They also have big vegetable menu which is very beneficial for vegetarian and vegan options as well.

Good food at a reasonable price and super quick & attentive staff. It’s hard to find Chinese restaurants in Dallas that have reasonably authentic dishes, but this one has some good choices. I recommend trying things off the House Specials menu. The hand pulled noodles are also quite good.

A getaway trip to Dallas and decided to try this highly recommended hand pulled noodles. We ordered Lamb and Beef hand pulled noodle and the texture is very good, the broth used is the same as the protein. Broth is healthy and good as they are not heavily salted. Good for health concerned individuals. Condiments are provided on table as well. The server is prompt, polite and attentive. The manager Yan Ting is very sweet, knowing we be driving back and give us some candy to eat along our way back. A restaurant that cares for their customers. Hard to come by and we will visit again to get their Henan Tradition and Award winning dishes.

Not having actually been to China, this place seems as if it is the real thing when it comes to authentic Hunan Chinese cuisine. The pulled noodles were a perfect consistency, served with small scissors, steaming hot and perfectly proportioned with bean spouts and vegetables. The dumplings were simple but perfectly steamed seasoned. My wife ordered the Orange Chicken and was not disappointed. Prices were reasonable and portions were good. The setting was basic, but fitting with the price and open kitchen layout of the restaurant. Certainly worth a try. The hand-pulled noodles are a must!

8 of us came for lunch. Their POS system are down, they have to taking order by hand written orders and check. All three waitress are super busy and very minimal service provided. But we fully understand their difficulties and help ourselves with like water and eating utensils . All the items we ordered were very good, very tasty. We highly recommend the hand pull noodles, even now is made by a well trained Mexican lady! And many kitchen staff also Hispanic personnel!, and they are doing a wonderful job. Highly recommended!

I wanted to try the hand drawn noodles and the ratings look promising. Food was actually pretty good. We ordered the beef hand drawn noodles, land hand drawn noodles, the dial oil hand drawn noodles, scallion pancakes and pan fried dumplings. It's a pretty big portion. Place was pretty big. Great for small or large parties and service was good. Servers were attentive and food came out pretty fast. I'd come back and try some more. Menus was pretty big. Till then, let's eat!!!

This Chinese restaurant is truly exceptional. The food is authentic, and everything we tried exceeded expectations. The crispy chicken was perfectly cooked—juicy and flavorful, never dry. The soups were rich and satisfying, and the house specials were simply outstanding. The staff are warm and welcoming, adding to the enjoyable dining experience. With high-quality Chinese cuisine and excellent service, this is a place I would gladly return to again and again.

March 2025 Good authentic Chinese lunch special. Good stew selections with rich flavor and tender meat. Since most selections are meaty fishes, will be a nice addition to steam some broccoli or veggies to complement the meat. Attention to detail speak volumes.

Place was pretty good! Loved the cummin fish fillers. The pork belly was a good dish too followed with the tendon noodle soup but the service was great, can't complain really. Maybe a suggestion for the servers, fill up with customers drinks and be proactive about it rather than wait for them to ask. Definitely recommend trying the place though.

We got the noodles and the scallion pancake. I wished the scallion pancake was fluffier. It was still good. The noodles were good, but I wished they provided adult scissors. It also had a little too much vinegar.

This is a great restaurant to try authentic hand drawn noodles, which I would advise over the typical Cantonese-Chinese American dishes that most people would expect at a Chinese restaurant. Their broths are hearty and delicious, and the noodles are very thick and chewy. I don't prefer my noodles like that, but I can recognize that they are very good anyways. I had the Lamb Hand-Drawn Wide Noodles and have to warn that the Lamb flavor is very strong, which I don't think is bad but is worth noting. We saw that there were a wide assortment of Sichuan dishes on the menu and so ordered the Fish Fillet in Fresh Hot Pepper Sauce and Dry Stir-Fry String Bean, two signature Sichuan dishes. Unfortunately, the fish was underwhelming in terms of flavor. And the green beans had great flavor but weren't crunchy at all.

We come to the restaurant for the first time today around 6:30p and wait little bit over 20 minutes for the table. The line is long but they handled it very well. We ordered scallion pancake for the appetizer, and the beef wide noodles/double cooked pork for main dishes. Pros: Servers are nice and friendly. I really like the Double Cooked pork. Little fatty since they use thin Pork Belly, but it’s flavorful. The dish itself has small meat portions and filled up with all the bell peppers. But the Beef Wide Noodle portion is pretty good. Cons: Service is average at best. The servers are nice and friendly, but they are lack of attentiveness. They sit us down, take the orders, bring the food to the table. Thats it. Food never was checked to see if the customer satisfied, water was never got refilled. I ordered Pan Cake for appetizer, but they brought main dishes first. I tried to eat slow for waiting for the pancake, but it never comes. And no one comes to our table to check on the food. I need to wave them to the table to ask for the misising Pan Cake. They apologized and went to check. By the time they ‘re back with it, im already done with my meal. While i was impressed with the Double Cooked Pork, their popular noodle dish didn’t meet my expectation. It was little too “firm” for me. Not sure if it was like that, or they were busy and the noodle undercooked. Overall, I may give it a try another time too see if the service improves, or their dish is just a miss this time

Mixed feeling about my take out order from here. This was my first time trying the restaurant and I got the hand pulled noodles H1 and a basil chicken. The noodles were all in one big lump when I opened the container at home and wouldn’t come apart and honestly a bit bland for my tastes. The bas chicken wasn’t what I was hoping for. It didn’t have a strong basil flavor and had some generic brown sauce with a bunch of veggies. I was hoping it was more like Genroku’s famous basil chicken. Fried, sizzling hot and no extra veggies but I guess this is a different type of Chinese cuisine. Might try it again but would order something different

Visited this place and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. We ordered chicken noodles and veggie spring rolls. The noodles were burnt, overloaded with soy sauce, and tasted awful. There were barely any toppings—only about six tiny pieces of chicken in the entire dish. The veggie spring rolls were served ice cold, and the dipping sauce was completely tasteless. After finishing our meal, I politely informed our server that we didn’t enjoy the food. Her response was shocking—she said we should have complained while eating instead of mentioning it while leaving. Things got worse when we didn’t tip; she threw a tantrum, which made the experience extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant. Overall, I did not like this place at all. There are far better Chinese restaurants out there with superior food, service, and ambience. I would not recommend spending your time or money here.

Disappointing Experience at Uncle Zhou Uncle Zhou was a letdown from start to finish. We didn’t enjoy a single dish they served us. Despite all the hype and claims of New York accolades, this is definitely not Michelin-level dining. The crab rangoons were overloaded with cream cheese and had a strange sour aftertaste. The braised beef came out ice cold—not lukewarm, but straight-up cold. The pork and chive dumplings? No dipping sauce. When we asked for some, the staff told us to mix our own at the table using vinegar and chili oil. That’s not the experience we expected. The noodles with pork—those hand-pulled, wide noodles you see all over social media—were honestly disgusting, according to my wife. I tried them too, and she wasn’t wrong. They literally tasted like someone dipped noodles in tea. Completely bland. The sesame chicken started off fine, but then I bit into a piece that tasted like fish. Not exactly what you want from chicken. Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but when every single dish has an issue, it’s hard to chalk it up to bad luck. The viral videos might make this place look special, but our experience definitely didn’t match the hype. $77.82 wasted as we are literally getting up to go eat somewhere else. 90% of the food was not eaten and the staff knew we were not happy with the food. Please google maps please don’t let me accidentally try to eat here again.
