Drove up with my daughter, who lives in LONG BEACH 🏖️, and met my parents (and their friends who live in REDONDO ⛱️ Beach) and Very Much Enjoyed the food, and the whole experience at ur Place! It was a celebration of two birthdays, and a Good Time was had by All ! The Daughter who lives in LONG BEACH ⛱️, will definitely be back SOON, with her Boyfriend 🤩! One of our favorite places to go for a nice local dinner. This place is spectacular! We make it a point to come here fairly often. Service is great, food is amazing, and the location is very nice. Definitely come have a meal here and you will enjoy yourself! I always forget to take pictures of the nice setup and great dishes. Be I did take a picture of our wine.

This is a very traditional Italian restaurant, a great find! My mother was from Florence and I've been to Italy many times. I ordered the minestrone soup to start. I was in Italy last December and I couldn't believe that the soup looked and tasted just like one I had in Italy! The photos attached are evidence this is an authentic restaurant. Great Pollo Parmigiana with veggies and roasted potatoes, again just like in Italy. Excellent service too. I know I'll be back!

Some of the best authentic Italian food I've had in the states. Casual atmosphere, dimly lit , but very comfortable. They're marinara was absolutely delicious!

If you are looking for authentic Italian food and warm inviting service, visit Caffe Pinguini. We were in the area and got a last minute reservation and glad we did! Our homemade pasta dishes were great and the gelato dessert a perfect complement to our dinner.

Café Pinguini was such a pleasant surprise! They actually had thoughtful vegan options after modifications, and our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu even helping me navigate what could be modified to fit my needs. I ended up with a penne arrabbiata with veggies, and it was out of this world in flavor perfectly balanced spice and freshness. The atmosphere was cozy, dimly lit and inviting, with a lovely wine list that made it an ideal spot for a dinner date. Overall, a great experience delicious food, attentive service, and an ambiance that makes you want to linger just a little longer.

Great Italian food, awesome, friendly service staff, great atmosphere. Eat indoors or on the outdoor patio. Very close to the beach. I don't know what it's called, but the serve a hollowed of frozen lemon filled with lemon gelato/ sorbet as dessert,omg!! Best dessert ever. All the dishes we ordered were great. I had fettuccine with meat sauce. 2 in group were raving about the fish,said it was the best ever.

Delicious authentic Italian food. We enjoyed everything from the appetizers to the entrees, and the desserts as well. The service was fantastic, our server was very attentive. It was our first time here, and I am glad that we found Caffe Pinguini. We'll be back!

Chef prepared special ravioli in pink sauce for us without any meat sauce and it was delicious 🤤 Went with my mom and we love Italian but vegetarian, so ended up getting the cheese ravioli along with pizza! Delicious! Will go back again when traveling that way!

I had a reservation and was seating immediately. The place was very crowded, cramped, and loud though. I ordered the Vodka Pasta, and it tasted very good (nothing special though.) I also ordered the Caesar Salad and it was the best one I’ve tasted in my life. For dessert I had the Pineapple Sorbetto and it did not disappoint. The food tasted very fresh and authentic. I would go back.

This time I had the Veal Chop it was excellent as was the pesto. My wife had the Ravioli w/osso buco. Delicious. Staff excellent and great service. Ambiance casual but romantic. Outside seating allows behaved dogs (we brought ours) If you ever have a chance I highly recommend.

I love the vintage look and design. So aesthetically pleasing. And the food is absolutely yummy.

Over all the service was great, the staff was attentive & friendly but Unfortunately the food was not worth what we paid. The noodles were quite chewy, slightly under cooked even, tossed in a dried tomato paste like "sauce" with no garnish or "fresh ingredient" taste. We ordered two types of soups of which both tasted of the same broth, definitely not of fresh chicken broth but of generic carton grocery store broth. I would however recommend the pizza with peppers, mushrooms & sausage and a salad which actually tasted house-made fresh to order. Wine selection was great but the dessert could have been better for the price.

Had very high hopes but we were sadly disappointed several times in one visit. We were seated right away with our reservation, but the outside table was in kind of a shed area which was dark and very loud with the table next to us. I could hear their whole conversation about gunshot wounds. That’s an odd dinner conversation. We had our drink order taken in about 10 minutes. We asked for 2 glasses of the Pinot Noir but were served 2 glasses of a Zinfandel. No one around to ask for the correct wine. Another 10 plus minutes we were asked what starter we’d like which did arrive pretty quickly, but after that it was 20 minutes plus hoping someone would take our menus and dinner order. We both ordered pasta dishes eventually. Sad to report the pasta in both orders were not el dente. A huge disappointment in flavor and texture. Even though we were celebrating an 80th birthday we couldn’t wait to get the bill and get out of there. Our water had the whole outside area to himself. I think all the 5 star reviews are from long time locals who are just used to mediocre food and service. Sadly we won’t be giving them a second chance.
