Avis sur Tanner's Playa Del Rey
This is a cozy & pretty coffee shop located on a small, steep, winding street. But the owners offer free 1-hour parking off the main street. The food [hot mocha and jalapeño bagel with cream cheese] was hot & delicious. The service was gracious and friendly. I will visit this business again!
Great coffee shop, cheap smoothies
Chill vibes, delicious coffee, awesome place to sit with friends. Comfy, sunken armchairs and leather sofas make it good for relaxing; working is ok, but why work when you’re in such an awesome place?! Raspberry chai latte was hot and delicious. So many sweets and foods!
Tanners feels like an instant favorite local coffee shop. They have a great selection of drinks and food that pair well with an eccentric interior bursting with art and an odd collection of furniture. Comfy and cozy, though the couch will most certainly eat you. Be aware there are so many cute dogs coming through you will want to pet them ALL. Coffee is served in paper cups so you can take it to go and hit the beach!
This is a welcoming coffee joint, i admit at first i thought the prices were a bit up there... but trust me the quality of the coffee and treats have far exceeded expectations conpared to its competitors. This place would give starbucks a run for their money if they went corporate. Sometimes though its best for mom and pop businesses to stay just the way they are. Anytime im in the del ray Area i will always stop here for a coffee. Flawless decor friendly staff customer service and cleanliness perfecto.
Great atmosphere. Fast service. A very cozy cafe. We ordered the rise and shine bagel. It was delicious. Great cafe!
I had not had a good mocha in LA until I came here. The coffee was good too and the orange cranberry scone was great. The actual food menu looked good and the place just overall has a great vibe.
Unique place, you will love it, try egg salad , it’s delicious, it will make you to come back , easy parking , many options !!! Thank you guys :)
Stopped in as I was traveling through. It was a Saturday and they were pretty busy but the service was pretty good and the coffee was great. Nice atmosphere.

This is the best coffee shop ever, the atmosphere is always good vibes, they have amazing food and drinks I highly recommend this place!!! they have the Best Alfajores de Maizena ever!! With Uruguayan dulce de leche! And the team work is great 😀
I loved everything about Tanner’s. I live a few blocks away and can’t believe I haven’t come here sooner. The sweet cold foam cold brew was delicious, the staff were really friendly, and the shop itself was incredibly cute. From the surf board to the historical photos to the crosses, I was overjoyed with my entire experience. I will be back soon!

Stopped by for breakfast the other day and had a ham, egg, and cheese on a croissant which was pretty good! The latte was also great and they have a small selection of additional pastries. A great spot just to pick up a quick bite or chill and do some work - also close to the beach!
Service was welcoming and kind. açaí smoothie tasted good but was a little thin, I think too much apple juice. I also had the egg salad sandwich which was perfectly toasted, egg salad had a great seasoning but was a little messy to eat, I will take more napkins next time 😉
Laidback coffee shop in Playa that’s good for a post-surf sesh. Came here on a Saturday morning around 9:30am and there was a short line, but it moved quickly. Indoor/outdoor seating is available. There’s a parking lot on the side with paid parking, but if you’re there for a quick stop, there is a row of spots for ~20 min free parking. Credit cards accepted. I got a hot matcha latte with oat milk and it was a bit weak, but luckily not too sweet. The cashier seemed a bit distracted so I needed to repeat my order. They do have food available (I.e, bagels, pastries, etc) as well as smoothies. The acai one is thick and well-blended. Overall, it’s a relatively quick in-and-out local spot.
Recommend this nice local coffee shop with courteous service and good prices. Locals and travelers alike congregate here for sustenance, coffee and conversation. Interior displays historical photos of the area which is cool. Choices of food widely range to try and satisfy different diets.

Chill cafe, nothing particularly special. The food and drinks were okay. The matcha latte was very milky and didn’t have a lot of flavor– especially if you’re particular about your matcha. The Peanut Butter Mocha latte was also very milky and had very little peanut butter flavoring that I even forgot I ordered with it! The food was also mediocre. The lox lacked flavor and the bagel sandwich just tasted like bread and veggies separate but together. Limited seating all around, and street parking isn’t so difficult to find.
Stopping by for grabbing my to-go afternoon coffee and Tanner's coffee came up as highly rated one on Google map. I could see the place was pretty busy with people hanging out, working, as well as playing board games on Sunday afternoon. Plenty of street parking around were available. The venue was okay-ish, though probably more like neighborhood coffee vibe than recently hyped aesthetic ones. The barista was so nice and friendly, which was probably my highlight from this place. The Caramel Latte I went for was okay, but wouldn't call it stand out. They did have multiple non-dairy substitutes available and some munchies to grab with your drinks.

Really good coffee but unfortunately not a great environment to sit and work, the music is so loud, no public bathroom, and the seating isnt great
I don't frequent this Tanners. I did want to pick up a cup of coffee Friday, 1-9-26, shortly after 6 a. m. This site shows hours open at 6 a. m. The sign on the door shows open at 6:30 a. m. Please update online hours. I guess I will still not patronize this business.

Tried 3 times recently. First time I stood there forever without the two people acknowledging me and then my latte was not very hot. Second time my daughter got the big chocolate chip cookie but then bit into nuts. We both wished were warned since we hate nuts. And it was refrigerated so when I attempted to eat around the nuts later the outside was soggy. 3rd time we grabbed a coffee cake that looked so good. My daughter bit into it and spit it out. Just not good. I will probably throw it away rather than eat it. It just tastes bad.

I shouldn’t have to say “excuse me” four times to be acknowledged.” These employees three feet away from me deliberately kept their backs turned and pretended not to hear me. I don’t care if I don’t look like your typical clientele, I expect to be treated like a human being and not a nuisance. There was one employee in particular, a younger woman...I haven't felt that type of palpable hostility for a long time. It was very egregious and really caused a disruption to the rest of my day. The gentleman in front of me watched her treat me differently than him and literally came up to me to say a couple of kind words. It was that recognizably tense that this person did not want to make me feel welcome in this place. My $20 Lox bagel was also simultaneously too salty and not flavorful. On top of being placed in the direct area where customer after customer goes to order, no napkin, no nothing, just sitting there haphazardly in a to-go container. Not even called out. I had to go up and ask if it was mine. "yeah" I receive in response. With a flat, slightly disdainful look. Then I wanted to go use the bathroom. It's in the back behind the employee counter, so I wanted to ask if it was okay first. After all, I was already being treated with such hostility and disdain. "excuse me." The employees backs remain turned. "excuse me." They start talking slightly louder to each other, I don't know if they just thought I'd go away??? Finally the fourth time, I declare "Excuse me." They turn around all huffy. "I'd like to use your bathroom." I say. "okay" this same hostile young woman says--in that sort of tone "okay, calm down, you can have your binky" type of "okay." It was honestly a really dark-energy kind of experience and I just hate this town so bad with the way they discriminate and humiliate people and treat them like they're subhuman over and over again. In times like this, no less. Just a disgrace. And I don't think you should eat food prepared by mean-spirited people.
