So fun and beautiful! The food and atmosphere was perfect for a special occasion with friends. Very comfortable seating, lots of options for meat eaters and the vegetarian/vegans in our group. We both ordered different dishes with shrimp and enjoyed them. The belly dancing was fun and we all got to dance and be involved as much as we wanted. I recommend that you make a reservation for dinner and check when the belly dancer will perform. We brought some cash to tip the dancer. She was amazing! If you don't make a reservation, you can walk in and there is a bar where I also saw people eating.

Went here for dinner on a weekday evening. The food is authentic and the ambience is amazing. Definitely recommend it if you are in the area and are looking for middle eastern food.

The waiter Billy was very attentive. The owner came out and swung our drunk around for us (so fun!) and the belly dancer invited me up to the stage with her for a bit as well. Really delicious food, great service, and a cozy atmosphere.

We were visiting family in California and they took us to this restaurant. We really had a great time. The owner is very pleasant and welcoming. The food was great. And of course we enjoyed the music and the belly dancer. It was so fun! The belly dancer gives the girls a chance to learn some moves and actually dance with her, then a chance for the guys as well. Overall, a wonderful experience! Totally recommend.

This place is a hidden gem. Went to go to a close by place for brunch and there was a looooong wait. So we saw this place and stopped in. Brunch is new for them but they have been around forever, per our server. The atmosphere is off the hook amazing. Food was great. Coffee was amazing. Staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Can't wait to go again

We celebrated my son's 23rd birthday, and the food and entertainment is excellent. We tried many of their dishes and really loved it. From their appetizers, main entrees, and their desserts are really good. The owner and the servers really catered towards their customers. The entertainment is really great where all of us took part. The atmosphere is overall great. I highly recommend this restaurant for those who are adventurous and want to eat Mediterranean cuisine with a taste of the entertainment and hospitality Expect to pay $30 per person, but really worth the price for it. Great time to eat dinner, when there is a show during the evenings. Expect to spend at least 2 hours there dinner and show..Awesome!

Excellent food, ambiance, and service. Best dolma I ever had! And the chicken was juicy and flavorful. Our pita and water were refilled before we noticed they were empty. There’s something special about the experience too. For example, they sprinkled orange blossom on our hands after our meal. Definitely coming back!

The food was fantastic, although I personally felt it could have used a tiny bit more salt. But that is just my palate. The ambience was great and the service was stellar. The absolute best was the floor show featuring two award-winning belly dancers. This is an experience to be shared, so go in a group.

Such good food!! The meat feel right off the bone and everything was spiced just right. If you like Moroccan food, definitely go to this place! The belly dancer was a lot of fun too! The staff were all very attentive and made sure we enjoyed our meal. We will be back soon!!

This is my first time experiencing Middle Eastern food in this kind of setting. The food was good, I ordered the chicken kabobs, and they have a small but full bar. The live entertainment started at approximately 7 or 8 p.m., and it really livened up the place. I would recommend this as it is family friendly.

Great healthy food! Some Restuarants put too salt in the food at El Morocco the food was not salty I will eat there often. Excellent staff! The acoustics are awesome carpeted ceilings and walls illuminate any echo whatsoever making for great sounding live music and voices don’t carry as far.

Great environment for friends and family to have a great time. The food is good, not great, but the experience is really what makes this place. They have a great show with multiple belly dancers (1 at a time) over the course of the meal. This is not a place to grab a quick bite, the best way to enjoy this place is to set up shop for a couple hours and relax and enjoy the show!

I order delivery yesterday and I do have to say I am totally 120 percent impressed. They arrived on time, if not a few minutes early, and the food was very still hot to the point where we had to blow on it before eating. I ordered 2 couscous lamb plates and 1 eggplant lamb plate. The meat was flavorful and tender. The veggies cooked right. And the lentil soup was so delicious. OMG! Let me say the bread to was fresh and warm, and the pastry; fine thin filo dough filled with walnuts and a hint of cinnamon, sprinkled with powder sugar. It's lite on your tummy. Not sweet like baklava at all. I have had morrocan food in the past but not this tasty and flavorful. The next experience enjoying our food will be inside the restaurant. Thank you El Morrocco! 🤗👍

There is no where like this place!! One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The ambience is amazing! The entire place is stunning visually, especially the seating. This weekend, we had the absolute pleasure of dining at El Morocco for their weekend brunch, and I can confidently say it was the best brunch I’ve ever had. The service was flawless, the food was pure perfection, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I’m notoriously picky, especially with egg dishes, but every bite was bursting with flavor and flawlessly prepared. They excel in everything from sweet to savory, with a menu so thoughtfully crafted it’s a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. I tried both their coffees, which were rich, aromatic, and perfectly brewed, and they were absolutely fantastic. The place itself is gorgeous. It is beautifully decorated with stunning Middle Eastern carpets, lanterns, and cozy seating, making it a very charming and comfortable setting to sit and enjoy a meal. On top of the amazing brunch, they also serve traditional Middle Eastern dishes and offer a wonderful dinner menu every day, which I can’t wait to explore further. If you are not into belly dancers, no worries. They do not have them every night, so you can call ahead when making a reservation to confirm. After this visit, I am already planning to become a regular at El Morocco. It is an unforgettable dining experience that I highly recommend to anyone!

This place was a pleasant surprise in Concord. It was morrocon vibe in bay area minus the hookah. Food tasted excellent. Great tea. I went on a Saturday and there was a belly dance show. We absolutely enjoyed our time. It was a wholesome experience. The service was slow- but it was acceptable. As a vegetarian, I had decent options. Would definitely visit again!

We took my dad here for his 85th birthday and had a fantastic time. Everyone else has already reviewed the beautiful decor. And we thought the food was delicious! The show was great and the belly dancer was really sweet, posing for a photo with my dad, who due to balance issues couldn't go up and dance with her. But what makes this restaurant exceptional is the service. Conor, the server was AMAZING! From the minute we walked in, he took care of everything. He gave us the perfect table with a place for my dad's walker, he took our diabetic cupcakes to the fridge (and later brought them out on a platter with a candle), he found a temporary vase for the flowers we gave our mom for Mother's Day, he did an incredible trick with the mocktail, and checked on us constantly. A super nice guy. And the owner was so awesome! He went above and beyond and even bought balloons for my dad in advance. I loved this restaurant and we can't wait to go back and try brunch!

We came for the new Brunch and we're delighted with our choice! The Turkish coffee was excellent, the food delicious, and the staff were welcoming and fun. I loved the eggs poached in shakshuka, the omelet with hash browns was great for a GF choice, and both the sweet and the savory crepes were hits. I think next time we'll come for dinner, music and belly dancing! If you want to feel like you're in another world for a little while, this is the place!

Such an amazing experience!!!! All the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They definitely made us feel like family. I had my two 5 year old's with me and everyone was patient with them. The dancer made sure to spend extra time with them and really made them feel special. The server/bartender made my daughter a special (non-alcoholic) drink when she got a bit overwhelmed. I can't give this place a better review! exceeded all expectations and we will be sure to make this a regular for our family events. We went out for mothers day and had the best time. Thank you Thank you Thank you

We have lived in the area for years and never stopped in but we finally did and I was blown away. We came in on a whim right when they opened at 5:30pm so we had the entire place to ourselves. We got the Lebanese Pilsner and Moroccan lager for drinks, hummus and pita bread, dolmas, and falafel to start. We split an entree of the couscous royal and finished with baklava and mint tea. Everything was beyond our expectations and the portions were generous. The owner was kind took time to explain the menu and chat with us about the restaurant. We will definitely be back to try their 6 course meal, watch the Belly dancing shows, and drinks at the full bar on Thursdays through Sundays!

Wonderful experience indeed. Ambience is brilliant, with music playing on the background, Belly Dancing where customers are encouraged to join in. Seating is community style, very comfortable and every group gets a big plate which substitutes for a table. Kids are free to run around and not constrained to child seats. Food is brilliant and unique. Every dish touched different areas of the senses. Dinner is $32 per adult. Do remember to take cash to tip the dancers. The whole experience is worth every dollar.

We dropped in for brunch. The atmosphere is really nice, a sit-down-on-floor sort of place. They have huge savory crepes and breakfast burritos, very tasty. The hash browns are unusual, both moist and crispy, sort of like onion rings. The coffee is very good, but the mimosas taste of the lower-shelf champagne- not terrible, but a bit sub-standard. It's a great experience overall.

Hidden gem! Finding a place like this in the East Bay is such a treat, I'm so glad we stumbled upon it. This restaurant is such a vibe - in the best possible way. The decor is absolutely beautiful, the service is exceptional, and the food is mouthwatering. I highly recommend the honey chicken and bastilla, they were both incredible. You can tell it's a family-run business, and it truly shows. There's so much love poured into the ambiance, the food, and the way they treat their guests. They also offer brunch, which I’ll definitely be back to try. Do yourself a favor and check it out - you won’t be disappointed!

We found this place since the other breakfast place we wanted to go to had a 2 hour wait. I was glad we were able to get a table here. The owner was very welcoming and gave us great suggestions on what to order. There were 3 of us and we were quite hungry. Their coffee was very delicious and made to order. It didn’t need much milk or sugar and was not too bitter which was nice. Moroccans really make good coffee. We ordered a crepe with berries and whipped cream. The crepe was well cooked and the berries and whipped cream paired nicely together. The Bastilla was a phyllo dough stuffed with ground chicken, scrambled eggs, almonds and then topped with powdered sugar. It was crispy and a different texture all together. If I were to order again I would get without the powdered sugar. The Shakshuka was the best. I could’ve ordered a few orders of that. They serve it with some flat bread you use to pick it up and with the egg on top it made it extra delicious. It was a good mix of vegetables and tomatoes and spices and it just all melded well together. Glad we found this place and hope to stop by for dinner and to watch the belly dancer next time we are in town.

Fun experience! I went for my 40th bday many years ago and again recently because a friend of mine brought me as a belated bday dinner. We went on a Sunday night and it wasn't packed. We ordered the dinner for two option and it was a lot of food!! She had the honey lamb and I had the honey chicken. Seems mine was better as she kept finding bones in the dim lighting setting so she stopped eating it. A little disappointed we had to ask for new pita as the first set was hard and chewy when the hummus came out. Service was great though and everyone there had a kind and fun vibe! My friend wasn't happy they added their own gratuity for two people though. Maybe it listed in their menu and maybe she didn't see it nor did I. I've heard of doing that for larger parties but never two people. Overall, great bday spot!! Belly dancer was fun! And we had a great time along with the other parties eating there dancing on stage with the belly dancer.

Fun concept, but the waiter shouldn't be working in the service industry. He forgot about a nut allergy despite being reminded twice. Then he wanted to scrape off the nuts which isn't safe. Then he forgot part of our order and didn't notice us trying to flag him down so we never got it. Then he insulted the belly dancer and made a sexual comment about the other dancers. Just not professional or acceptable. Food was okay but kind of dry despite being in a sauce.

I went to this restaurant for the first time and I was very disappointed with food. There were only 4 tables on a Saturday night. At the end by 9 pm we were the only 2 people left. Its cozy and beautiful place but unfortunately the food was very very bad. I ordered prawn kabob and it had no taste at all and not even cook properly and it smelled. My husband ordered lamb chops and he had to fight taking bite and it had no taste at all. The vegetables were boiled and literally placed in the plate next to rice and rice was mixed with vegetables juice. I had been to so many restaurants and I had not good food but this was in a different level bad food. 2 people we spent $140 and it was a waste of money. I would suggest whoever the owner is to focus on food bc the place itself is beautiful and belly dancing will attract more customers but unfortunately now I know why restaurant was empty on a Saturday night.

Horrible food. As a vegetarian I suffered through the dinner I ordered here, and paid a 100$ for food I basically couldn't eat. Overpriced and really awful , no flavor/taste,l. The falafels were not cooked well and we had to send it back. 1 star is for the belly dancer who was very talented and created a wonderful ambience.

I really wanted to enjoy this place, but the experience was very disappointing. The food was bland and overpriced. It took forever for each dish to come out, and when the entrées finally arrived, they were so lacking in flavor that we couldn't even finish them. The soda was flat, and even the mint lemonade wasn't good. The service didn't help either the waiters were not friendly and seemed indifferent to our concerns. When the bill came, they still tried to charge us for the full amount, even though we didn't eat the entrée because of the poor quality. The only highlight of the evening was the belly dancers, who were talented and entertaining. Unfortunately, the food and service overshadowed everything else.

I booked two tickets for a belly dance event and arrived on time, only to find out the performance had been canceled with no prior notice. No one informed us—we had to ask ourselves after waiting more than 20 minutes past the scheduled show time. Had we known in advance, I would not have ordered food. I also mentioned to the staff that this should have been communicated before we ordered the food or when they got to know the dance was cancelled as the order was to support the business and the belly dance event. The food was way overpriced and bland. They offered an extra mint tea, but both were cold and flavorless. While the staff was polite, gratuity was added to the bill without our consent or any disclosure. The least they could have done was inform us, especially since we were there specifically for the belly dance and ordered dinner to support the business. Overall, the experience felt unethical and disappointing. PS. I did confirm before going into the restaurant about the show. It should have been informed to us while we sat down and before we ordered food
