Pizzeria tranquilla nell’entroterra savonese.
Ambiente accogliente locale pulito ,personale adeguato pizza buona
Food is energy and consciousness. Delicious pizza, Indian food deliciously adapted for the Western palate. The person who brought us our dishes was sweet and kind. Eating at Govinda takes you beyond appearances; it means taking a step further, thinking of food as a means of nourishing the soul. We'll be back. Thank you.
A magical place; if you're going to be in this region, be sure to visit. It's the heart of Govinda, where everything is natural, cultivated, and lovingly tended by the faithful. The restaurant has its own cows, raised with love and care, and visitors can even come and see them. This is all about love.
The restaurant was reborn as "Govinda" just a few months ago. There are reviews and photos from previous management that only create confusion and should be removed. Good luck to the new Govinda!
A truly relaxing place. We had the Indian menu, €20 including fresh water and their sparkling drink made with tamarind and lemon… You could have asked for seconds on any dish on the Indian menu. Well, what can I say? We ate very well, but not only was the staff courteous and the atmosphere relaxed, but there's a positive energy and you leave feeling at peace. We'll definitely be back.
Delicious pizza, vegetarian dishes worth trying. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
I was pleasantly surprised by this recently opened restaurant, run with love and dedication by Hare Krishna monks. The atmosphere is one of pure positivity and welcome. The food is simply delicious. We had the opportunity to try both the Indian menu, rich in authentic flavors and with the welcome option of seconds, and the pizzas, which you wouldn't expect in a restaurant like this, but were a real revelation! The "pizza round" option, allowing you to sample several, is fantastic. The desserts deserve an honorable mention: superb, a true delight for the palate. The all-you-can-drink option with soft drinks and water is also excellent. The service is still being tested, as is normal for a new restaurant, but the kindness and commitment are such that I'm sure it will soon become impeccable. A little tip for anyone who decides to try this wonderful place: you won't find any meat or alcohol here. Open your mind and heart, and prepare to enjoy the good, simple things in life in a truly special setting. Highly recommended!
A pleasant discovery. New management, friendly staff, excellent pizza and desserts, and excellent value. We'll definitely be back to try the Indian menu!
Delicious pizza, super appetizer, and amazing desserts. The staff was friendly, I can't wait to go back. Well done.
Very nice Pizza
Opened a few days ago under new management. I found the pizza excellent, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I was very satisfied. Highly recommended!
Excellent pizzeria.....
We were hiking on the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri and stopped here for a night. Friendly staff and a very good restaurant! We thank them especially because they were very helpful in our journey through the mountains.
We went as a group to try the pizzas and the Indian menu: everything was delicious! The pizza dough was very light, the flavors delicate (exclusively vegetarian), and the Indian menu was delicate yet tasty, with spices carefully balanced so as not to overpower but to maintain the flavors of Indian cuisine. The staff were friendly and helpful; perhaps the interior could be improved, as it was a bit noisy and the tables were very close together.
Good food also gluten free and good variety of the wines
Excellent truffle pizza, especially when served with egg and paired with a quality Barbera. Unfortunately, I couldn't rate the food since they only served pizza that evening. The staff was not very accustomed to interacting with the public. A table booked for 25 people, but when we asked for seconds, the dough was out. We only managed to get two more pizzas, after which the waitress let us know it was time to leave. I did, however, manage to enjoy a very good apple strudel. It's a shame, they weren't very welcoming... maybe a bad night can happen.
Sconsigliato.
When my partner and I entered, we were greeted by the scent of incense and a smiling young woman who escorted us to our table. She was very kind, since it was very cold, and she had us sit next to the radiator (although a scarf was mandatory). After a while, she brought us a jug with a brown liquid inside, without telling us what it was. When she came to take our order, she offered us the €20 Indian menu. We asked what was in it, and she replied, "A bit of everything, rice, vegetables..." We ordered two pizzas, water, and an orange soda. While we waited, always very kind and nice, she brought us a plate of fries with two dips. Then the pizzas arrived, followed by drinks. The pizzas were burnt on the bottom and raw on the inside. The tomato was sour, there was a splash of industrial mozzarella on top, and mushrooms in oil, not the good kind. I must have eaten four slices before giving up. My partner didn't fare any better, but the fact that he hadn't eaten since morning (the fries were shared aside) led him to eat half of it. It's the first time in five years I've seen him leave food. We left. €26 for two 8-piece pizzas, and at this point the fries weren't included. It's not so much the price as the mockery... A truly disappointing experience. Especially given the setting and the atmosphere. We regret the previous management. Guys, the idea is good even if you chose a less than ideal location. There's plenty of room for improvement.
Disastrous experience at the "Govinda" in Giovo Ligure. I went to dinner with a friend at the new management of the Hare Krishna monks and was shocked. Years ago, when Igor made the pizza, it was a whole different story. My friend ordered the "Goranga" pizza (a simple Margherita with mushrooms): inedible, rubbery, and almost all of it left on the plate. I tried it too, and it was one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. I, a vegetarian and a lover of Asian cuisine, chose the Indian menu. I found a piece of meat on my plate. I asked for an explanation, and the staff rudely replied that "maybe" it had ended up there because some of the kitchen staff eat meat. Unacceptable for a restaurant that claims to be vegetarian. No one came to apologize, no refund, no invoice. Terrible organization, zero respect for customers and basic hygiene and consistency. I made a fool of myself in front of my friend. I will never return and I strongly advise against this place. I have already sent a certified email to the Savona Local Health Authority and the relevant consumer association.
A pizzeria that doesn't serve beer, nor pizzas with salami, ham, or any other animal products, because they use animals. Vegetarian place. Stop, keep it. -.- How sad, I miss Igor and Deborah's old management.
July 27, 2024, we call and go to dinner with friends. On the website we see appetizers and other things, it says Italian cuisine and pizza... then there's nothing but pizza!!!!!! Why not change the website instead of attracting people with old photos or not mentioning when we call that you only do pizza. Then, since you also make pizzas with cold cuts and other ingredients, what does it cost to make small plates of cold cuts or other things? I'm sorry, but I don't recommend it.
