Incredible experience having a family dinner at Tasca. The cocktails were all unique, beautifully crafted, and delicious. The Oceanographer was a standout. Same for the food…beautifully plated and unique combinations of flavors and textures. The duck was especially good. Service was also friendly and impeccable throughout.
An absolute gem on the Upper West Side! Tasca is a beautiful space—elegant yet welcoming, with stunning bird-themed lighting that adds such a unique charm. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive, and brought great energy to the night. The location couldn’t be better—perfect for a post-dinner stroll along Central Park. Now the food—wow. We started with the empanadas, and they were perfectly flaky with rich, flavorful fillings (the chicken and beef were both standouts). The seafood paella was beautifully executed, but the dish that stole the show was the pork loin—juicy, bold, and bursting with Puerto Rican flavor. A memorable meal from start to finish.
My wife and I had an excellent dinner at Tasca. We walked in not knowing much about it and were pleasantly surprised. The menu and specials were creative and genuinely delicious. The decor and ambience made for a lovely night out. We had the octopus special, scallops, mushrooms and gambas to start, followed by the filet mignon and halibut special. Everything was flavorful, tender, and thoughtfully prepared. We had a great night and will definitely be back.
We went for dinner on Valentine’s Day, and even though it was very busy, the food and service were excellent as always. The lobster bisque was amazing, it was rich, creamy, and full of flavor and dessert was the perfect ending to the date. This is my favorite place in the city, and it never disappoints. We will be back soon!
Found this place on a whim and so glad we did! Delicious food, top notch service, and friendly staff. It was a cold night to go out but so glad we did! Will return for flamingo dancing and a great cocktail!
This place was amazing, I would say almost perfect. Staff was attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere was great. it had a really nice vibe. the music was at a level where it blocked out other patrons, but you could still have a conversation without yelling and the music was good. the place has a really nice decor as well. Now the food was amazing. I had the ribeye which was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. my wife had the filet mignon and hers was also cooked perfectly and also had an amazing sauce. Desert was also so good! I had the passionfruit cheesecake and wow. We will definitely be going back here! Definitely must try this place
We had a really nice brunch here. Staff was so kind and attentive. Kid friendly—they have high chairs. Food was solid. Drinks exceptional. They have an amazing brunch food deal along with bottomless drinks (mimosas, sangria, and Bloody Marys if I remember correctly). We got the brunch selection but didn’t try the bottomless drinks. Would definitely go back!
My friend and I had a delicious dinner tonight. The food was very tasteful . Our waiter, Ronrico was attentive and friendly. We liked the cozy ambience and did not feel rushed. We will be back. Happy Holidays! Nancy Dubin
Absolutely love the ambience and at this restaurant. Perfect for date night. I’ve been to this restaurant twice and will return. The waiters are very attentive which I appreciate. Server Rodrigo is very hospitable and made the dining experience a positive one. My husband and I had a great birthday dinner. Over all the staff are all very welcoming.
We had our office holiday party here tonight. Honestly, the food was great, the place was great, but what made it all really standout was the service. Wine service was exemplary. They all really took care of our party non stop. And even when we maybe were there a lot longer, they made us feel welcome. I couldn't recommend this place more. And a special shout out to AJ who was such a great part of the service team!!!!
We had a wonderful dining experience today at Pasca NYC with my family. The salmon was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the *filet mignon* was tender, juicy, and beautifully presented — absolutely delicious! The service was exceptional. Rodrigo went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of throughout the entire meal. His attention to detail and warmth truly stood out. Highly recommend Pasca NYC for anyone looking for outstanding food and top-notch service. We’ll definitely be back!
Tasca is dining experience you don’t want to miss. The freshly prepared food options, warm ambiance, and Rodrigo, our charismatic server, made for a perfect evening. We enjoyed the grilled octopus appetizer, paella for two, the sea bass, topped off with the passion fruit cheesecake. Their creative chef paired fine food and flavors with artistic presentation. We are looking forward to our next chance to dine at this culinary find and see a Flamenco dinner show.
Seriously one of my best NYC dining experiences to date! Went to dinner recently with my family and Rodrigo was our server. He was extremely attentive and gave great recommendations. I had the halibut which was so delicious. The drinks were also incredible. Would definitely go back. 10/10.
Our new favorite spot on the UWS — hands down one of the most impressive dining experiences in NYC. Everything from the first bite to dessert felt intentional, balanced, and elevated. We started with croquettas, octopus, and empanadas — all flawless. The croquettas were crisp and rich without being heavy, the empanadas perfectly golden with sauces that actually added something, and the octopus was tender with just the right char. For mains, we went with two specials: a filet mignon topped with wild mushrooms in a silky sauce, and a halibut over a delicate leek base. Both were exceptional — beautifully cooked, full of depth, and plated like art. Dessert sealed it: the cheesecake was unreal — light, creamy, and paired with sorbet and fruit that made it feel fresh instead of heavy. What really sets Tasca apart is the service. Rodrigo made us feel like regulars from the moment we sat down — warm, attentive, and clearly proud of what they do here. Tasca is the rare restaurant that nails both the food and the feeling. It’s upscale without being pretentious, and every dish has a point of view. Easily a top-tier spot in the city
The food is superb. The service is friendly and warm. The vibe is energetic. If you like duck, this is the place! Deliciously complex sweet spiced (not hot spice) and lightly fruity. Cooked perfectly to the recommended medium rare. Equally delicious were the lamb chops, and the sea bass. The mixed seafood was a tad salty for me, but still quite tasty for others in our party.
Absolutely marvelous dinner, the food and service exceeded all expectations. We spent a week eating our way across Manhattan and this was decidedly our favorite meal of the trip. After finishing a Michelin*** meal (which was phenomenal!) my partner and I both agreed we'd have rather gone back to Tasca. The effort put into the experience was obvious and well appreciated. We'll be back every time we visit NYC.
This place is such a wonderful place to bring groups for a nice and fancy dinner. The atmosphere is beautiful with some really creative decorations, the bar is huge with a hefty selection, the service was top notch, and the food was amazing. We went for Restaurant Week and got their prix fixed menu which normally feels so limited but they had some great options. Everything we ordered came out relatively fast and everything was delicious. The drinks were refined and well balanced which I will always appreciate. The server was super helpful and really gave us a great experience. His recommendations were perfect. It felt like he knew exactly what I would like. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a great meal at a very comfortable and welcoming restaurant.
Reviewing 2 meals, one on Saturday and the other one Tuesday evening. Our server George could not have ben more Patient and helpful... as was his Assistant Cruz. There was no rush and we enjoyed a Great Time with a Great Meal. Sitting out front on Tuesday evening was incredible (the perfect weather certainly helped) - but we will be going again and again.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We celebrated our anniversary at Tasca NYC last night and had a wonderful experience! The service was fast, friendly, and made us feel special throughout the evening. We started with the grilled octopus—perfectly cooked and full of flavor—followed by the paella for two. While it was a touch on the salty side, the portion was generous and we really enjoyed it. For dessert, we had the passion fruit cheesecake, which was light, tangy, and a great way to end the meal. A lovely surprise was the complimentary digestif offered with dessert to help us celebrate—such a thoughtful touch! Overall, a fantastic dinner and memorable anniversary evening. Highly recommend!
Be me: Call at 8:30 to ask when the kitchen closed. First I hear 9:30. Then she corrects herself to 10:30- we are on speaker- My guy asks, "What time does the kitchen close?" She says 10. We all heard it. Confirmed it too! We come from the East Side in a blizzard and get there at 9:40 -- in a non-challant voice, Ellie says sorry - we can't feed you- kitchen is closed. I even asked ahead of time if they take Blackbird Pay. They do. I covered every base. Apparently Tasca can't manage to cover theirs. And the cherry on top? "I didn't know you were coming." It's a restaurant. People come. That's the whole point. If you close at 9:30, say 9:30. Don't give different answers and then act confused when customers show up based on what you told them. Train your hosts. Or at least teach them the hours. I can't even imagine the food or service if the point of entry is so bad.
