My first time here with my son, great experience! My son loves their grilled chicken tacos. Drew was very helpful and attentive.
Don't miss the rice bowl with chicken and elotes. Also the cilantro lime dressing, quesadilla, tortilla soup were fire. Loved the corn and black bean salsa too!
Always a good experience, never have any issues with food or service. Their Taco Tuesday deal is a great value, and I love their nachos. Portion sizes and food quality offer good value for your money especially if you use the app, there's always good offers and rewards points to use for free food.
I LOVE this place! The food is SUPER fresh, and you can watch it get made right in front of you. The staff is always cheery and helpful. I highly recommend the shredded chicken in a quesadilla. It's the BEST! Also, the drink selection here is unmatched!
Okay when I tell you this place was off the chain I mean it .We stayed at a hotel down the road when in town and decided to get Uber eats ...I chose this place because they had Tres Leches... And it was so wonderful 💜perfection...wow all the food was amazing my husband got the double enchilada meal and I got the create your own bowl it was all so fresh and tasted delicious.the cilantro lime rice was so good .the Mexican Corn was delicious it was all amazing . The way it was packaged for the trip was perfect.i.wish we had one close to our house but we will make a point from.now on to come here when in the area . Great job Cafe Rio ... wonderful
It was OK. I feel like Cafe Rio has been going downhill for a while. The service wasn't great workers looked like they didn't want to be there, and the rice and beans were not fresh. This location, in particular, is not very good. Would not recommend.(This location). Update: so apparently they got a new manager and he's amazing before the service wasn't great and the food want fresh but it's a lot better he is super kind and is getting things under control so it sounds like I'm going to be coming back here more times. Would recommend.
Ended up here on Easter because Luna grilled was closed and I’m glad we did. The taco with beef barbacoa was delicious! Ended up buying 2 more before I left to go! We also had the salad bowl with the grilled chicken which was definitely a hit as well. The service was good. I would definitely come back.
Visited with my wife, son and daughter in law along with our granddaughter so the atmosphere was awesome. The food was outstanding. I recommend getting the birria nachos as well as the carnitas burrito, they are so good. The tortillas are made fresh right in front of us and they are delicious.
The staff are amazing! The food however.. it's not bad but it could use seasoning. The carnitas I had was totally bland. I think perhaps next time I'll try something other than the carnitas
Monday 3-9 1:45 pm Foods was okay , but the black chick with the dreads was extremely rude , and she over charged us and wanted to argue over it ... Send help .
This was the FIRST TIME that we tried Cafe Rio, and is probably the LAST! I was not impressed at all with the Customer Service! Unfortunately the food was Decent Tasting, hence the 2☆s. The food prep server was less than enthused to have to describe what the different options were and the cashier was noticeably annoyed that we could tell her exactly what we had ordered. Again, this was our FIRST visit! She even snapped, "Next time you'll know to remember!" The Steam Table and Frige Top that they sever off of was DISGUSTING!! They had a person using a rag to wipe dripping and dropped ingredients in between the drop in containers away, but it was just falling into the clean food. There was absolutely no concern for Cross Contamination! The server changed out the pico de gallo in front of us, pulling out the old container and dropping in the new. Then poured the remaining pico on top, in doing so, over filled it and pico all up the side of the dirty wall of the service area. My Suggestions to Cafe Rio: If your gonna be so sloppy, maybe dont have a glass guard to show this barbaric process! And have a marker to write what each meal is on the side of the containers or lids, so we dont get scolded by the cashier! Like I said, the food was Decent, every other aspect was NOT RECOMMENDABLE!
Came to this place when it first opened, I did expect for them to be a little crazy packed. And the food was good that day. But not great I have gone to the one in Redlands and I was very impressed with that one the food was great every time I went and service as well. I've gone two times to this location in Rancho and I've had bad luck with my food so far. I gave it one more try today and I'm definitely not going to come back to this one at least. My rice was undercooked it was very crunchy my beans were still little hard. Also make sure you ask if anything that you are adding to your meal is extra because sometimes they don't tell you till after they put it onto your plate. My kids added because a guy you're onto their burrito and dating let them know till after the fact they had ordered it on top of their food. Shredded chicken was included in my meal but if you wanted to change it to the other kind of chicken then it's extra. My husband's burrito was okay a little on the salty side. My kids had a different kind of burrito they really liked it and it was really good.
This location is sketchy and inconsistent. Ordered a salad with corn tortillas—something I’ve gotten many times—and only received one. When I asked, I was told that’s all they had. Portions were extremely skimpy on meat, beans, and rice, then overloaded with lettuce to make up for it. For nearly $20, it was basically a bowl of lettuce. After sitting down, I ended up returning the food for a refund—and suddenly they offered to make corn tortillas for me. That should’ve been done from the start, not after the fact. Worse than Chipotle when it comes to portioning. Staff seemed disengaged and indifferent. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Would give zero stars if I could. Placed an order online. It was supposed to be ready at 3:00pm. Wasn’t ready until 3:29pm. Customer service hung up on me after making up two different reasons as to why it wasn’t ready. No type of compensation was offered. Food was mediocre at best. Cilantro is on the stem, chicken didn’t have flavor, toppings were missing. Will not eat here again.
This restaurant is an absolute disgustingly hot mess!!!! The guacamole is brown and old, the rice is over cooked and just sitting in its dryness, the pregnant female and guy with the ponytail (pink scrunchie and tight jeans) and tattoos are sitting at the FIRST table in front of entrance door socializing, eating and watching videos on their phones while the pregnant chick lifts up her shirt to show her belly to the guy she's sitting with, there is cheese, pico de gallo, beans, and debris scattered all over the food area, allllllll the mean is at the bottom of each container, dried out, old, crusted over.... and apparently Ryan just got to work so he and the tortilla preparation lady are the only two working. He apologized for the food presentation and has been filling containers and moving since we arrived. As we continue to sit here eating, the guy with a ponytail and pink scrunchy is on his phone behind the counter and playing with trades while dancing to the music being played in the store, the pregnant lady is walking around chatting it up with everybody and the white guy preparing chicken is having inappropriate conversations about discrimination and other subjects that customers do not need to hear your employees talking about while on duty. The floors are filthy, the horchata is made like sweet milk with no flavor. The Health Departmeny already gave them a "B", but apparently they seem to be aiming for a "D"or an "F" at this rate.
This place has gone completely downhill. We used to enjoy coming to this location. They now have. B rating. The pictures attached are what we walked into at 3:30pm on a Tuesday. All the food looked like it could give you food poisoning or lock jaw. Needless to say, we didn’t get any food, but got some lemonade. The employees that were off the clock were sitting at the tables right inside the front door. Laughing and yelling at each other at an obnoxiously loud level. There is absolutely no reason for this place to look like this. The only station that was clean was the older lady making the tortilla. It’s funny how these places will look dirty and disgusting and still have a tip option at the end of the purchase. This place is absolutely repulsive. The guac was brown. As you can see from the pictures, the food was spread all over the place and that was just the pictures I could take!
