Wonderful bartender - a young woman. And of course, as ever, delicious Hexagenia. Their new space in the public market is fantastic. The whole market is, actually.

Looking for great local craft beer in Redding? Then head over to Fall River Brewing's taproom at the Redding Public Market located downtown. The outdoor patio with a fire pit, yard games, and friendly service make this spot worth the visit. Recommendation: Order some pizza by the slice at the adjacent Noni's Pizzeria and Slice Shop. What's better than beer and pizza?

It was our first trip to the Public Market. It was packed!! But as usual the staff at Fall River was attentive and extremely fast. We got to say ”hi” to John and Amanda too!

Best Beer in town

Good brews and even better service! But they’ll serve out of plastic when all the glasses are dirty.

The layout of the tap house is terrible! The counter where you order your beer is placed directly above and in front of their three-sink washing basin used for cleaning glasses. So a worker is cleaning glasses, and then another worker has to reach around them while they're washing glasses to take your order! In addition, they run out of glasses very quickly and stack them in a pile at the end of the bar so you get your beer in a plastic cup. I've never seen such an oversight is design, as they should have a dishwasher and the sink should be placed on the back or sidewall away from customers. It's a bit frustrating to pay a premium price for a beer, only to be served in a plastic cup while you're looking a stack of unwashed glasses. We enjoy their beer very much, but had to provide an honest review only because you asked. Cheers!
