A beautiful interior really sets this bagel store above others. The service was quick and considering we were there about 20 minutes before close the bagels were still fresh and amazing.

I had the pleasure of visiting this store after coming from Virginia, and I must say, the creamy cheese, especially the strawberry cream cheese, was absolutely delightful. Not only did we bring back a variety of bagels, but the owner also kindly gifted us free bagels of all kinds. Her generosity and kindness made our experience even more memorable. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast here and couldn't resist returning to purchase more of their fantastic cream cheese and bagels. Without a doubt, if our travels bring us to Long Island again, we will definitely make it a point to revisit this wonderful store.

Stopped in Sunday for a late suicide brunch. Didn't call ahead. Still fair prices, solid portions, not much of a wait. Real food, served up by real people. Especially liked they still have the sign warning folks no cell phones. If you can't manage a smiley good morning, give your full attention and brief, cordial banter, go eat toxic at one of the chain restaurants. Windows were open, comfortable, not freezing. Thought about getting my service dog from the car and eating inside. But wanted to wolf down my food like an animal if and not have to chat if neighbors or dog park friends came in. Fueled up, took a nap, completed the rest of my physical chores. Very satisfied and comfortable.

What’s not to like. Excellent service. Great prices. Very good bagels, donuts and sandwiches. I guess during the closedown days the owners did some renovations. The soft light silver gray decor brightens the place. Love coming here with friends. October 2022. As always bagels were fresh and tasty. I hope they replace the tables. A lot of wear and tear. Be careful can scratch your hands. They make a very good breakfast sandwich at a reasonable price. People of all ages love this place. Nice room set off from main area for groups too. July 2024. Went to a breakfast Birthday party for a 99 year old friend and the owners are ere wonderful. Party room nicely decorated with balloons and while we placed our order at the counter they served us at our seat. Made me he Birthday Kid laugh heartily with a nice small cake and candle. Memorable. This is an excellent affordable breakfast and lunch place.

I don't get to visit long Island as much as I want. But when I do come, I love getting the bagels and especially the egg sandwiches. This place is relatively close to my family on the island and is definitely worth the drive. Not only is it my family's favorite spot, but mine as well. Plus the staff is both nice and quick with their service. A wonderful spot that everyone should try.

Stopped in today and had amazing bagel sandwiches that tasted like no others! Egg, cheese and bacon all great tasting on a bagel like none others! Owner so friendly and staff helpful! Walked away with a bag of 15 bagels for my NH freezer to enjoy and share with neighbors! Glad we found this spot!

I have lived in Arizona since 2000, I moved from East Quogue, and worked in Riverhead for over 15 years. I ate at Bagel Lovers for lunch every single day I worked in Riverhead. I miss it so so much!! Sure there’s good food here in AZ. However once you cross the Mississippi, the water is different and good bagels out here do not exist. I would seriously consider flying back for Bagel Lovers once a month if I could afford it!!! I miss this gem at least once a week for the past 26 years that’s how good Bagel Lovers is.

I have been going to bagel lovers for about 2 years plus, Denise and Kenny run a great bagel place with great food and a great atmosphere. They also can make anything you want just need to ask...I even have my own sandwich there.

What a terrific place. It is like stepping back in time to the fifties in a good way. Lots of seating and the bagels are out of this world. Fresh and with just the right balance of soft and chewy. The staff literally fall over backwards to please. I have tried a few different variants but my go to order is just a simple egg and ham on an everything bagel with a large coffee. Yum,yum. Parking lot a little small but you can park in the street if you have to. Last time we had a group of 10 and no one was disappointed. Give it a shot!

This is a great little local bagel shop! Stopped in because my family wanted bagels for Sunday breakfast, I’m a local business owner we don’t have any bagel shops immediately local to my store. The inside is incredibly clean, wonderful atmosphere. Staff is very friendly, got our orders perfect and my egg sandwich was *delish! Definitely will be going back! Bagel Lovers is definitely the place to go for freshly made bagels! We had bacon, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich on an everything bagel. It was delicious! The service was quick as well! Definitely going back! Who doesn’t like a NY bagel…and right in Riverhead?

While visiting my hometown from a place where there are no egg sandwiches and a good bagel is very hard to find ... I always make my way to Bagel Lovers in Riverhead! The sandwiches never disappoint, the coffee is hot and fresh! The dining ambiance could use some updating and I like to take my food to go as it's such a joy to eat breakfast while looking out over the LI Sound.

Eggs on a bagel was good. Coffee also.. my counter person was excellent( red headed guy). Personable, speedy to get order done quick and gave a pleasant goodbye. My only complaint was a guy i presume to be the owner came in and was really hard on the guy for something small.(not sure what it was).. employee took the high road and owner could take a que from him

Food was okay, staff seems to be what keeps people from coming back to be honest. I thought the egg sandwiches at the polish deli were better to be honest, and I didn't have to wait 35 min for it either. I'm sure that this establishment makes great bagels though I've never had one from here. But 35 min to get a basic breakfast sandwich? A little ridiculous.

A few months ago I would have given 10 stars, but the last gew times I've ordered food, it was a not disappointing. I'm not sure if there is a new cook, but the quality is down. How does one ask for extra mayo and barely any on it. Every time! I really hope they do better, my wife and I used to enjoy their food!!

I called in an order the other day, and the person taking my order sounded very snippy and even slammed the receiver down on me after I finished. When I arrived to pick up the sandwich, everyone was polite, and the checkout went smoothly. However, when I got home and opened the sandwich, it wasn’t what I ordered. I went back and to get the sandwich fixed , and the employee I spoke to was happy to correct the order. But while I was there, I noticed another staff member in the back who seemed to be annoyed over the situation and that the sandwich was getting fixed. I'm not sure what the situation was maybe they were having a bad day, but it just gave me a sour taste in my mouth. I don't really want to come back now. I get that working in the food industry can be tough, I did it for 10 years and there are some days where it just hits you. But no matter what I always strived to be as kind, professional and understanding as I could be. Treat others the way you'd like to treated no matter how busy or slow the day is.

People are nice the prices are good.... they have done a refit and it's a bit bright inside and they had a tv running with rather uninspiring content shown... Car shows etc... Basically ads. and the staff in general are in Covid denial. I used to go there often.... no longer will I be after having a discussion about the pandemic with one of the nice counter people. Let me repeat...the staff there seem very nice and all but yeah, they are the Fox news crowd. For my health and safety i will be avoiding this place more often than not. alas. used to be a cool place. Now it feels like a little bit of Florida on Eastern Long Island.

The staff are very polite and nice, but bagels are sub-par. This is coming from someone whos lived in Queens and Nassau and has been getting the best bagels his whole life. Bagel holes in middle are too big (should be just notches not giant holes) and there's something off about the bread flavor inside...I feel like they use too much yeast and that needs to be fixed.

These people do not practice proper hand hygiene when taking your food order which is not how a restaurant should function. Uses the same gloves to handle money, touch bagels, place bagels on dirty counter and then hand it to customers. The first time I went, I dismissed it because the sandwich was good. But today, was a no no. Also, My order was wrong and when I finally got my food it was burnt. I

The reason for the two-star review is your front counter person was rude she needs to learn how to treat customers and how to talk to people because her customer service skills really suck. I said that my order wasn't right I don't care if you took the order or not your job was to fix it not to tell me that if you have a problem the boss is right there too bad because you lost another customer

I use to like to go there to eat not any more the owner always up front and center using his hands handling the food poor hygiene as I watch and returned the following week the young girl playing with her nails not wearing gloves wanting to help customers I said no thanks and waited on the worker who properly wear gloves behind the counter. I had an unfair experience this morning I was waiting on like was a second class citizen. I place an order and it was done at the counter and standing there waiting to pay but a white guy comes up to the counter and the woman asked him how can I help you as she talks to him his sandwiches were coming from the kitchen area..while my order sitting here getting cold..so the woman at the cash register ring the guy for his order and left me standing here..then as she asked me what my order when my order was left on the countertop..I felt so discriminated😖😢😭😵I was the first customer but the last to pay when my order was finish first..poor customer service that was

I was disgusted by the way they handle food, money and everything else in between- with the same gloves on. It doesn’t matter if there is no law stating it’s mandatory to change gloves if your employees touch money, management should make it mandatory in order to provide clean service for your customers. I was told by the employee as I complained about this that customers have to request for the gloves to be changed because money doesn’t carry anything into the food LOL how sad is that. It may not transfer food borne illness but it sure does carry germs. I waited 10 minutes for the sandwiches and as I waited I watched as the employee handles money, stocked supplies, took gum from her mouth and threw it away, and scratched her nose all with the SAME gloves on as she causally helped another customer with bagels .. have some decent consideration for people’s food if you are running a food business. Once again, DISGUSTING. Never going back.

I went to this establishment because I’ve been here previously and the food was pretty good. This time was different. I called in my order, and I asked for an egg and cheese on a egg bagel. When I got my order to my surprise it was on a poppyseed bagel with pork bacon. When placing my order the person taking my order read the order back to me and confirmed no meat! I am extremely allergic to pork so I went back inside this establishment to get my order corrected the person in the front took the sandwich back and me gave me another sandwich. This time I thought it was correct. I bit into my sandwich to find that it was cold so it hadn’t been remade but it also had bacon bits still left on it. Luckily, I had my EpiPen on me, do not go here!

Got 2 of the exact same egg sandwich. 2 egg scramble soft bacon cheese spk. One had no cheese and no spk. And both almost cold when brought out to the table. The dozen bagels were the only good thing. We both had stomach issues after wards. Save your money. Beware when they give u the 1/4 pound of cream cheese if u get a dozen bagels free. Had cream cheese on bagel today. And again had stomach issues. Food poisoning is no funny. U have a choice go some place else

I picked up a DoorDash order and was given an attitude by an employee at the counter. DoorDash drivers are not required to wait behind a line of people who are PLACING their orders when the delivery I’m waiting on is sitting behind you. My customer and I therefore had to wait extra time on top of the poor service I received.
