From the decor, service and food, it was top notch. If you love Ramon Santiago's artwork, the dining area is full of his gorgeous paintings. The wait staff is knowledgeable and professional with suggestions. We had the crab cake and calamari appetizers which were both fantastic. The wagu burger and the Pancetta fettuccine was delicious. We topped it off with chocolate truffles. Highly recommend for a Special evening or just when you are looking for a quiet dinner.

We had not been back to "Tournedos" for a while. Our first visit to Gio's was a nice surprise. Attentive service, very pleasant atmosphere and excellent food. The wine selections were expertly chosen - just not the usual stuff. It's not cheap but well worth it. We'll definitely be back again.

Anthony was my head waiter, I appreciated the flawless execution of experiences we had at dinner. I’m the type of foodie that likes a lot of courses verse one or two it was all delivered in a way that my wife and I loved! Thank you Anthony service was great

Went to Gio Prime 26 for our anniversary and had a great experience. The service was excellent and the servers were very friendly and welcoming. We got the Wagyu steaks and they were amazing. Drinks were great too, and they were very accommodating with our food restrictions. Highly recommend!

My husband surprised me with dinner at Gio’s Prime 26 for my birthday after I raved about my high tea experience there. The Inn, itself, is lovely. Decorated beautifully for Christmas and well kept. I would love to go back to stay overnight. First and foremost was how easy it was to park. Although they offer valet services (we didn’t realize they did), we were able to park quickly and easily. Just a short walk to the front door. The hostess was warm and welcoming and we were seated quickly. From there, the service was attentive, warm and responsive. Scott is a fabulous waiter and, assisting him, Anthony was pleasant and helpful. I would go back just for these two. There is little that impresses me more than great service and I will overlook a bit to get it. Luckily, we didn’t have to overlook anything. The French Onion soup was tasty, very hot (I hate lukewarm food) and filling. We split this appetizer. Each Filet Mignon was perfectly cooked and the bordelaise sauce was to die for. My husband recommended the creamed spinach, which we would normally not have ordered, but he heard it was very good from the reviews. It did not disappoint! It was exceptional. Although the potatoes au gratin were a bit bland, a little extra salt fixed that. The crème brûlée and butterscotch pudding were just the right amount of wonderful to cap off the meal. We each had one drink and a glass of wine. Again, the drinks were very well made and generous pours. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. Long review, but this restaurant is a real gem. Again, the service alone made it stand out. Although a higher price point than some other restaurants it was worth it to feel like you’re in your own private world. I would absolutely return.

Outstanding restaurant under new ownership- it used to be Tournados. Great dry aged steaks are their specialties. It is pricier than a regular place and worth every penny. The hand crafted cocktails are the best I have ever had. Their chocolate old fashioned has separated batches of bourbon infused and frozen, then thawed and strainer. Don't miss out on thus place!

Very nice, low lit atmosphere. Service was fantastic. Staff was at the table often take care of needs or requests, pouring water, etc .. steaks were prepared as desired, very tender and a nice sauce to go with the bacon wrapped filet mignon. We also received complimentary champagne, a small dish of creme brulee with a candle and 2 small truffles for our anniversary. Making our 36th anniversary special. A bit expensive, everything is ala carte. But we knew that before going. We had been there in the past as Tournedos and will go again. Definitely recommend.

We had a private party in the parlor room. It was decorated very pretty and elegant. The food was excellent and we were able to customize the menu for our event and they were able to accommodate for a seafood allergy in our party as well. It was easy to orchestrate this event and Yvonne was very helpful and answered all our questions in a timely manner. We would recommend for any occasion!

My husband Ibrahim and I dined here for our first wedding anniversary and the staff was so very kind. Thank you to Hector the Assistant General Manager who engaged with us from the very beginning of our visit, extending such a warm welcome while also sharing information about some of the exciting events they have going on! Also our waiter Faiyzon was so amazing and fun! The food was immaculate, and we would recommend the rib eye steak which was aged to perfection. Thank you for our visit!

My family and I visited Gio’s Prime 26 steakhouse while staying at the Inn on Broadway. The staff were wonderful. Upon greeting our table, they asked if we were celebrating anything in particular to which we informed them we were celebrating our friends getting married and so they brought us prosecco for a cheers. They offer an extensive wine list and signature cocktails. For appetizers we ordered a dozen oysters, crab cake, and fried calamari. The oysters were very high quality and they offered three different types of oysters - all very flavorful. The crab cake and fried calamari were great. I highly recommend any of these appetizers. I ordered the American Wagyu NY Strip with a Lobster tail for my meal (you can turn any meal into surf in turf as they offer seafood pairings of lobster tail, grilled shrimp, and crab). The steak was cooked medium rare as I ordered it and was seasoned to perfection, one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! My wife ordered the risotto which was top notch. Our friends ordered the Dry Aged Porterhouse, considering they didn’t leave anything but the bone I think it’s safe to say it was delicious. For desert we shared bananas foster and cheesecake. The cheesecake was good but the banana’s foster was to die for. I’m a sucker for a good banana’s foster and love when a steakhouse offers it on the desert menu. Our server was highly attentive and also very entertaining. Every one of the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. If you’re in Rochester and looking for a wonderful steakhouse, look no further!

Lovely welcoming atmosphere with impeccable decor. Easy open parking. I had the spicy margarita and crab cake both were absolutely delicious. The crab cake was the best I have had in Rochester 5 out 5 hands down. The server Tyler was nice, giving a rich history of the restaurant. The only disappointing part was Tyler did not share the happy hour menu until I asked about specials. Had he done this it would of been 5 out 5 for my experience.

Went with my boyfriend for our anniversary. I ordered the wagyu burger and he get the filet mignon. My burger came out undercooked, after taking 45 mins to come out. Even though it came out wrong we never heard from the manager. Our waitress Lauren was wonderful and very sweet, she brought us a free dessert. Overall not terrible but also not worth the price .

This is only about the steakhouse. The food was tasty but what absolutely ruined the experience for me was the wait time for food. Our dinner was 2.5 hours long! We ordered the trio and potatoes au gratin and my best guess is the baking time on the potatoes was long but I would have appreciated a warning beforehand. Other restaurants I frequent provide a courteous warning like "this dish will take approximately 40minutes to prepare."

This was the 2nd time we visited the restaurant since it became "Gio's": Cocktails and apps in the lounge. The food was delish: crab cakes, eggplant, wagyu meatballs. This 2nd time though, we were very disappointed with the cocktails. Two of us ordered the white negronis, first time... yummy (though small)! This time seemed weak, not as tasty, small and overpriced. Our friend ordered a martini, and it came in a small "dessert wine" type of glass. Just not what we would expect. Again, small and overpriced. I think this time we had a different bartender than the last time. Service was slow, though our server was so pleasant, just not enough of them. We appreciated Hector, assistant manager, helping out. We will definitely be back because of the food and ambiance but hope to get some better cocktails next time!

Spent hundreds to eat under cooked risotto and look at other people’s back sides. They were out of several items already at 7:30. We were seated at a low table in a busy bar even though we had a reservation elsewhere. We spent the evening having our table bumped into, a woman stood with her hand on the back of my chair loudly talking to her friends during most of the risotto. I man used our table to sign his bar tab, next to food we were eating. We’ve eaten at this restaurant (previously name) on Valentine’s Day for years, this year we joked about how it was the worst VD meal we’ve had in 26 years together and we need to find a new restaurant.

Disappointed. We pulled up in an Orange Corvette with reservations. They park us up in front. We are well dressed for the occasion. Sat us in a special booth in the lounge. No one came to serve us for 25 minutes. They forgot about us. Not even drinks! So we left. No one noticed we left? Maybe they will notice this review? We went somewhere else and they took us right away!

I used to go to the steakhouse restaurant called Tournadoes, which is what this place used to be with an amazing Italian chef. Then unfortunately, he had to sell the restaurant due to a death in the family, and new owners purchased it. Now they have a new chef named Jose and it’s terrible. I really miss the old version. The steak was overcooked, but they still charge you $90. I asked for medium and I got medium well. For $90 it should be perfect. The pasta is terrible and not the quality of what it used to be. Some of the best menu items have been removed. The bread has been changed for the worse. The burger was so charred you can’t even taste the pork belly inside of it because all you taste is burnt char. The meatballs are not that tender even though supposedly they’re Wagyu. The eggplant appetizer was good. Asparagus was good. Crème brûlée was good, but the pannacotte dessert was not. The fettuccine was low quality. Every attempted Italian food was a terrible mess. The entire meal was so disappointing. I’ll never be going back. The new chef is not even half as good as the prior one. They removed the garlic confit that usually came with the bread which was the best part. The rack of lamb was only a half a rack for $56 and it tasted gamey. This used to be the best steakhouse in Rochester and now it’s not even in the top three. The chef needs to go back to school. I can make a better steak and a better rack of lamb at home. The scallops were good, but the corn it came with tasted like a Mexican flavor which did not make sense with the rest of the dish. $125 per person on average . With tax and tip it was $440 for only three individuals -a complete rip off. This restaurant’s best days are behind them.

This was the most disappointing dinner i have ever had in my entire life. I’ll just start by saying the “fan favorite” crab cake tastes like a fish they pulled from a fish tank. Is crab supposed to be fishy tasting? I don’t think so. And next our entrees. Omg Delmonico’s Steakhouse blew this place away, which is saying a lot considering it’s a quarter of the price. We were told it would be melt in your mouth and the most flavorful steak we’ve ever had. We got the wagyu strip steak for over $90, and let me just tell you this steak didn’t taste like it was worth over $20. The most dry and unflavorful steak i’ve ever had. We also asked for it to be medium rare and i’ll just say it was not that. And lastly we got the lobster tail, which i’m sure you can guess what im going to say about that. TERRIBLE. Overall this was very disappointing considering we were told by multiple people that had gone to Tornados a long time ago that it was the best meal they ever had. Not sure why they decided to rebrand this restaurant and change everything, BUT DO NOT COME HERE.

We visited Gio’s Prime 26 in Rochester to celebrate a 50th birthday, excited for a high-end dining experience. While the atmosphere and service were good — the staff attentive and knowledgeable, and the bread and beet salad enjoyable — the meal itself was disappointing overall. The arancini was partially spoiled, which was a major turn-off. The strip steak, ordered rare to medium rare, came overcooked and extremely salty. The cauliflower steak was over-seasoned with balsamic, and the sides (creamed spinach, au gratin potatoes, risotto) were overly rich, with the risotto slightly undercooked. The Brussels sprouts were just okay. My guest of honor, a chef with 20+ years of experience, immediately noted that the execution was below expectations for a steakhouse at this price point. For nearly $400 for three people, the overall experience fell far short of expectations. I’ve reached out to the restaurant to provide feedback directly, but the $50 offered refund did not feel reflective of the issues we encountered especially spoiled food and a poorly executed steak.

Disappointing to say the least. The jazz club prior being the highlight of our evening. Table for five on our annual Christmas dinner with friends. Cocktails were fine, ordered entrees right away as we were told the kitchen was backed up. Ordered a bottle of wine between cocktails, in preparation for entrees, ordered appetizer of oysters, which were very good, but the remainder was less than expected. Wine didn't come, waiter actually said the other table was a sommelier, so apparently he took preference. After some legitimate complaints, the wine came, but not without some attitude from our waiter. He was told of our dissatisfaction, and basically said he didn't want to hear our concerns. We were not the only dissatisfied customers, as some customers near us left before the arrival of their entrees. I was shocked, after having worked in the food service industry, at not only the lack of contrition, but the antagonistic nature of our waiter. Of course, the manager became involved, and was most apologetic and accommodating. However, our food was cool, if not cold, one in our party never received his salad, and the overall experience was NOT what was expected. We still enjoyed our time with friends, but will not be going back. Some staffing issues need to be attended to, and if the kitchen cannot keep up that is an issue too. I am loathe to give a bad review, but if it will improve the quality of the service I wish them well in the future. Nice wine selection, good cocktails, and as I said, the jazz before dinner was most enjoyable. The menu items probably would've been delicious if served at the proper temperature. Work to be done in training and hiring, but there are many other choices for now. Good luck in the future.

Our experience went downhill, at our arrival. Booked a table in the lounge, and when we were led to " our table", it hadn't been cleaned yet, so we were diverted to a table in the corner of the dining room. After 20 minutesof being sat , we had yet to see a server. I approached the hostess and was told someone would be right over. Five minutes later, a server arrived and was very apologetic and sincere about the extended wait time. We placed our entire drink and dinner order at that time. After appetizers, I was informed that they were out of my dinner selection and I reselected. When the dinners arrived, two of our parties meals arrived without their sides, and mine arrived cold ( it was supposed to be a hot dish). The sides finally arrived only after they had finished their main dish. The waitress was horrified that my meal was cold and said she'd speak to the manager about it. She also offered us complimentary dessert, but at this point, we had been there for two hours and really just wanted to go home. After approximately ten minutes the server came back and stated that she couldn't locate the manager to notify him about my meal being served cold. I paid the bill and just wanted to go home and put comfy clothes on. This review is in no where a negative for the server. She truly tried to remedy the nonstop issues. The issues that arose are all due to poor training, management and execution. One last thing to make note of, was how annoyingly loud the dining room was. The acoustics are horrible. The only way to communicate amongst ourselves, and the server, was to shout to each other.

Recommend this place for an associate of mine and his lady friend and they were beyond dissatisfied. It was a very disappointing experience. According to my associate, the valet took forever to bring his car, the food took way too long to come out, and for a $300 meal, the service and quality were nowhere near worth it. To top it off, they cut his steak and he didn’t like that they did that..who does that at a fine dining restaurant? Definitely was not a good experience bring back tournedos!

I tried to wait to give this review giving this establishment the benefit of the doubt. While dining at their restaurant someone broke my window and broke into my truck. The manager told me that only the police could view the footage for them. This all happened while security was parked in the parking lot watching a movie on his phone (had to knock on his window to get his attention). They told me to leave my name and number at front desk and day manager would be giving me a call. I waited 2 days then I called and asked to speak to someone. They had no idea what I was talking about so they took my name and number down again. Still haven't heard from anyone. If it was just my car broken into ill understand but it was multiple vehicles broken into starting from 9pm to 10pm. When telling the guard he spoke of other times it's been happening. This is a terrible look on management and the way they make their customers feel safe to enjoy their establishment

Maybe we came in an off night but server seemed nervous abd so did the assistant manager. They didn't bring us bread until we asked way after our appetizer came. The butter was hard. I ordered medium well filet they came medium rare but flavor was great. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant mashed potatoes I'd rather have Bob Evans in the box we also had to ask to have them as they forgot them with our meal. The chicken was good but slightly dry. The drinks where strong and the special raspberry cosmopolitan tasted like cough syrup. We did have meatballs for an appetizer and it was great. The servers were very friendly. Ultimately fir a high end steakhouse it just was way below par. I've had high quality meals at bar and grills

Save your money! There was so much bad that I don't even know where to start. We were there for a birthday dinner and there were 6 of us, our first round of drinks didn't come for an hour after being there and the whole experience took 3 hours and we didn't even order appetizers or dessert. Our bill came to over $830 dollars. All of our steaks were overcooked. And 2 of them that were ordered rare and that came out over medium we asked about and were told we could get new ones but then the manager came out and tried to tell us that that is what a rare on a dry aged steak looks like, which was a very light pink but mostly brown. Even though next to the bone which was actually rare was red. Then they brought us 2 new steaks that were barely seared and totally raw besides the sear and totally cold in the middle. We were also told by the server to order the steak as a surf and turf which my girl friend did by asking to make it a surf ant turf with scallops so the steak came out with plain seared scallops on the side of the plate which was fine until we got the bill and were charged the full 90 dollars for the steak and 40 dollars for a scallop entree even though the scallops came with nothing that their scallop entree should come with. We were told by the server that that's just how they do it. And then we saw a full 20% auto gratuity added to the bill, which I've managed resteraunts for 20 years and never seen a 20% auto gratuity (which is usually the least I usually tip anywhere that's decent) but it's usually 15 or 18. But when I informed the server that it's illegal to auto grat without noticing the customers on the menu, she told me that it says it on the website which it doesn't. I could have made a fuss but chose to pay and leave at this point with them now having someone in dining that will tell people not to go there ever. When they could have just did the right thing, they blew it on every level, with the food and the absolutely slow and horrible service. I have been eating out at nice resteraunts my whole life and this is the first time I have ever been compelled to write a review, I normally hate them. Please please please don't experience what we just went through and save your hard earned money!
