Qué bien comimos! Optamos por el arroz del día, con cigalas y rape, delicioso. También pedimos almejas, dos tipos de empanada (de bonito y de choco), enorme la milanesa para la niña y qué tomates con bonito y un queso gallego. Qué bueno todo. De postre frixuelos muy suaves y elegantes. Sin duda para repetir.

Ibamos con la intención de comer un arroz con bogavante y al final nos hemos decantado por el de rape y zamburiñas. Excelente elección, calidad buenísima y muy buen servicio. Repetiremos.

Hemos ido a cenar y ha sido un buen acierto el lugar. Acogedor, y un trato exquisito por parte de todos. No tengo palabras para describir el buen sabor de todos y cada uno de sus platos, estaba todo buenísimo... Nos atendieron al momento, y estuvieron pendientes de nosotros para que nos sintiésemos cómodas, a gusto y bien cenadas, y sí, lo consiguieron... Salimos muy satisfechos y prometimos volver pronto. Calidad/ precio muy bueno, porque la comida estaba increíble! Mil gracias para todos los camareros tan simpáticos y amables y en especial al cocinero Rafa, un gran profesional, siempre con una sonrisa, felicidades a todos!!

Excelente restaurante en el casco vello. Comedor reducido en la segunda planta. DESTACABLE: - Exquisito arroz de bogavante. - Leche frita deliciosa. - Atención profesional y agradable. MEJORABLE: - Precio bastante superior a la media de la zona.

Estamos de viaje en Galicia y buscabamos comer un buen pulpo de aquí, era bastante tarde y nos atendido genial pese a la hora, sin prisa y con una sonrisa. El camerero muy atento y simpático, y las otras chicas mas de lo mismo, la comida ha llegado super rápido y estaba todo espectacular, sin duda volveremos!

Superb evening at El Capitan in the center of the pedestrian area of Vigo. The restaurant has a peculiar layout: you enter through the kitchen and up on the second floor. Yes, the poor waiters go up and down for service. Speaking of service, it was impeccable from start to finish. Not too intrusive yet always on point. As for the food, we would highly recommend the Mariscada : it was very well seasoned, the way only an experienced chef can do as each seafood has different cooking times. It was delicious and we would go back just for that dish. One of the better seafood dish we have experienced in our whole trip in Spain. The fried calamari was also well executed, but did not offer any surprises either. With wine, count about 55€/person. Wow! What a great seafood restaurant in Vigo. Ate there twice , once at 9 pm and then the next day at 1:30 pm. We ate zamburiñas, vieiras, and seafood salad. This place is a gem! Attentive waiters, great chef. Great wine list.

Outstanding. Reserve if in season. Wonderful menu based on fish and meat Galician favourites. Massive selection of Rias Baixas wines typically between 15 and 30€ a bottle. Wonderful. With wine our meal was typically €40 per head including dessert wine. Located in the old town near Plaza da Constitution. Some outside tables and some on the ground floor alongside the open kitchen. More tables upstairs. Like every where in Galicia, exceptionally clean and pristine. What a proud people. Food outstanding. Only had seafood including scallops, razor clams, hake, cod. Outstanding. Very fresh and prepared. We went twice over a week. Second time had rice with seafood. Kind of a Galician paella. No saffron here. Just wine fish and the sea. Absolutely gorgeous ♥️ The staff... Friendly. Attentive. Good English too. Each time served by an amazingly fresh and energetic girl who had the most amazing smile. She remembered us and couldn't have been more welcoming. Highly recommended for food wine and service. Thank you El Capitan.

This place was recommended by our AB&B host as one of her favorites. We went tonight and were very pleased! The service was outstanding. My husband and I were greeted by a very dapper waiter who kindly asked if we needed assistance with the menu (we are very American), which was lovely as we often struggle! However, this time we'd done a little homework beforehand and knew the dish we wished to try. We had a pre-starter of what was described as "fish cakes" which was a cold light fish mixture we ate with fresh bread, very delicious! The appetizer we ordered was octopus cooked the traditional Galacian way... which is wonderful! We've had this dish a couple of times during our visit, this time was the best so far. We knew we wanted the seafood paella which was amazing! The waiter said portion was for two... but I swear I could have fed my family of 4! Hake cheeks, bay scallops and shrimp with rice... sounds so simple for the reality of such a wonderful dish! I watched my husband's eyes close as he savored this meal! Definitely a meal and service to remember! If you are in Vigo and have a love of seafood, give it a try!

Hemos ido por recomendación. En general pescado de calidad,por lo que caro. Preparad el bolsillo. Destacamos la empanada de choco espectacular, pero todo lo que hemos pedido muy rico.

Nos ha encantado. Nos lo habían recomendado y ha cumplido las expectativas. Las cocochas al pil-pil, calamares rebozados y navajas nos han encantado. El pan que nos han puesto tb nos ha flipado. Los postres: la tarta de queso muy contundente y el queso tetilla con membrillo tremendo. Luego un pacharán para bajar un poquito y cerrar la cena.

Service was super quick and friendly. We stayed on the bottom floor next to entrance, the tank and drinks. Arguably the worst table. Also had an unimpeded view to the kitchen, smells are a bit strong. We had: - Croquetas de Jamon e Choco. The squid ones were incredible - Arroz de Marinero for three, really good. Great portion as well 👌 - White wine sangria with just lemon. Simple but great - Tiramisu and Tarte de la Abuela. Great portions and quite rich 39€ per person. A bit pricey but guaranteed to be satisfied

Very good food. A little bit more expensive than other restaurants in the area, but also a bit chic. Has some tables outside which is good in good weather. Great service, quick and careful.

Good for fresh fish and seafood. Excellent produce and very good Galician empanadas (savoury stuffed bread - with sardines, cuttlefish, scallops; similar to Cornish pasties). Pulpo was also great. Service slow (a bit hit-and-miss, probably because they are so busy at weekends) and overall price was higher than other restaurants with similar quality.

We got a recommendation from a local. The fish display looked promising but the preparation was only okay. The empenadas were good, avoid the croquetas, we enjoyed the queen scallops (zamuriñas) Our waiter said it was his first day, he did well if it was. Table beside us got the biggest Dover sole I've ever seen.....food envy was served!

Es cierto que llegamos un poco tarde, y el camarero súper atento nos dijo que tendríamos que pedir de las raciones frías porque estaban cerrando la cocina. Pedimos dos medias raciones de diferentes tipos de empanadas, y no eran nada del otro mundo. Además, el precio nos pareció un poco excesivo.

En nuestro caso, sinceramente pues no volveríamos, los berberechos estaban muy buenos pero el rodaballo sabor cero, el lenguado sin más, el postre muy bueno.

We were disappointed at the food here. Dry empanada (they retoasted empanada from day before so it was dry), mediocre fish which lacked seasoning. Waiters were not locals and the owners did not even say hello or goodbye. The restaurant was very empty here while we ate 14:00-15:00. I do not recommend.

La comida es muy cara para lo que es, las raciones son pequeñas y si llueve el suelo resbala muchísimo. De todo lo que comimos lo único decente que había fue el postre (la torrija) fuimos una familia de 4 personas y a ninguno nos gustó. Gracias a dios ese día habíamos comido muy fuerte y a la hora de ir a cenar a este restaurante no teníamos mucha hambre. Recomiendo encarecidamente a personas con movilidad reducida que no acudan a este restaurante
