Fabulous food, attentive service. Depending on time of visit, parking could be an issue but we came for early dinner and it wasn't a problem. Also, they don't accept reservations, but again timing was on our side.
Crawfish is excellent! Any fish plate is great. Try the jalapeño cream soup.
The service was amazingly quick with accuracy. Food was yummy Our bartender was friendly sweet and kind
Even in the middle of lunch on a Sunday, service was incredibly quick, both in being tabled and having the food delivered. I had their 'fish and chips'. Even before I started eating it I already loved it, their use of aromatics was phenomenal, the fish just smelled like freshly poured Shiner Bock. The flavour wasn't overwhelming, it was very obviously a beer battered fish, and not with cheap watered beer, but wasn't too wet, even my last bites of the fish saw the crust dry snf crispy. And the beer taste never overwhelmed the fish itself which was absolutely perfectly cooked as well. The waffle cut fries were amazing as well. It was undoubtedly a 'basket' of fries, a few burned bits, a few 'ugly' ones, but not enough to detract that they were cooked and seasoned fantastically, the only thing I could complain about was there being enough of them that the last ones started to cool and loose that 'fresh fry' flavor before I could finish them. The hush puppies however somehow stole the show. Crispy, airy, and a pleasant kick of seasoning that lasted long after the puppies themselves. Somehow, this touristy rather plain restaurant had some of the best fish and chips I've had outside of the New England coast, and their hush puppies were the best I've ever had period.
Crab cake and jalapeño hush puppies were great appetizers. Salmon was a little dry but still good. Red beans a side is recommended.
Food was fresh and delicious, drinks made great, only knock is that the service wasn't the best. Not that it was bad, food came out quick, hot, and tasted great, just not very personable.
We came on a late Monday night for our anniversary and brought the kids along (preteen & infant). I really wanted oysters & I saw this place had good reviews. We got there at around 8pm which ended up working out because it wasn’t busy at all. The restaurant itself has a casual atmosphere & I was satisfied with my order of calamari & oysters. We had a good time & everyone enjoyed their food. The cost is reasonable for a seafood restaurant & not too expensive. It was about $75 for my family of 3 not including tip, mind you I ordered a dozen oysters at market value so I liked the price lol. The young blonde waitress was great too. She kept checking on us & made sure we enjoyed our food. Great customer service & place was clean. I would definitely come back for more oysters in the future & it’s good to know I can bring the kids with me too… or not 😂
This area is extremely busy on the weekends so I thought it would be ideal to visit on a Friday for lunch. The place was moderately busy but there was no wait. Front and free parking or 1 block away free parking is also available. Nice establishment, good music and the tables were cleaned and tended to quickly. Service is friendly and efficient (John was our waiter). Food was good too. Shrimp & chips platter came with 12 shrimps, however the fish 'tacos' was wrapped instead of folded but it didn't discourage it just provided more filling than a taco. Thank you!
The food was outstanding, the prices were reasonable, and our server was amazing. Our large group had everything from popcorn shrimp, coconut shrimp, catfish, and crawfish and there were no complaints.
Love Big Fish! Lots of variety on the menu, from fried to fresh. Fried, grilled l, and stramed options. Reasonable prices and great service. They're hush puppies are some of my favorite. The black and red fish is good and love the boiled platter with shrimp crab legs and potatoes. The atmosphere is extremely casual. The restaurant is a little small and can be a little crowded at times. Some of the chairs are not always comfortable. I go regularly and highly recommend
Me and my gf were out in grapevine and was craving seafood, I found this place on google! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It literally took them no time to bring out the food and drinks, the food was good and hot. I ordered the fried crawfish and crispy Waffle fries and I must say the fries were as described. Well seasoned and crispy, the fried crawfish was good and flavorful and they weren’t stingy on the serving. We also ordered calamari as the appetizer it came with marinara sauce and Thai chili. I preferred the Thai chili with it. I think it was a appetizing place and overall a great choice. I’ll definitely be returning in the future.
This place is my wife and I's favorite seafood joint! We drive for over an hour just to eat here. The beach party platter is a favorite of ours since we love love love their crablegs. The andoullie sausage, shrimp and taters that come with it are amazing as well. That beach party latter is enough food for 2 or 3 people so if you order it make sure you came in hungry and I mean HUNGRY! This trip I ordered the crawfish platter, they were absolutely delicious, it's just now crawfish season and I got a platter of some big boys!! I ordered 3 pounds and finished it off, I thought I'd be taking some home but they were so good I couldn't stop eating them. The seasoning they use is absolutely delicious! We love Big Fish so as long as they are in business we will be customers. The server we had was amazing, very personable and cracked jokes with us while we were there, just awesome. I think her name is Allison? I can't remember, I wish I could, she is awesome. My wife got a bloody mary which she exclaimed is amazing. The food here is fantastic, the service is great, the atmosphere is so chill, I totally recommend paying them a visit. They have live music on Saturdays and Tuesdays I think plus they have specials on the big chalk board every day, very good deals and tons of food on every dish so like I said, come HUNGRY.
The food was amazing as was the service. They also had a live show going on with music. Me and the wife settled for the steamed crab platter that had five clusters of crab corn, shrimp, sausage and potatoes. In the crab was cooked to perfection.
This is a small little place but with a lot to offer! Was greeted and seated as soon as we walked in, and the server was extremely courteous. The food came out very fast and the server checked up on us frequently which was nice. The prices weren't too crazy and the summer specials looked amazing! Definitely plan on coming back to try out more dishes!
Big Fish Restaurant is hands down the best seafood spot in town! The staff was absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel special from start to finish. The seafood is incredibly fresh and flavorful, easily the best I’ve had around here. If you’re craving great food and outstanding service, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!
Had an amazing experience here! The seafood was incredibly fresh and cooked perfectly, every dish was full of flavor. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere made it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Definitely one of the best seafood places I’ve been to, and I’ll be coming back again soon!
Great spot in the great of old town Grapevine. Fun atmosphere and prompt & friendly service. Try the oysters-very reasonably priced. Gumbo is excellent. Shrimp and catfish are wonderful as well. Grab the crab cakes. Lots of fried options and plenty of sides to choose from. Fun bar area with great bartenders. Can be a wait but with the restaurant on the west side you’re in the shade and can enjoy a beverage and watch the excitement of Main Street on the benches.
We enjoyed the crawfish and shrimp po boy!!! I wasn’t necessarily the biggest fan of the appetizer crab cakes but my husband seemed to like them. We will definitely be back to try more things on the menu bc it all looked so yummy!!!
Stopped in to get some Crawfish to go. I was greeted at the door and headed to the bar to place my order. I was greeted right away and placed my order. Minutes later I was on my way with what turned out to be some amazing Crawfish.
Big Fish in Grapevine was a great choice for our party of four. The crawfish was a really good size, super fresh, and cooked perfectly. Everything came out hot and flavorful, and the service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area!
First off, loved the down town atmosphere, the Christmas lights were still on. Now to the restaurant. Their Lobster Bisque was one of the best, if not the best we've had, and we have been to most of the shores and have tried a lot. We had the fried shrimp and oysters, they were very good as well. Our waiter was top notch. We will be going back very soon!!
The best seafood spot in Grapevine! The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Love the fried fish sandwich with the hush puppies. Additionally, they have excellent options for those who do not like seafood. Big Fish also embodies that Grapevine vibe. So if you want some wonderful seafood and the flavor of Grapevine culture, check this place out!
My family had an excellent, excellent experience dining tonight at Big Fish. Its our first time here, entering sight unseen. The location is perfect, on Main Street Grapevine. We enjoyed no wait despite it being Saturday night during the local Christmas fest. Our waiter was pleasant and warm and made us feel totally at home. My son had the fried seafood combo. My wife had the fish and chips, and I had their crab-stuffed flounder from the daily special menu. We also shared some gumbo. Everything was fresh and delicious! The mashed potatoes and broccoli slaw are the sides we reccomend. Prices were very reasonable, for seafood. We look forward to our next visit!
On a busy Saturday evening I was seated quickly, promptly served, and the food was excellent and fast. Crab cakes had a perfect ratio of breadcrumbs, they have a very meat only heavy cake, which is my preference. Highly recommend the seasonal Blackberry Mule, it wasn't sweet but very balanced.
🔥 Crawfish Lovers, Listen Up! 🔥 If you’re in the DFW area and haven’t been to Big Fish in Grapevine, Texas, you’re seriously missing out. Great seafood selection, price was reasonable and the food was really good. The service was above average! Wonderful atmosphere and superb clam chowder!
Excellent meals. I tried the gumbo with andouie sausage and the shrimp basket. My daughter had the keto-friendly red fish and salad. Very authentic take on NO style food, the andouie sausage was firm, flavorful with just enough spicy kick. Fried shrimp was tasty... The French fries could have been crisper but this might be a regional style in Texas. The favorite was the red fish, cooked perfectly, and the veggies with sauce /house dressing (?). Fast service too! Great visit, Im looking forward to another visit.
We had calamari as an appetizer. I ordered the pasta of the day, and my husband ordered the crawfish boil. My daughter had the chicken strip kids meal. Service was great! The food was delicious, my husband said the crawfish boil had a little bit too much salt but overall it was awesome and we would come again.
The food was OK and my peach margarita was good, but the service was really good which is why I gave them 4 stars. I had a cup of gumbo and the fried seafood combo. The fish was fried too hard for my liking and the "mixed" veggies only consisted of zucchini. The hush puppies were good. The gumbo was average to me being I'm from NOLA, but would be good to others. The most disappointing thing was the bread pudding. It and the sauce wasn't sweet enough. It needs tweaking. Overall, I would come back and try other menu items and do another review.
The food was good; the band playing that night was a nice touch we didn’t expect; service was good. When I asked about food intolerances (garlic/onion), the waitress was not that familiar with whether the items in the menu contained them or not.
Big Fish Seafood Grill is nestled along Main St. in historic Grapevine, TX. This place has become very popular over time...I had to wait over an hour to get a table. I realize I could have gone elsewhere for dinner, but I had my heart set on eating here. The taste of my shrimp cocktail was okay, but it was served to me very warm. Not sure if that is normal. The crab cakes were dry and lacked in flavor...could have used some onion & bell peppers in the mix, or perhaps a little seasoning.
Great portions and good service. I ordered the crab platter while my wife ordered the crab cake dinner. The snow crab is nothing to rave about but it was cooked very well. The andouille sausage was a bit dry and wasn’t as spicy as I had hoped. The crab cakes were pretty large and surprisingly not dry as a lot of other restaurants make. My wife could barely finish one so we took the rest home as leftovers for the next day. If you’re looking for a decent seafood spot in downtown Grapevine, this is a place you should consider.
Big Fish is a downtown Grapevine classic spot for lunch or dinner. I’ve visited here many times, mainly for lunch and it is always enjoyable food and service, however sometimes the food just seems to lack the pop of “flavor” it needs, especially with the sides. Almost all the sides are served so bland with no salt/pepper on the table to at least add something to flavor it up. The most recent visit I ordered a crab seafood platter. The crab was excellent, but the rest of the items like corn, potatoes, and shrimp were just SO BLAND. Please use more seafood seasoning when boiling or provide an option to add spice. One great thing I recommend when visiting is checking out their chalk board that features daily special items which are great. I regularly see menu items such as blackened redfish with crawfish cream sauce, jumbo scallops, and other in-season items. Also, if you like fried pickles Big Fish makes THE BEST.
A quaint seafood place in a town with that old fashioned feeling. Really enjoyed finishing our plates of fish, crab legs, shrimp and more! Service was on time and greeted us to a table by the window. I would like to see the specials / menu to be more visible from all angles and more attention to cleanliness of the floors, corners, etc. Wish I could go again.
The atmosphere and the service was great!!! It was such a fun vibe and I would love to go back when they have their live music. I ordered the crawfish and it was pretty dang good, I think it could've been cooked a little longer and the seasoning was lacking something... Lemon or butter? Not sure entirely. The fries were super good as well!! The only con was I wish I had some wet wipes to go with my crawfish, y'all know how messy that can get!! Altogether, a great experience.
Great food! I had the fish & chips because that's what I like! I got called away for a phone call and had to take it to go. Even still, the food didn't disappoint, and the server just handle the change in stride. No drama.
We visited for lunch on a Thursday and it was pretty busy. We had to leave our stroller at the front since we were sat in an area accessible by a couple of stair steps. There is very limited parking so we had to park a couple blocks over and walk. They do not have smoking inside like some of the other restaurants in the area. The service was prompt and courteous. We ordered the Fried Calamari but it ended up arriving after the meal arrived but it was still very tasty and well cooked. I got the Fish and Chips which was delicious! My partner got the combination dinner of catfish and shrimp, they were out of Oysters which was an option to add. I had a non-alcoholic Heineken and it was a bit on the warm side, even with the cold glass, it didn't really help much. Overall we had a good experience and the food was very tasty. Would definitely try it out again.
First time here. Was in the area a nd looking for a seafood spot. Mark was really nice. He explained the specials they had. We decided on the popcorn shrimp for appetizer. The lemon pepper salmon with rice and mash potatoes. The red fish with red beans and rice with mash potatoes. Everything was good and came out fast and hot, but my rice was cold. They do have a bar. We might go back to try different items.
My husband ordered fried oysters and 2 pounds of boiled crawfish. He said they were both very good. (5 stars) I ordered a dinner salad and blackened catfish with veggies. The salad was unremarkable. The catfish, while tasty, was overcooked and dry. My meal was gluten-free and dairy-free. (3 stars) The service was very good - friendly, helpful, and reasonably attentive. I would not go out of my way to eat here, but if you're in the neighborhood, it's an OK place to eat. Recommended mostly for the crawfish (in season).
A good casual seafood spot in the middle of Main Street, more so when it's not struggling to handle a ton of people. Compared to similar restaurants on the street, it doesn't stand out much, but walking in immediately gives you that old-school, all wooden charm of a storied Gulf Coast establishment. We came during the city Christmas event, and they were doing their best to handle the masses with what felt like a skeleton crew...it felt like only 2 people were serving the entire floor, with bussers and cleaners flipping tables like a NASCAR out crew. When we finally got a table, it was a solid 10 minutes before a server came by, but he was in good spirits, and thanked us for being patient. My clam chowder looked a little empty, but had plenty of flavor. The catfish came out golden brown, yet tender enough that my toddler devoured it. Honestly worth a visit on a regular day, when all of DFW isn't on Main.
Located on Historic Main St. in Grapevine, Big Fish offers a great variety of seafood in a fun, seaworthy atmosphere that almost makes you feel oceanside. We had the fried shrimp and fish baskets with waffle fries — everything was cooked perfectly, served hot, and with a smile. To finish, we shared the bread pudding, and wow — what a treat! A generous portion topped with Whiskey Cream Sauce that paired beautifully and gave it a smooth, rich finish. We left full, happy, and energized. Good food, great service, and fair prices. Definitely a keeper!
Great first time here. Food was delicious and plentiful. It was busy and had to wait, had to wait for service a bit all night but maybe 1 extra person busy days could help customers needs. There's a lot of seats in a narrow restaurant, so you may feel a little squeeze or in the way.

my wife and I and my daughter and son in law wanted good seafood because we are from Maine, and we found it. I got the crab legs special, they were sweet and tender, with plenty of butter
I stopped by for a catfish takeout dinner. The service was quick & the food was good. The bar waitress was very friendly & attentive. Had to use the restroom which needed attention.
As someone who used to live in New Orleans I was disappointed. The seafood combination was much smaller than anything I received in New Orleans, it came to me luke warm, and the batter kept falling off the catfish. The highlight of my plate was the red beans and rice which were good but not great, relying on a lot of salt for flavor. My wife enjoyed her fish and chips and said it was pretty good. Another disappointment was they ran out of their seasonal beer making their small draft list even smaller, from approximately 5 beers to 4. Where’s the Abita by the way? This place is cashing in on the Cajun name without coming anywhere close to what you would find in Louisiana. Our waiter was very nice and prompt, thanks Emily!
Nice tiny little place. Easy to spot when driving. All you can eat deal is good. The seafood chowder however, was amazing and shouldn't be missed. The kids get their own set meals and this time, since they were out of salmon, I tried the cod 'n chips which was good too. The place was relatively clean and maintained rather nicely. The service was beyond par! The people were extremely very friendly and I loved the big windows to look out of.
Food was good. The fried shrimp were pretty puny, fried catfish was very good, the crust was crispy and had good flavor and was not greasy. Gumbo was good, beans and food as well.
Three stars solely because of the hostess. I had fresh oysters and catfish. I must say this was some of the most fresh oysters I’ve ever had. The fish was decent as well. This was my first time eating here. I advised the hosts of this when I walked in and she didn’t even respond, completely ignored me and sat me down to get back to her conversation. I was so pleased with the oysters I actually went back the next day. I greeted the same hostess and said, “I’m back” with a smile and AGAIN she completely ignored me and just sat me down. I was going to order but I was so bothered by how the host treated me that I decided not to order and left. I’m not sure what her problem was. I try not to run to the skin color card. However I could definitely assume that was the problem.
The seafoods great, but im not a seafood guy, so I tried a burger (which I knew wasn't really their thing), wasn't super impressed. GF had seafood which was good, so get seafood lol. I found the atmosphere slightly disappointing, but I think we went on a off night.
Overall I was underwhelmed. Food and service were expensive for what we received. I would rate it as just okay. Starting with the good. Boiled crawdads we're good (4 star), catfish po boy was 3.5 star, first time trying gumbo and I would not get it again (2.5 star, it was quite salty). Restaurant, menus, restroom, etc feel like they need a good cleaning. When asked what is popular/recommended, the older gentleman waiter said "everything" and initially wouldn't provide a recommendation on top items. After some discussion about this being the only meal I'll likely ever eat there, he reluctantly named on dish (redfish).
The place it’s in historic Main Street so it’s pretty conveniently located. The atmosphere it’s enjoyable and the have a full bar. Our waitress was very polite (but she was super busy with two big tables, no one else to help her). They have wine, beer, special cocktails, and regular drinks. They have specials, and seafood it’s really fresh and appetizing, a bit not the bland side, but it was really good. 5 starts though for the shrimp cocktail, it was delicious! Prices are ok,We were 5 and paid about $35 per person. The deal breaker for me was the hostess, seem pretty young, and it was rude to us after more than an hour waiting for our table. The table was empty but the did not have enough waitresses to attend them. The place was pack, and with the cold weather to wait outside, and they don’t take reservations. bathrooms it’s only one for man and one for woman, for the size of the restaurant you would imagine it will be more, there was a line the two times I went in. I personally didn’t like the bread pudding it wasn’t appealing, but I am very critical of dessert, so maybe judge by yourself. If you are around and waiting to try good seafood it’s a good place. If you go on a crowed night embrace yourself.
I was in the area and decided to stop by and have some lunch. It’s a cute, small restaurant that wasn’t too busy. I ordered the shrimp and crawfish etouffee - it was a decent portion size but there wasn’t any flavor at all so it was mediocre. Husband order the shrimp and crawfish pasta- now this plate was really good. Service was not good at all. Never received a refill and the waitress was nowhere to be found. Pretty disappointing. Side note: the toilets don’t flush.
I have to be honest the serving sizes were very small here for the price. The host staff was very slow to seat, even though there were open seats. The wait staff and the bartenders were fantastic. Overall, the food was average at best. Would not recommend unless you’re only gonna sit at the bar and you were only gonna eat appetizers and drink
I’m sure this place has better dishes, I just happened to stumble on the ones that weren’t for me. Had the popcorn shrimp and crab cake dinner. For the shrimp, I know vein/deveined shrimp are a personal preference, and mine is definitely deveined. The grittiness is like finding bits of sand in every bite. The ones without the digestive tract were okay with the sauce. The crab cakes were okay. They do not look appealing and felt more like a crab flavored pancake. I wouldn’t order them again. The most flavorful thing in the plate was the rice.

I had the crab cakes with rice, pilaf, and vegetables. The crab cakes were very thick and not tasty at all. They tasted as if the grill they had been cooked on needed cleaning. The vegetables were tasteless. The rice pilaf tasted as if it had been cooked in fish broth. I could not eat much of it. Very disappointing.
Crab cakes had absolutely no sign of crab. Just yellow mush! Rice was gummy. Terrible meal!
Service was ok, but the food left much to be desired. My blacked tilapia was overcooked to the point of being crunchy and had very little flavor. My wife had the stuffed flounder with creole sauce. First there was hardy any sausage, and second she said it was so bland that she had to salt and pepper it to give it any flavor.
The fried pickles are great! Batter is perfect. Perfect crisp. Good ranch. The "Louisiana Style Gumbo" is NOT good and not Louisiana style. I couldn't even finish it and ended up throwing it away. The shrimp and the chicken are overcooked, it has no flavor/seasoning, and it is very VERY bland. It looked and tasted more like a brown gravy packet than a Louisiana styled roux. The clam chowder is okay. It was super thick though almost like a pudding and barely had any clam and potatoes in it.
We came here to celebrate and we're very disappointed. We learned that being the only seafood place around you're bound to receive good reviews. We decided to visit here after reading the reviews. To start off, the calamari was overcooked. Very tough, greasy and unseasoned. The po boy was nothing to talk about. Again, greasy and unseasoned And a lot of bread. The crab cakes were a disappointment and the vegetables were unseasoned. When we asked for a replacement and vegetables the second order came to us uncooked and still unseasoned. The honest best thing was the new England clam chowder. We should have only ordered that, it was great! Overall do not waste your money here definitely not worth the price we should have went to Pappadeaux's.
We ordered fish tacos, fried oysters, two types of poboys, swordfish special. Other than the shrimp in the swordfish special, everything was totally bland and had no flavor. Drinks were worse-all three drinks tasted like water and could not taste any alcohol. We told the waitress who went and discussed with the manager and then came back offering to replace the drinks or add a shot to the existing ones, so we opted for the latter so as not waste what was made. However, we were charged for the shots in the final bill and upon questioning, the manager came to tell us, not in a polite or nice way, that he is the bartender and drinks were not watery, and they will charge for extra shots! We further explained how the two choices were presented to us for fixing the drinks and nothing was said about charging extra, thereafter he agreed to take off the charges while implying that he was doing a big favor. Poor experience and poor food, esp. disappointing as we brought relatives who are visiting only for two days and there are so many amazing restaurants to choose from!
Wow, how the mighty hath fallen. Orderd. Margarita on the rocks, for $13 you can use a homemade Margarita mix, and not a neon green College house party stuff. Calamari, salty and a watered down marinada sauce. Gumbo tasted burnt, like bottom of the pot burnt. Crab cake where actually pan cakes with crab. Flour is supposed to be used as a binder not the main ingredient. Hush puppies were okay. Red beans and rice, tasteless. So disappointed.
Dissapointed. We stayed at GWL and decided to go out for dinner. We ordered buffalo shrimp(good), Caesar salad(dressing had no flavor), redfish(very dry and lacked seasoning even with cream sauce) with potatoes, under cooked vegetable melody blackened catfish po boy and fried catfish with waffle fries. Decided to give the dessert a shot because it looked so good online. It came out looking great, but the sauce and cake just lacked taste. Just wasnt worth it.
I was hoping for some good seafood, but my first visit to Big Fish Seafood Grill & Bar didn’t quite live up to expectations. When I walked in, three servers were gathered at a table joking around, even though the restaurant was fairly busy. They eventually came over and seated me, but the first impression wasn’t great. The booth itself was also uncomfortable — the seat cushion felt worn out, like the spring inside had given up years ago. Since it was my first time here, I asked a few questions about the menu. My server was friendly and helpful, so I decided on the catfish and shrimp plate. Before ordering, I asked if it was enough food for an average adult, and she assured me the catfish fillet was “pretty large.” Unfortunately, when it arrived, the portion was incredibly small — so small that even my server admitted it was unusually tiny and offered to “take care of it.” A few minutes later, she brought out another fillet, which was a normal portion and much better. The problem came when the bill arrived: “taking care of it” apparently meant charging me an extra seven dollars for the second fillet. I didn’t expect to be billed extra for what was clearly a kitchen mistake, especially after the server acknowledged the issue herself. The food itself tasted fine, and the shrimp and catfish were cooked well enough. But the experience left me disappointed. I never saw a manager during my visit, and the overall operation felt a bit unorganized — almost like a group of teenagers were running the place at their own pace. Hopefully, my visit was just an off night, and others have better luck.
The atmosphere was fantastic! The appetizer was delicious along with the sauce as well. I LOVED the drinks as well along with the live music. The only thing I dislike was my meal. It was lacking Spicy Nashville chicken sandwich I had a taste and the mashed potatoes were too dry. Not creamy at all. Even if I was to minus the spice on the chicken sandwich, it lacked a lot of sauce in my opinion. The sever however was great and VERY attentive. I may go back and just try something different.

This was seriously one of the worst meals I've had in a really long time. The oysters were giant, bloated, chewy messes with no briny taste at all, and the crab cakes had absolutely no crab. We l…
Exceptional horrible customer service! A plate full of grease, watery mash, and bland broccoli salad! Was ignored several times before I was seated! In fact, I had to ask twice before I was. My waitress was the same one who watched me stand at the podium waiting for seating. Never addressed me to ask if I had been waited on. Never stopped by my table once my food was delivered to ask how my food came out. I only drove to the restaurant because I was informed over the phone (when I called to inquire) that they served “Roughy!” So I left one restaurant to dine here! Grapevine apparently was not my best decision in stopping to get a bite to eat! Obviously it lacks diversity… My plate was left full. Took a few bites hoping it would eventually appeal to my palette! NOPE! So, it was a meal and stop waisted!
If you're looking for a great place to get seafood, this ain't the place. We ordered the seafood combo with catfish, shrimp, and oysters with garlic mashed potatoes and hush puppies. FLAVORLESS is an understatement! The hush puppies were not cooked, the fish was thin and greasy, nthe supposed to be fried oysters were half battered and not seasoned. Our waitress was not friendly and the table we had, the top moved like a Merry go round. That was my first and my last time eating there.
Terrible service! Took 15 minutes to get a sweet tea. The food was bland, expensive, and a minuscule meal compared to the price. I would have rather eaten $.15 food in Bangladesh than go here to eat again.
My experience here was laughable. First and foremost the oysters were not kept to temperature when I bit into them it was warm in the middle. After spitting them out our waitress came took them apologizing.. Frustrating, but I was still happy at this point. I decided to order the shrimp and crab “Cajun” boil…….. When she brought it out and I saw what I was working with I was highly disappointed. It was crab and shrimp boiled in plain water. PLAIN WATER. I cannot make this up. Cooked in Absolutely ZERO seasoning. When asked if this was cooked in plain water. The waitress looked so serious “ yes ma’am, we just boil it in water. I can bring you garlic” she proceeds to go in the back and comes back with garlic.. it’s Powder! 🤦🏻♀️ the shrimp were very over cooked and the andouille sausage that was in the mixture was shaven into the tiniest slivers so that too was well over cooked. At this point we just laughed and ate what we could of the mixture. Then left and went to the Tavern at lakeside and enjoyed a meal.
Just DON’T. Shrimp looked about the size of bait and just as appetizing. Shrimp was VERY limp and tasted slimy. I didn’t eat it . Service was definitely lacking. Had to ask for ice because I was brought a glass of ICED tea that had had no ice. Asked for extra lemon with shrimp, never got it. Had to ask for sweetener for tea, extra napkins, tea refills. I was exhausted from constantly having to locate a waitress. Clearly our waitress was unable to multitask or anticipate what a diner may need. My shrimp were barely warm. Husbands fries were tepid at best. This is the last time we will dine here. It used to be very good, great wait staff and fresh seafood. This is the second time we’ve been “bit”. We won’t be back. Long John Silvers has better quality shrimp than this place is serving. There were TWO previous checks left by the two diners before we sat down! Why aren’t these picked up before new diners sit down?
Stopped in because of the sign outside advertising To-Go Christmas cocktails. No separate area inside to facilitate this service- and the bartender was less than thrilled to be serving these ToGo Drinks- even said "I wish they'd throw that sign outside in the trash". Doesn't really add to the Christmas spirit that I'm assuming you're trying to create by advertising outside. The $50 I paid for 3 to go drinks in a plastic plain cup were not good. Tasted like straight alcohol- and I was looking for something festive as I ordered Cranberry Martini's and a cranberry marg. Ended up throwing them in the trash unfortunately - and that was hard to do after spending $50. I'm assuming the bartender was hoping we would not come back for more. :(
I was extremely excited about trying this establishment. Unfortunately it was a MAJOR let down. My husband will eat just about anything or at least I thought he would. Nope! I ordered fries oysters and red beans and rice with a plate of veggies. I literally wanted to throw the whole plate in the trash. My husband ordered fried catfish, oyters, and shrimp and he looked at me with that honey what did I just do look. He was not happy. He hardly ever complains about food. He definitely complained about this. The service was outstanding and I love the atmosphere.
The staff is here is awful. Paul the waiter and a couple other waitresses are phenomenal. I usually come here once a week or every other week. I get off work relatively late and head there right after work. I was told that just as long as im there 30 minutes before closing I will be served. This is now the third time they've turned me away when I've been there well before the 30 minute mark. I've tipped Paul $150 on a $120 tab and I usually tip the waitresses 30-35%. So unfortunate that I will not be coming back to this restaurant again.
Didn't get to eat at all. Asked hostess for a booth and she said all full so sat us at a table in front of door. It was a blustery night and it was cold outside so every time the door open we got blasted. As we sat, we saw an open booth and the next couple after us got it! Then another couple left another booth and we asked for it. Said we had to ask server to change. Server came over and he was very gracious and he said he'll take care of it and get it cleared. Shortly after he left another couple came in and the hosted seated them in that spot. Just get rid of the hostess. We then just left and went to Jake's down the street and their food was great. We typically eat at Big Fish once a month and enjoy the food but that experience just turned us off. For reference it was the night of January 16th 2026.
