Avis sur Daddy Pizza S. Pietro
The best pizza in Venice! We tried the pepperoni, margarita & cheese pizza slices and all 3 were delicious. Big Daddy recently merged with Banh Mi next door so we also got a couple of boba teas and a slushee! 3 minute walk to the beach where we enjoyed our pizza and drinks. Really hits the spot. Highly recommended. Please support your local businesses!
My boyfriend and I had lunch at this place and everything we ordered was very delicious! The 2 slices were much bigger than we were expecting and each one was about 7 bucks 🤩 We also ordered the Saigon Pork Belly Banh Mi which was absolutely tasty and very spicy so keep in mind if you don’t handle heat very well. (not pictured because we devoured it as soon as it hit the table lol) We also ordered some lemonades. We spent about $55 total.
I’m allergic to gluten and soy and unfortunately they had no options for me but my husband was able to get a slice of pizza and he really enjoyed it.
Hugh slices of pizza and super yummy. Sorry for so happy forgot to take pic of food.

Had a slice of piping hot pepperoni pizza. It was great! The guy working the register was polite and said a very heartfelt thanks for the tip. I'd definitely go again. It's a bit expensive, but what do you expect next to the beach?
Pizza is the one thing you can basically find anywhere, but good pizza? Now that's a little tougher. Everyone has their favorite type. I so happen to like the thinner pizza with the thick crust, which Big Daddy has (did this sound a little weird to you too?). Anyway, I'm in love with the pepperoni and margherita pizza here. I highly recommend! I tried the veggie and I wasn't a fan of the asparagus on the pizza. Also, try something cool--Get the Heaven Breathe treat and experience smoke coming out of your mouth while eating some giant size Trix looking cereal. There are other food options there aside from pizza. Very, very good!
I went here on chance my first night in Venice -- hungry and looking for something easy and fast. I got a fish taco. I ate it on the beach. It was so good, I went back and got another. Very crispy and fresh, corn meal crusted fish, well seasoned with the right amount of slaw and sauce and soft, corn tortillas. I am from NYC, I lived in Mexico, and I can tell you these tacos are mighty fine and I had one each day that I was in Venice. I am coming back to LA next week and you better believe I will be getting my Big Daddy fix. I can't quite put a finger on what makes them special... but why question a good thing? You know it's a real find when you're standing in line with surfers and skateboarders!
To those not intimately familiar with the Venice boardwalk, there are probably about 70 different spots to grab food. Most all of it is mediocre, carnival-level grub that can fill you up, but is rarely ever anything to remember. Big Daddy's is the standout. The food is downright excellent. Now when I say 'excellent', I'm putting things in perspective for what it is. This is not a 5-star restaurant and isn't pretending to be. It's a funky food stand in funky Venice that manages to do what it does better than anyone else. They have a fat ton of offerings on the menu, burgers, Mexican, pizza, even some crazy stuff like whole turkey drumsticks. All of it is disproportionately large for the reasonable price you're paying and is shockingly good for a food stand. The pizza in particular is better than most restaurant pizza and to me, blows away CPK. The veggie burrito is the bomb and isn't your normal lettuce-filled ripoff that leaves you hungry 10 min. later. The fish and chips are actually two breaded filets, not pre-fabbed sticks. If you go on a sunny afternoon, be prepared to wait as most locals know that this is the best spot on the 'walk and worth waiting in line for.

No Decor, it's a Food Window type place. First time there last night. They were closing, but still let me order. Sausage Corn Dog was AWESOME ! Deep Fried Oreo (fritter thing), was HEAVEN. Get Many to go... FANTASTIC ! also: They mistakenly got our order ticket in late, but COMPLETELY MADE it UP TO US, with SUPER Customer Care - didn't expect it! Great and Friendly Staff. Enjoy !
Walking Venice Beach, it seems like all the ticky-tacky stores have the "BEST (insert product here)". As a New Yorker, when a place brags the best pizza on Venice Beach, I take that statement with a grain of salt. As we approached and took notice of the line packed with local skateboarders (the park's right nearby) and eclectic residents, we reconsidered and decided to try a slice here. My friend and I opted for the plain pizza...priced at $2.50, it's cheaper than most other places on the boardwalk. You can up the ante and get your slice battered and fried for $0.50 more, which is what we both did. Despite the seemingly dry looking exterior, a bite gave way to gooey awesomeness tucked beneath that top battered layer. I'd liken the experience to chewing on a flat mozzarella stick that's already got the dipping sauce included. It's no New York slice, but Big Daddy & Sons is damn close, and the fried pizza is definitely worth an experience. Be prepared to do some more walking to burn it all off afterwards though :)

I've only had pizza here. Just regular pizza. It's fine. Not the best, not at all bad. I kinda want to try their fried pizza but wow - fried pizza that doesn't sound healthy :o Service when you order & pay is fine. You get a token or laminated ticket and are told to wait at the pick up windows around the corner. Sometimes there's an odd crowd hanging around. Locals, homeless locals, German tourists - it's an interesting wait.
Great staff, ok pizza, go to Ciscos if you want 4 star pizza. The oven at this places sucks and its not the staffs fault.

I got a slice of meat pizza. It felt like it was an already made margarita pizza with ingredients added and reheated again in the oven. Pizza slice was spicy which I don't like and didn't ask for. The dough was too salty. Like everything about this place is such a turn off but it was 9pm and I was hungry. Will never visit this place again

100% Disappointed. The only thing we enjoyed was the pizza crust. Our mozzarella sticks had some watery substance that didn’t even look or taste like cheese and our sodas were warm. Spent over $60 for five slices, mozzarella sticks and 3 cans of soda that nobody ate or drank.
I ordered margarita pizza and Um idk what I got. I’m just gonna let the pic speak for itself
Price is okay. The pizza is not that great. Our pizza slices were so bland and semi-cold. Not recommended.

I was hungry at the beach and saw a sign for NYC pizza by the slice, what's not to love, right? You order on one side and pick it up from a window on the other. A quick glance at the menu revealed they had a fat ton of offerings on the menu, burgers, Mexican, pizza, even some crazy stuff like whole turkey drumsticks (that should of been a huge red flag). I went with a few slices, the pizza didn't look that appetizing but I was hungry, so I scarfed it down. The best comparison I could make is the type of pizza you'd get at a carnival. I wouldn't visit here again, there is a lot better places in Venice for a quick bite to eat.
NOT 100% VEGAN LIKE WEBSITE SAYS. After eating there for a few months and always getting vegan bbq chicken pizza i thought tonight would be no different - i was wrong. I even checked the website to double check and their website said 100% vegan. After ordering a full bbq chicken pizza we realized after eating it that it was not actually vegan. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IT IS NOT VEGAN. my gf has severe dairy allergies and I am vegan and so it made us sick.
Ordered a cheese slice of pizza. Took 15 minutes to come. When i got it the entire slice was like it was reheated in a microwave and had been sitting a few days prior. Cheese was not fresh. Dough was not fresh. It was exactly like a under cooked thin crust frozen pizza. And the nerve. I paid 7 dollers for it. Visiting from canada after the conversion it was about 10 dollars. You guys need to be shut down. It takes a real moron to ruin a cheese slice.....
Tasty pizza but with all the tv's you have displaying useless menus and promotions is it too much to ask to have one of those tv's above the pick up window displaying the name of each customer instead of yelling it repeatedly. ... waiting 30 minutes for a slice of pizza isn't something that'll have me running back here. ...the employee I asked about my order had an unacceptable excuse of "I just got here..." if u just got to work would it hurt to ask your co-workers to follow-up on the order...I mean, really...customer service is inadequate here
