Found this spot by sheer luck, I’ve been three times now and I would highly recommend going. The portion sizes are great, it’s been well seasoned every time, the fish tastes amazing with the prawns still being sweet, and the breading is perfectly flaky. The owner and staff are always incredibly polite. It’s been consistent every time I’ve gone so I feel very confident giving this place 5 stars.

My husband and I decided to try this place today and it was amazing! I had the teriyaki bowl and he had the fish and chips both were perfect. They also had a good variety of fountain drinks, the tea was very good. The atmosphere was perfect a very cute environment. The wonderful people who helped us were the sweetest and provided the best service I've ever had.

Seriously some of the best fish and chips I've ever had... we just happened to be in the area a few weeks ago and decided to check it out. It is now our restaurant of choice for seafood. Plus their tarter sauce is to die for!

Ocean Fish & Chips is a historic fish & chips spot serving the Sacramento community for 20+ years. I’ll say that it is one of the best and most consistent fish & chips spots in Sacramento. The fish is big, light, crispy, and perfect with the AYCE tartar sauce. You do not have to pay for extra Tatar sauce, which is quite rare for most fish and chips spots. You get your own squeeze bottle. The actual fish is a little underseasoned but that’s okay sometimes and dipping in the tartar sauce fixes that. 3 piece fish and chips feeds more than enough for 2 people. Crab cakes are frozen but very consistent and never disappoint. It’s salty, crispy, and has a strong crab flavoring. The chowder tasted homemade and tasted like average consistent chowder.

THE BEST FISH & CHIPS RESTAURANT IN SACRAMENTO! 100% AWESOME! Holy moly, I freaking LOVE this place! The owners and all of the employees are nice and just cool! Their place is always clean, food is always spot-on, their homemade tartar sauce is perfectly addictive and I get a craving every week or so for the Ocean and we just have to go! Give this place a shot, even their new bags have little holes punched in the bottom so the food doesn't get all soggy on the trip home. Locally owned and operated, so that's a huge plus!!!

Great place, and hits the chowder craving. Simple soup nothing too fancy like Monterey or Maine, but good chowder and hush puppies. The crab cake could’ve been better, but it beats all the work doing it at home. I give this place a 5 star because they are kind folks and treat every customer coming through the door with kindness and quick service!

When I did a Google search for places to eat nearby when my car was at the dealership, this didn't really show up on the search and I don't know why. While walking down the street I saw the sign and decided to direct my family to stop by here instead. Am I glad I did. The decor is typical for a small business, not fancy, not shabby. The food was excellent. They had a wide variety to choose from. We purchased a little of everything to all try. Hamburger was great, I had the 3 piece fish and chips. Teriyaki chicken and beef, calamari. The fish was battered and fried perfectly. It wasn't over cooked, it wasn't greasy. Same with fries and calamari. The chicken and beef teriyaki rice bowl was just as delicious. The sauce was not too oily or glazey. The chicken and beef were grilled just right. The hamburger was I think a pre-made patty but still fresh tasting and delicious. Lettuce and tomatoes were crisp and fresh. I am so glad that we decided to go here instead of a traditional chain. Definitely recommend it. Keep up the quality and good work!

Service was super friendly, had no coffee but they do have tea cold and sodas. I ordered two piece and coleslaw. I wish they had like a more horseradish cocktail sauce but I believe it was a mayo base. Food was fresh and taste great.

It's a cost-effective restaurant, and it tasted much better than most restaurants Fish& chip. It was very crispy and light without oily. I'm definitely recommending it. I didn't eat Korean food, but another Korean friend who tried it said that bibimbap didn't taste that good because the temperature was cold, and fish & chip was the best, but I tried seafood udon and it tasted pretty good. Go and try ,,, it was much better than other restaurant’s fish & Chip

Fish was cooked perfectly but was extremely and i mean extremely bland there are little to no seasoning at all on the fish, it literally taste like fish straight from the water into the oil lol. Other than that it could be better with seasonings.

Ocean Fish AndvChips Is An interesting Restaurant To Attend, I Walked In On A Very Cold Winter Day, The Walls Are Stone Of Some Kind Wirh The Inside Temperature Colder Than Out Door's. Very Cold I Orded A Side, Which I First Rceived And Fish, Which Followed, I Had To Complete My Side Before It Became Tpo Cold For My Liking. I Tgen Received My Fish, Which Was Horrendously Cold And Flat, So IbChose To Take It Along With Me For Later, Which Never Occurred. I Suppose If They Were Able Tob Maintain Warm Food While We Ate Inside I'd Know What The Yase Was Like

I tried the 2 piece fish and prawns and a crab cake. This order comes with fries. I don't know why I only had 1 piece of fish but, I didn't going back to say anything because I waited while my order was being cooked and I was ready to go by the time I received my food. The staff and customer service was very polite and welcoming. My fish was good. My prawns & fries were slightly overcooked and nothing really had any seasoning except for the crabcake. It had a little flavor but, it was more breading and seasoning than crab. It was just ok. Not bad, but not great. I'd like to go back and try other items on their menu. They did have a nice selection of foods to try. I like variety. Overall It's, a nice place to grab some cook to order fish or seafood.
