This was a wonderful first experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken! We got here and Abby, the amazing worker at the register, was so friendly and helpful! Since we had not been here before we asked about how hot certain flavors would be. She was SO knowledgeable and really knew the flavors and levels of heat! The Reaper is killer, pun intended 😝. Otherwise my Hot was just right. Thanks Abby!!!

Went through here once I got food poisoning from their hot chicken sandwich since I've heard this place is pretty hyped. I probably got unlucky, but the sandwich was plain, and I was just vomiting 🤢. Due to that experience I never gave it a second try. Edit: went back here to try it again this time dineing inside. Every staff member was polite and always checking up seeing if anyone needed anything or asking how the food was. Everyone was amazing, the food was delicious and toptier now I understand why Dave's hot chicken is highly hyped and would definitely comeback especially with the hospitality I was given. I am glad I gave it a second chance, the redemption was real ★5/5.

Came in tonight and ordered the #3 (1 tender, 1 slider) extra hot. Joked with the ladies working the counter about the heat level. Waited maybe 5 minutes for my takeout, drove 10 minutes back to my hotel. Chicken was crispy, well seasoned, cooked perfectly. Tender was a good size, slider had just the right amount of pickle and slaw Only negative: it wasn’t extra hot. I should have got the reaper level. I enjoy my heat, though! If I lived locally, I’d come back just to try the reaper. Absolutely recommend this place - great chicken!

Amazing hot chicken here! The scale are very good and I love it. If you want to push yourself, try the Reaper hot level. Otherwise stick with Hot and you'll still feel that kick. The chicken were crispy and tasty, packing lots of flavor. I'd definitely give this place a go if I am in the area!

The food was good and the service was good. I got here right as they opened (sorry) and the lady helping was very nice. The food was out quickly as well. I got the combo number 2 and it was quite delicious. Came out to roughly 18 dollars and honestly kept me full for the whole day so that was great. The price is a bit expensive but the food is great, the flavor is good and the fries are crunchy. One reason I gave the food 4/5 instead of 5/5 is because the medium spice did not feel like medium, id say it felt like in between of medium and mild. A bit wack to my liking 😔. But overall great food, great customer service, and great speed in preparing the food. Kinda wish it came with a drink for the price but oh 🐳. Also really cool that they have a drive through, never seen that with a Dave’s before.

Matt’s energy at the Arden way location was amazing and was very genuine. I come to Dave’s often and didn’t know about the reward system and he helped me out setting that. I went with my nephews and sister in-laws. The place was clean, the cashier was friendly and super helpful and knowledable about the spice levels. I was scared and went with one medium and one mild. The medium wasn't bad at the all. I may try a medium and hot next time. I believe my nephews got super hot and the cashier told us that was around ghost pepper spice 😬 their mouths were burning 🥵 I wont go too spicy because then you cant enjoy your food and taste it. The little sliders are filling and comes with fries and sauce. It's delicious. And dont forget to order a drink! Sherley and Sophia were the two most kindest snd humble cashiers I’ve ever seen at a restaurant, let alone at a fast food chain restaurant. I have been to this Dave’s 3 times now, and seeing their joy and positive attitude leaves me with a great experience even on my gloomiest days. Tried this for the very first time with my family! Everything was crispy and flavorful while Dave’s special sauce is like Cane’s, but not as peppery. On the bright side though, the sauce tastes good still. Overall, Dave’s Hot Chicken is worth the hype!

I would like to thank the franchise for coming to Sacramento! I tried the restaurant in Los Angeles and it was excellent and delicious. I visited the new place and it has the same delicious taste and I like the way the food is presented. This experience was the best one I've had at daves since I first came 2 years ago. I drove about an hour and a half to come since I was really craving some good chicken. I had the best time, maryah was my cashier and she was just the sweetest! I truly appreciate her great attitude and conversation. She was absolutely amazing. Super friendly, super pretty and really helped make my meal the best. Her and Ethan had the best attitudes and he was so helpful as well when he checked up on us. Poor guy saw an absolute crime scene from the demolishment of my meal. Im sure I looked like an absolute savage the way i tore it up😔. None the less he still kept such a friendly attitude and was very funny. Hope you all know this was in my prayer to God on things im thankful for. Thanks to all the cooks as well and those working behind the scenes. I appreciate the great customer service.

I got a medium tender and an xtra hot tender (3 & 6) I can not tell them apart but 7 is way too hot for me. I want your 7 to be a 10 and for you to fill in the difference. The gap between 6 and 7 is enormous. I think I could handle the heat, but the amount of seasoning is too much on the 7. I asked for a side of the 7 spice to put on the 6 and was refused. It’s fine, the chicken is great but you are Hot Chicken. To me the only hot one is kinda inedible and the 6 is not hot at all. Huge respect for having something that spicy, but I want something hotter that I can eat. I am guessing a lot of people feel this way. (But maybe not) Your chicken is so good I will keep coming. I might be coming 3x as often though if you had spicier chicken that I could eat. Thanks. Oh and how do you guys have the best service. You must train (or hire) really well, because multiple people have presented as great in your staff. .

Daves Hot Chicken never misses for me personally its been a while since I've eaten here. But this location is always so friendly. Went to Dave’s Hot Chicken today with my friend and had such a good experience. The girl who helped us, Ari, was super sweet and really took care of us. I didn’t like my first order, and she offered to change it right away and even brought the new one out to our table. She didn’t have to, but she did it with such a good attitude and a smile the whole time. The rest of the staff was also super friendly, they kept checking in to make sure we were good and had everything we needed. You can tell they actually care about their customers. For a great cheat meal for a celebration with my friends I’m more than satisfied. The crew that night Matt, Mohammad, and another awesome team member whose name I didn’t catch ; went above and beyond. It was just ok. I ordered light mild and it was just mild. My husband ordered medium and that was a good enough spice for me. I like how they have spice levels. There's something weird about their drive thru. Stop asking me if its my first time here. Who cares. Let me order pay and get out. Too much talking and hospitality can get annoying.

It was 11 PM and I was looking for food after I got off work. Was looking for something different then the fast food mediocre thing. Unfortunately Dave's was just that. If you are a fan of spicy food maybe this is for you. They have about 7 degrees of spicy powders they dust on the food. This is just another chicken stripe fast food chain.

Even though drinks aren’t included, combo prices start at a minimum of $11. I ordered a meal that cost over $18, including a drink and tax, but the food looked too cheap for the price. The parking lot is spacious, but there are almost always homeless people around the perimeter, not near the restaurant’s main entrance. For this reason, I suggest using the drive-thru only in the evening.

I.am giving a 3 star review because of the unreasonable long waiting time for my food..I placed my order at 11:13pm and not getting my food under 11:40. 2/5 stars for customer service the lady at the drive thru was very friendly. However from ordering to receiving food it was 16 min wait and only 1 car in front of me. I ordered the top loaded fries and barely had cheese you couldn't tell it's on there and chicken worth 10.99 see photo attached. Chicken was good and moist but I'd probably try the sandwiches next time.

First time after this place opened that I wanted to go here, finally did an was abit disappointed by the food I order. The prices weren't so high yet for the quality of how the food looked was not what I expected. The order I got was boneless hot honey chicken wings and besides waiting abit at the drive thru once at home the chicken wings were small an looked as if dripped an too my honey on the wings after it was placed in the container it looked to me. Drink was included so that was fine. If anyone does like going here it's to once preference in food taste. But dont think I'll be going here til I hear it was improved. But the service was pleasant by crew member who took my order.

I usually always get excellent service, atmosphere, and food here for the past 2-3 years, but last night they said they were having issues with their fryer machines. I was willing to wait a bit longer for the food. But once I actually got it, most of the 2 medium level tenders I got were like burnt and harder than usual. Only the middle parts of the tenders weren’t burnt. Fortunately, the fries were still good and unburnt. Hopefully this doesn’t happen next time!

We visited Dave’s Hot Chicken with a group of eight people and placed a large order that included 10 sliders, a Top-Loaded Spicy Buffalo Mac & Chicken with bread, and two boxes of fries. When we received our food, we were only given two sauce packets for the entire order. We went back to the front counter to ask for more sauce, and the white cashier at the register told us they could not give more than two unless we paid extra. We were then charged $6 for eight additional sauce packets. This was frustrating, especially considering the size of our order. Afterward, we looked it up and saw that sauces are listed as complimentary, which made the situation even more disappointing. For a large group order, we expected better customer service and clearer communication. Unfortunately, because of this experience, we won’t be returning.

The food tasted burnt and if after telling them the staff gave us burnt food again. Had to throw all the food away and the person on the counter is just so rude i think he is a manager with glasses just plain of mean and if you complains talks to you like your are lying. I understand mistakes happen but the customer service is just rude.

Spend over 40 bucks for a side of fries with barely any fries, and the side of mac bowl with three pieces of chicken, AND THE CHICKEN WAS PINK AND CHEWY AND IT SMELLED BADLY. And I order an order of cheese fries and dude I didn’t get it ether BUT ETHER WAY IT WAS DISGUSTED AND CHEWING I want my money back and also I order a shake, my daughter drank the shake. She drink all her shake, and I An 2hours later, it hit her, and I want to say the milk was probably even spoiled.
