Can be pricey but I love coming here Sunday mornings.
We live in South Natomas, I usually come all the way from my restaurant “VJ’s Kitchen” - Indian restaurant to get the Cakes particularly at this PB location. The service is good, they been friendly every time I visit. And the cakes are top notch. We loved PB cakes 🎂 especially Mango Coconut is highly recommended.
Love this place got a cake for my son for his birthday it was amazing they gave free candles and a cake cutter that includes matches with the purchase of a cake. They also did writing on the cake which was beautiful and it was very fresh and taste out of this world, a definite must try if you've never had it.
Tried a few things that looked tasty. The portion sizes are great and nutrition info is available. Nothing is too crazy to make you feel guilty (unless you get five things like I did LOL). everything was fresh and delicious. Staff was friendly. It’s a walk up ordering bar where you then find your own seating. Lots of fresh baked options; too many to just come once. Great seating area. Did not try the drinks. Priced well I’d say. Very tasty I was not disappointed.
Best pastry I've ever had is their Very Berry Pastry. I ate one on my way out and went back in to get 4 more. The cashier rang up some items incorrectly and some items were mislabeled, but my love for this pastry in particular supersedes any problems I encountered. Very Berry Pastry - sweet and tart cream with fresh glazed fruits. Pastry itself was perfectly crispy. Yum!
All of the baked goods were amazing. Unfortunately the coffee was incredibly lackluster. Do yourself a favor and just get black coffee with creamer.
This place has some good desserts but the cakes are very over priced for the quality. Favorite thing to get here is the seasonal donuts, the coffee donut and sometimes the croissants. Otherwise 85°C bakery is a better option as the prices are more fair. I do like the sandwiches at Paris Baguette locations but unfortunately this place doesn’t serve them.
It was our first time at Paris Baguette after a friend’s recommendation. Parking wasn’t the easiest, but we managed. The pastries were lightly sweet, which we loved. Unfortunately, a lot of the items we wanted to try weren’t available, which was a bit disappointing. On the plus side, the staff was super nice and there was no wait.
I travel a lot and frequent French bakeries. This has got to be the most expensive one I've visited yet, so I was looking forward to the flavors being outstanding. It was good. Good. The coffee was nice. The cream in the fruit pastry was light and sweet. The pastry was flaky. But nothing stood out as exceptional. And everything was about $2 more than I'm used to. Maybe it's California? Though Chicago isn't what I would call "cheap". Anyway, it was good.
I absolutely love Paris Baguette! Their consistency in quality is truly impressive, and I always know I’m going to enjoy whatever I choose. The Blueberry Chiffon Cake is nothing short of divine—it’s perfectly sweet, satisfying, and light all at once. The balance of flavors is impeccable, with just the right level of sweetness that makes it a treat without being overpowering. I highly recommend it to anyone who’s a fan of delicate yet flavorful desserts. Paris Baguette is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great baked goods!
How do you spend today’s extra day? 😀(29 February). I decided to pick up another place. French style cafe. I came at 5pm ish. So there wasn’t much left unfortunately. And I would love to have a glass plate and cup instead of plastic as it gives a feeling of a cheap place. I know in many American cafes they don’t care that much about small things, but they are important. Finally I ordered the combo coffee + cake for 11$ All cozy sofas were occupied so I needed to choose a regular chair. The place is really nice nevertheless
Pastries were good, freshly baked though pricey. We bought 5 different pastries ( all good!) and a half roll which was so soft and 3 drinks ( nothing special). Amount we paid was $68. Clean and spacious area for dining it. Only downside was that all cashiers were as cold as the weather, both times we were there!
Got my daughter's birthday cake there and I got the Berry Cream Cake and the only berry's we got was on the cake NONE inside the cake! Very disappointed!! Won't be back!! So after posting this review I got a message from Paris Baguette saying to email them about my review, well l did and we'll still nothing! I feel like if they weren't going to respond to my email they shouldn't have asked for me to explain my review. I assumed they were going to fix it?!🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓they have not!! So my advice anybody getting a cake there is it might not have any fruit on the inside 😞.. really is a party bummer!!
Paris Baguette? More like Paris Regret. Walking in is a disorganized disaster, and the prices suggest the dough is made of gold dust ($7 for one bun?!). The quality is impressively stale—I'm pretty sure I could use the croissants as building material. The best part was the "iced" coffee, which was just hot tap water that had a brief, awkward encounter with an ice cube before melting it instantly. If you want a "French" experience, just go buy a beret and eat a stale cracker in your car. It’s cheaper and tastes better.
I am so disappointed I have been here before and it was amazing! But this time was so bad I had to write a review. I got the mini garlic croissants 6pk and they were all over cooked but there was one hidden at the bottom that was 1/2 of it was completely charred it was gross, then I also got a cream donut that had to have been days old because it was hard and chewy absolutely horrible. I paid more the $30
I ordered the new seasonal Strawberry Soft Cream Heart Cake on Friday in advance in order to pick it up on Saturday for my celebration with my friends. It was a cake to congratulate her into getting into medical school. I even paid extra for the chocolate plaque to write "Congratulations!" I went to the store to pick it up and the worker in front told me that it's the wrong cake and there is no chocolate plaque. She had me pick a cake on the display instead. I ordered the cake I wanted within a 24 hour notice to avoid this situation. Then, she wrote on the chocolate plaque so messily and sloppy. The word "Congratulations!" barely fit on it. I was so embarrassed with the handwriting I took the chocolate plaque off before meeting with my friend. In addition, there was another customer who had a pick up order for 9 items, and it was not ready. None of the workers seemed to care or know what happened to the order. The atmosphere of the cafe was so terrible and awkward for the customers. I'm so disappointed with my experience and I go to Paris Baguette whenever something new and seasonal comes out to try it.
Zero stars! Response from owner continuing this company’s display of awful customer service. Now Im understanding what must be subpar standard practice and company policy! I had the worst experience with the Howe Ave store. So disappointing! The cashier said it was his first day and then proceeded to fail on every customer service aspect of this order!!! First and foremost he destroyed the pastries I drove across town to purchase! I had 2 boxes. Laid them on top of each other! Manhandling the products, laying them on top of each other and smearing/ taking off the tops! What was the point of me even purchasing them and putting them out for guests! I was so embarrassed! Then I asked for a bag. Two boxes that were hard to maneuver-Ive ordered plenty of times and always received a bag with multiple boxes. This employee told me you had no bags. Seriously. Then I asked him-I have a list of orders from your company why are they not appearing on my rewards account. He said my past purchases dont count. What??? Why is he not trained! That doesnt even make sense! I told him I had the receipts and a list. He doubled-down, saying past orders dont count. This is ridiculous. Why join rewards at all! This experience left a disgusting taste in my mouth. So angry I spent money there! They were quite the discussion the next day as the pastries were presented. Not a good word was spoken. Horrible experience! ** Got a canned response from Owner. Im assuming its automated because otherwise it makes no sense. It was directing me to contact them and repeat in detailed my terrible experience. Clearly no one can read there. Having your customer relive the embarrassment of purchasing your destroyed products in the condition your employee put them in is a disgusting business practice. My experience is clearly documented in great detail. Not understanding why you need multiple copies of the same compliant from your already dissatisfied Customer! I had already contacted them, before posting this review. Crickets. Unresolved. Standing behind continued bad customer service.
