Cant beat the Smash Burger here for A Fast food restaurant its pretty good. The crew was great and brought me my food and double checked my order too. Will be back...Keep up the Great work Sonic crew!
Don't understand all these negative reviews... It's Sonic.. not a five star restaurant. It's decent food at a decent price and I was satisfied with my order. Tastes just like any other sonic I've had from Alabama to Oregon.. I will say that the intercom was a little low, I had to struggle to hear.. but the food and service was good and that's all that matters.
Placed my order over Drive-Thru. Waited and got my order. Was going to leave but my husband said he didn't get his order so I circle back to tell them I was missing one order. Which was not put on my order and I didn't notice it wasn't on there. 🤦 I had reorder and waited again. When the worker brought my order to my car... He said, "That car pay for your order ". I was lost for a second lol. I tried caughting up to the car to say thank you but it was only one lane and I didn't want to hunk and make a big scene. Anyways, "Thank you, I appreciate your thought and kindness"! With everything going on here in MN I'm glad to see this kindness and love.
Taste is good, everything else could be better. No real value menu but plenty overpriced items which will remind you of going to the fair or the old carhops. The food is usually disheveled, squished, obviously pre-made, and I have yet to have correct order that didn't leave something off the burger, or add something on to which I request, out of half dozen stops in the last 2 months. Also explains the service in which I have dropped tipping to a buck since the employees obviously don't put in any effort at all including pulling up their pants to bring the food to the car. Atmosphere, is in a bad part of town in the first place, run down area in the hood across from Sunray Shopping Center. Right now they have the roads all tore up so it's hard to get in and out of also. That being said it is usually easy, right off the freeway, and easy to get right back on.
This particular site the food is always cold at night. You sit in line for a while with the anticipation of good hot food only to be disappointed. I asked for my tater tots to be cooked to order, I pulled to the window waited... received my order and drove away only to stick my hand in the bag and pull out cold old potatoes. I love Sonic's but I will continue to go to the one in Bloomington their food is always on point.
Ok food, I only eat here once a year so I can't make judgement on the consistency of service.. after years of eating there a couple times a month, I can see the decline. Please update your electronics in this restaurant. Some of the intercoms or credit card readers do not work in the stalls where you Park and order food and ordering food at the drive-thru is like pulling teeth! I was screaming my order to the top of my lungs and the poor lady still could not hear my order. After I finally ordered my food, I went to pay and the terminal could not read my debit card. So I asked can't you do it by the chip reader? The person reply yes but you got to give me your debit pin number to put it to complete your order 😲 WTHelly there is no way I am giving a stranger my debit pin number.. it's always something nowadays at Sonic.. please update your technologies at your restaurant..
This experience is really upsetting. I had gotten a breakfast burrito and asked for no jalapeño’s in it. I get back to my place and come to find that there are jalapeño’s and no tomato. Then I open my chicken sandwich that I also ordered and find that it is extremely dark for what it is suppose to look like. I take a bite and the sandwich tastes burnt. I could deal with picking jalapenos out of the burrito but having an overcooked chicken sandwich, it can’t be saved. I couldn’t go back to get a different one. So I am leaving a review. Customers beware. I also provided a picture of what it is suppose to look like and then what I got for reference.
The music on the drive thru is extremely loud, the cashier is not able to hear you. It is so uncomfortable to be repeating the order 4 or 5 times because they don't listen to you.
I order it on DoorDash and they forget 2 of my drinks and the food was burnt and hard. This really disappointing meal I have. Can’t even enjoy it.
Came all the way from Rochester to have one of the dudes tell me I can’t have my slushies last minute when he told me in the drive thru to pull up to the second window clearly he waited till 1am to close the store. And if you reading this you know exactly who you are.
Was doing a DoorDash tonight. Based on information given, I was told to sit in a lane and press the red button. Once red button was pressed, I sat for maybe 10 minutes without no response and the red button turned off. Proceeded to press it one more time and had to wait another six minutes before any response was given only to be told I needed to go through the drive-through
I have now eaten here 3 times in the last year. The first time was slow and figures that was due to ordering 3 kids meals and an adult meal. The second time it took forever I assumed because of doordash. Today, I used the park and order. I literally only ordered a 3 piece chicken strip meal and a pretzel twist. It took over 15 minutes and they were SLOW. Now, I know fast food isn't going to be great but for the time they took, my chicken was SUPER overcooked and there was enough salt on the fries to dehydrate a whale! The pretzel is ok for a fast food joint pretzel, its flaky which is weird. Definitely wont be back.
Longest wait at this sonic, don’t take your orders and make you wait 10min. The worse fast food you would want to go in the area. Usual wait is 20-30min. They lose a bunch of customer everyday due to the lack of employees during night shift. As I type this, 4 car drove off.
YALLL DO NOT COME TO THIS SONIC!! THE REASON THEY TAKE FOREVER TO PROCESS ORDERS IS BECAUSE THEYRE SKIMMING YOUR CARDS AND KEEPING THE CASH YOU PAY WITH. To better explain, if you are paying with cash they will charge your order on the person behind or in front of you so they are technically paying for your food while they pocket the cash you paid with. I noticed this today on my receipt, with how unorganized and weird the staff is with peoples orders and the wait time; and the tint on the windows so you can’t see what they’re doing. this needs to be investigated, I’ve posted my receipt for proof
We ordered thru Uber eats All of the sauces were missing. Half of the order depends on sauces. Fries & tator tots without ketchup/bbq sauce, cheese sticks without marinara sauce. The Salted Carmel Toffee Croissant Bites had 4 very small pieces. Although there wasnt enough wrong for a return. It was our first time ordering from Sonic. It will probably be the last. Unfortunately for them I do write reviews
This place is the worst spot when it gets dark. How are you supposed to enjoy a Sonic drive in when you can't even get food. I gave this Sonic a few chances and it's bad everytime. Today was the last time. I'm here at 11:20PM. I'm 6th in line. The time came at around 12:05AM there's still 2 cars ahead of. They then proceeded to turn off all their lights and made it seemed as they were closed, come to find out, they said that they were close even after me and a few other cars already put in our order. Like really you wasted almost an hour of my time and 2 other customers time. Plus you can't just decide to close after we had already placed out order. Also a health issue, prior nights I got my food and the bag and food smelled like everyone was smoking weed inside.
This location clearly doesn't understand their job, I had to order delivery 2 times for my food cause yall messed it up and even after the second time yall still couldn't get it correct. What's going on can anyone explain this cause I work in the food industry and have been for a couple years and never understood how you can completely butcher my order 2 times, the drinks weren't even correct size or selection. What a waste of time and money.
I really don't expect much from fast food, but c'mon man. Management and the employees very obviously don't care, drive through took forever for absolutely no discernible reason, drinks were unmixed with way too much syrup or were flat, and you can see how dirty the kitchen is from the drive thru window (let alone the exterior of the building). I fully empathize that the work sucks and the pay is worse--all I hope for is the bare minimum, and this location showed me that rock bottom has a basement.
They gave my father in law a strawberry shake but wouldn't give me one because the "machine was broken". I went through 2 times to ask.... Also asked for extra ranch did not receive any! But I absolutely love their smash burgers! But they don't give enough tots and fries. Compared to other sonics I've been to this one is the worst! Hell compared to any fast food restaurant service I've had this is the worst!
We love going to Sonic, but lately the service for the drive in stalls has been horrible. Halfway through our order the order taker said they'd be right back. Waited 3-4 minutes and eventually left. There were only 4 cars in the drive through.
I recently placed an order at the sonic location in Saint Paul. The Oreo shakes that I ordered, which were four,had little to no Oreo crumbs in it. The two chicken sandwiches that I ordered were also not fully cooked and still raw I and my family ate raw chicken. This is totally unacceptable.
Went through drive thru. Ordered the bacon cheeseburger toaster and they didn't put a burger on my sandwich! Super ticked. We didn't notice until the evening when I was going to heat it up. There food is over priced and not worth it. Will be calling!! How do you forget the burger on a sandwich!
2 Critics came to this Sonic today. We love the Cherry Limeade. However today we paid the 9$ for 2 and it tasted like Alka-Seltzer which means syrup is out or we didnt get any. We went back to let them know after 1 sip. The lady in the drive through was arguing with us. She did remake them after making comments like “Are you sure” and “We charge for extra syrup” we didnt want extra syrup we wanted regular syrup. I even told her you can try our drinks and she said she wouldnt. We were not trying to get a free second drink. We were even trying to give her back the 2 drinks that were bad. She wouldnt so we dumped the 2 bad drinks out to show we were not trying to get free drinks.
The young lady who brought out the food was very polite but the quality of the food was lacking! $10 dollars for a chicken sandwich and fries isn't worth it! The bun was bigger than the chicken patty!! Also waited 10 minutes for the food so it was lukewarm at best! Disappointed to say the least!!
