Food portion is ridiculous 😆😆😆. I got my favorite food Steak Fajitas Taco bowl 😋

Great portion sizes (way bigger than planned) and reasonable prices. Didn't take too long in the drive through for a really good meal. They were very friendly and helpful and suggested a great item when my first choice was out. I'll definitely go back when I'm in town!

The food is amazing! All time favorite places to eat for good, closest to home cooked mexican food anywhere else I've been. If you want a cocktail with a kick, you have to try the Palomarita. The dining area is basically serve yourself which I don't mind. But you can't really classify it, as having atmosphere. It is always very clean and neat, so I give it a five.

Upbeat atmosphere, great drinks. Although small selection still good, the food is outstanding and they have a huge bar of sauces and add ins salsas and cream's everything is amazing.I feel guilty every time I go because I know I over eat here. This place is mostly known for there Nacho's. If your in the area I would stop by and check them out. They also serve some of the best margaritas.

Definitely my go to place for nachos. I've been coming here for years and won't stop till they close this place down. The drinks are awesome that mango pico is just the bomb.

If there isn't a velvet Jesus on the back wall or if over 50% of the clientele isnt Mexican, it's white people Mexican and I'm out. At first glance i would have said this was white people Mexican but after eating here for the second time this isn't the best Mexican I've had but it's close. Portion sizes are ENORMOUS, prices are more than reasonable and this last visit i would say 95% were Mexican/South American which is a REALLY good sign. The full size burrito is the size of a small child without the poopy diapers and the Kong nachos would easily solve 3rd world hunger!! The Dosararita has a punch like Mike Tyson but won't bite your ear off and the pina colada tastes like it's made with God's tears mixed with the blood of angels and fairies with a hint of powdered unicorn horn. You won't regret eating here that's for sure! Made a quick stop here for some Nachos while I was in San Antonio. Went through the drive thru, service was quick and friendly and the nachos were pretty darn good. (Large Order Picadillo Nachos in picture) I’m a fan of their queso. I did learn that they have a range of hot sauces so be sure to ask for their hottest if that’s what you like!

The place is under renovation, but the half-kong nachos were worth the drive. Service was quick and the food was delicious.

Chacho's has been a local staple for me for many moons. I've never been disappointed by anything I've eaten here, but anything with the steakhouse beef fajita is top tier! Their pile by nachos are my go-to. The traditional red salsa and creamy cilantro are the two best salsas in my opinion.

Chachos finally opened up the lobby again since covid, and I've enjoyed their food. You really get a lot of food, they're not stingy! But i just read the reviews below and i just hope management turns this around because nobody wants sloppy food, nor water leaking from the ceiling. I had water leaking over our table, on the left side booths coming in from the door but we quickly moved to another booth before our food came out. Not the greatest situation but we know they're trying to get it together! So come on Chachos you make a lot of money, please fix the AC leak - roof leak. Plus check the table tops, they're loose and pieces of wood splinters stick out. Chachos already has the name and reputation but please turn this around to avoid bad reviews. I got great food and nice pancakes the other day, please improve for everyone else that's left negative reviews. You all work very hard but before you give someone a plate of food, you have to ask yourself if you'd give it to your precious mom or dad, significant other, family or friend, someone that's dear to you. If not, then please don't give it to a customer. You're way better than nearby competitors but improve so you don't lose customers, you got this Chachos "Turn it around" we will be back soon, great pancakes too! Always a classic go-to joint. The drinks have a good price/buzz ratio. The interior is OLD but that's the whole point. People are friendly.

Damn those margaritas are bomb! The silver tequila one is worth getting and just one is enough! Super strong and delicious, although I hear they put a bit of Everclear at the end which must be what gives it an extra strong jolt. Food is good after drinking, but definitely on the greasy-you'll-regret-later-side. Once in a while, especially for a girl's gathering is standard. Decent salsa bar and free chips too.

If you're in San Antonio, Chachos is definitely recommended. The outside of the building needs to be updated and to many it may look like its really dirty going by how the outside looks. But surprisingly it was clean (cluttered but clean) and they passed their last 3 health inspections with an incredibly high score! Don't judge a book by its cover! 😃 Oh, and if you decide to go with a large group, get the monster Nachos-They're Huge! **they seem to have a plethora of cheese😂

Wife gave it a thumbs up. This is what taco cabana used to be (15 yrs ago) and should be, but isn't. They sold out and only make Taco Bell quality fast food now. Go to Chachos instead!

Now that the dining room is open, we wanted to check it out. We noticed over the past few years while to dining wa close, it wa being remodeled. The inside did change. Looks more open. However, the floor cleanliness was really lacking. Looked like it had nevered been steamed or pressured washed after the remodeled. Made the inside look gross. Hopefully that will be done. I think they are still learning how much food they need, now they have the dinning room open. The guy taking our order looked like he was over it too. When we ordered he said, they had no Guacamole, puffy tacos, something else and top shelf margarita. We had to order something else, but I did get Guacamole with my nachos. We ordered a Jack and Coke and a strawberry margarita. Both drinks had way to alcohol in them. I think thats why they weren't fully frozen. My friend used the restroom and said they could have updated or even freshen up the restrooms. They didn't look clean either. I really hope they get it together soon. We want to try them again soon.

This place is a total slop pit this is a pig trough of a restaurant, you're not getting anything of quality here but you're getting a lot of it and it's not terrible tasting, but it's greasy slop . You get what you're paying for, if you want quantity over quality then this is where you go. I think one out of three times they mess up an order I make and of course the quality of the food is absolute dumpster, but again you get a lot of it and you know you can't really go wrong with greasy food, and their Margaritas are pretty good I'll give them that

The food is delicious, it's very flavorful and the food has a homemade flavor. The service is exceptional; they are very friendly. Unfortunately, their dining is closed otherwise I'd rate it a 5-star. I don't like drive through because food is usually cold by the time you get home so unfortunately you have to park near and grub, a little uncomfortable. Their chicken puffy taco is a must! Definitely a place to try if you're looking for tasty food.

I don't have a problem with Tex Mex, but I didn't think it was good even for what it was. It gets extra points for a STRONG margarita. With Sangria on the Burg around the corner with better nachos and margaritas, I just don't see myself coming back here. I'll reconsider if the quesadillas are as good as my friends tell me they are though.

Okay so the food is very tasty (nachos) & the variety of salsas are great.. HOWEVER, this place needs some serious management improvement bc it's clearly lacking seeing as how filthy dirty the place is. Dirty tables everywhere, floors look like they've never seen a mop ever, just really really dirty looking/feeling. It wasn't too busy and not one table would be picked up when people left. Food and trash everywhere. My biggest concern, however, is the massive waste problem. Even if you're dining in, the only cup option is styrofoam, styrofoam plates, stryofoam cups for salsas.. plastic and styrofoam everywhere. That's a never ending supply of waste that isn't getting recycled or biodegradable. Cmon.. it doesn't just disappear, we have a major waste problem and this is so irresponsible as a large restaurant. Please try thinking about responsible restaurant practices and provide dishes that can be washed/re-used, recycle your plastic items, and GET RID OF STYROFOAM.

I went through the drive through I had never been there before and I explained to the younger lady I can't do spice. This location's dining area just recently opened from COVID. The mango salsa which I looked forward to was not the same, and did not taste as good. The chips of the nachos were burned and hard to eat because they were so hard.

Went to the drive thru today. I was unable to get off and eat there because of work. I ordered fajita tacos. The fajitas were not drained at all, the foil paper was not closed right on the tacos. I grabbed the bag, put it on my lap, and I felt all the juice from the tacos on my pants. The guy at the window just looked at me. I lifted up the bag and it was about to all come out. I thought it was the hotsauce, but no. It was the actual tacos dripping out. Needless to say, my work pants are now all greasy and stained. Not cool. I've never had a problem, until today. The meat was good and all, but dang. Take a min to drain the food and serve it right.

First off, the only reason that I gave 2 stars was that the cashiers were very cordial. If they hadn't been so kind to my guests and I, I would have given this restaurant 0 stars. The reasons for this are several, but the main reason was the wait time for our "cold food". My brother clocked it at 36 mins, and that was only because he got up and went to the counter and asked what was taking so long. Once he returned with our 2 plates, (which I still don't understand how 2 plates can require 36 mins to prepare), the food was cold and very unappealing. The potatoes were undercooked (I got a bacon and egg plate), the eggs were burnt, and the beans were a disgrace to San Antonio cooking. The crowd and atmosphere left much to be desired, as a table of 5 or 6 women next to us kept drunkenly yelling about John Bobbit, and certain male anatomy. Overall, not a pleasant experience on any level. Highly not recommended.

Not close to the place it used to be. Fajitas very salty, nachos burnt, place very dirty and disorganized, employees lack good customer service. No ambiance, no music. Definitely not the chacho,s from before.

Chachos is typically good but I feel like sometimes it’s a hit or miss which is not something that would make you want to go back. These are supposed to be wings but is literally just breading probably like 5 actual pieces of meat and the hot sauce is not hot at all. Extremely disappointing especially for the price.

So she could taste them for her self where the whole restaurant could obviously hear her she asked " why was I throwing them back to her"when I set them down on the bar I told her she didn't need to yell at me about them and she started screaming saying " OH THIS IS YELLING NOW IM YELLING AT YOU " I ASKED FOR A REFUND. Well I went last night and I'll say I'm not happy with the food and the way it was made. The burrito I got wasn't warm at all the cheese wasn't even melted . The same thing with my nachos . The cheese wasn't melted. I'm very disappointed with this place. I spent over $35.00 on some cold food that I couldn't even eat till later because I had to wait to go back to the motel to warm it up. I was here on a business trip.

They were out of Flautas (9pm) so I got a cheese enchilada a la carte and again it was so salty it was inedible. I had my friend taste it and he said the same thing. When I asked for salsa the server said there were 7 in the bag. There were NONE! This used to be one of my favorite haunts, but it will be a long time before I try again, if I do.

We go to this chachos and the girl at the register just had a attitude and was throwing our money and touching our food and just being rude and mean until I finally couldn’t take it anymore I told her step out side I had to say it three more times because she kept talking shit and then she wanted to tell the other employees in the back of the restaurant no come out side and she just kept talking shit why go to a place like this with your family and friends when a restaurant has employees like this and by the way my husband and a customer that was there recorded the incident and gave it to us while we were walking out. I used to love Chacho’s puffy tacos but lately this is what they look like. They look like tacos on corn tortillas I had two orders and one of them didn’t have guacamole how lame. Drove for twenty minutes for this. I talked to the manager and he said there’s nothing I can do about it sometimes their good and sometimes their not. Since they are a high volume store they can’t make them right. Funny because there was no cars when I got there. So now y’all now not to go there because they won’t make your food right because they don’t wanna hold the line. So I paid for what they wanna give me

Check your food if using the drive tru. Multiple tacos were missing eggs (on the menu) deluxe tacos are not deluxe unless you have beans in the taco. It will be bean deluxe and very little of the rest. Hasta la nunca again chacos.

Staff didn't know what they were doing or how to take a straight order, most tables were dirty with food bits still on them, salsa station was dirty and empty, nachos were stale and meat was undercooked, many drug abusers outside restaurant on phones loitering. Terrible.

Food and drinks are great but very dirty place. Could not walk in restaurant without stepping on chips and trash. Waitress couldn't read my order # name. So she couldn't find my table. She walked around the whole restaurant 3 times. Looked at our sign to read it all 3 times. Then looked all confused when she realized what table it was. She kept yelling a name that is non existent. When I went to the restroom, I heard a lady trying to ask if her order was called already because she had been waiting for 30 minutes already. People at the spot where you pick up food rudely interrupted her and said no. Your order has not been called. And she said I only ordered 3 simple tacos. It can't possibly take that long to make. I did get my meal in a very reasonable time.

Waited over 30 minutes just to go up to the front and have them say "I'll make it right now" as other customers who came in after me received their food before me.

Had two orders that came with guacamole and you don’t tell me that you don’t have any till I’m picking it up… Service sucked

Everything was gross and unsanitary. The workers are alright but they take forever to give a table and their food doesn’t even taste good for the price that they give for it. It tastes like cheap frozen food that they spent $1 to buy and heat up its nasty. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend

The staff is rude and the food sucked. Ordered pacadillo nachos, I understand using onions, tomatoes and bell pepper in your food for flavor but not to where it overpowers everything else in the dish. You couldn't even taste the cheese because you have over powering onion & bell pepper taste. Not to mention they put it in the microwave too long to melt the cheese and chips & cheese were burned. The staff who walked out my order was rife practically pushing the bag of food in my hands with the remark and attitude saying Here then walking away and when I called to talk to someone I was met with more rudeness because after asking why my food was this way I was told if there's nothing else I have to go were busy by a gentleman and I use that term loosely because he was not being a gentleman and was also rude. Their franchise should do better but not even their website has a contact email or ph#.

I ordered the FULL PICADILLO beef burrito, and AGAIN the tortilla was “OLD N STALE”” !! Not only that but “there was NO RICE IN MY BURRITO””!! But it somehow they managed to ADD IT FULL OF TOMATOES 🍅 THAT I ASKED “ “NOT”” TO PUT ON IT.. This place USED TO BE one of my favorite spots to eat at!! I DONT know if they’ve changed management, or if it’s the NOT SO GOOD QUALITY of WORKERS , but I’m highly Disappointed- because I actually came back here after the “FIRST INCIDENT” thinking that maybe it was a mistake !! BUT IT WASNT!! I’ve been coming here for over 20 years and it’s just a terrible place now 😒!! And the QUALITY OF THE FOOD IS A “2” at best !!

Food was nasty. Rice tasted sweet, carne guisada was seasoned with nothing but pounds of salt. Taco salad carne was cold, was sent back and replaced with heated carne. Not going back.

Trash. Drinks are trash Food was trash Service was trash - who runs out of guac at 7pm and doesn't make more?? Went in a Sunday, did a goodle search on Brisket Nachos (reason why we selected this place). Place was busy so we thought it was a good sign of a good place. Upeon entrance was no line (register was not rude but wasnt friendly, we did inform her it was our 1st time). So it was a leta wing it here cuz she's not helpful and there was no one else in line. Cons: not friendly staff, when you get a refill on soft drink, you have to get in line to just get a refill (there is no fountain station, expect for teas and ice). so if long line you have to get i. line. Someone dropped a beer bottle on floor (took then 30 min till someone came to clean it up). Restroom needs cleaning (not kept up). If you eat out in deck (outside) be aware ppl out there smoke (this is a smoking area) no smoking inside. Food: Well the staff said on SUNDAYS they DO NOT SERVE BRISKET, REALLY!! I mention so you mean you ran out, she said NO, WE JUST DO NOT SERVE ON SUNDAYS. I said on the menu there is NO WHERE in here that says No BRISKET on Sundays and she just said we just don't. We got Two chicken gordotas and fajita nachos and let me say this Gorditas was ok/good, but the fajita nachos, smh: theu file it high and i mean HIGH, but nothing but chips on the bottom, small layer spread of beans and little pieces of fajitas and TONS os cheese. Yea looks can be DECEIVING alright. Pro: gorditas (ok), beans was good, fajitas (the little amount we got) ok and the price. So even though we didnt get our brisket nachos, we are NOT looking to coming back. This place would be ok for other who, humm hang out a place drink beer and what ever, but if you looking for a chuy's or Pappasitos kind of place, this is NOT one of them places.

Ordered 2 orders of pile high nachos for dine in. When they came up at the counter we were missing guacamole. When I asked the girl at the kitchen counter for it. She rudely answr we dont have any we dont have any. I asked for a refund for guacamole and her answer was no gauc is just a condiment like ketchup. I was confused because if I would have ordered a side of guacamole they surley charge for that. If I ask for ketchup packet those are free.Right? Also restrooms were dirty one stall over flowing anther out of service. Food was eh.. .

Wanted the manager change one of the TV for the Sunday night NFL game. He said they were set to certain shows. Previous manager did change to the game. I guess it was to hard to do the task. Also low staff and slow service. Won't be coming back.

Not but 3 people in this restaurant. Waited almost 30 minutes for 2 tacos. Then was chastised by the Ordering staff. The ladies in the back are busy talking. And a dumb sign on my table . Daffy Duck. This was ridiculous. Do not go to this store if you have the chance for another.

Ordered chicken fajita nachos from the lunch special. I’ve never had my nachos overloaded with lettuce and tomato before. Was not what I expected to see opening my order. The cheese was cold and not completely melted. Ordered unsweet tea and got sweet. 👎 Very disappointing.

If you like, extremely sad looking and tasting food, this is the place for you! The so-called enchiladas look like they were left out for hours and the so-called Mexican rice looked more like Puerto Rican rice just with no flavoring. It really look like boiled rice with a little bit of soy sauce and vegetables. Tacos and Chalupa’s were very stale and quite frankly it just sucked But if you like crappy tasting food, this is the place for you And they had a sign on the door saying we were Oto guacamole How can you be out of guacamole when there’s an H-E-B down the store someone go buy some avocados Extremely pathetic And don’t complain to the lady cooking because she has an attitude. I guess she thinks her cooking is the bomb. It’s more like the toilet bowl.

Went threw the drive threw ordered food and then we asked about chips n queso we were told its an 8 oz cheese so we get home n realized they put chips in a togo plate and pour cheese on top!!! So yes by the time we got home the chips were getting soggy and the main reason we wanted the queso was to dip our quesadillas , very bad experience, N then I try callin restaurant n noone answers! We should have gone to mama margies!

Not what I expected from this place, did not live up to the “reputation”. Cold hard cheese on the nachos, the queso was all dark and stiff, tasted like it had been microwaved multiple times. The lady taking out order was extremely rude. There is no baby changing tables in the restroom. The place is old, rundown and very dirty. We didn’t even finish our food, it was that bad!

I had not been here since COVID so I walked in to place a to go order and see the inside. It looks very nice. I placed a to go order for piled high picadillo nachos. While waiting a very rude lady called my order but for dine in. I said very nicely I placed this to go. She shows me the ticket and said no you didn't. I said I said to go a few time. She gets this angry look on her face as she curses in Spanish of which I am fluent. When I get home they gave me the wrong meat it was cold and horrible. Don't go here. The guy taking the order was really nice. But the lady making the food was rude and didn't care. Horrible experience

So terribly run down, something dripped on my shoulder as I waited in line. The nachos sat under the lamp so long the cheese was very hardened, this happened with multiple orders. My sister went to ask if she could take the nacho portion of her order as it had been under the lamp for 10min and the cook snapped at her that it wasn't her tray then gave her that same tray when her food was ready. Overall ot was gross and dirty, and the food sucked. I was so excited to come back after so long and was extremely disappointed.

The DRIVE THRU Lady yelling thru the speaker ultra loud and then acting like she cant hear anything- GET A NEW HEADSET & LOSE THE CRAPPY ATTITUDE. Same lady different weekends. Same crap attitude. No body was in your drive thru nor inside - zero reason for rudely rushing anyone. I always am respectful of restaurant staff and management. This baffles me. Hate your job? Go elsewhere. Have bad equipment? Get a maintenance request going. HILARIOUS she tells me "we're out of guacamole" at 5 on a Sunday- all of 1/12 of a mile from TWO grocery stores? Wow. Unfortunate.

I use to love the chicken Caesar salad at chachos. I was craving a good salad. I went through the drive through and the chicken was cold. They used to grill the chicken huge pieces and hot 🔥. I was very very disappointed ☹️. For $15 dollars never again. No wonder why the drive through and parking lot was empty. Not the same anymore....

Cashier was nice . The food was terrible my eggs were awful and it was supposed to be Huevos Rancheros I had to go back and ask for rancheros sauce. Horrible service food was cold
