Service 10/10 Food 10/10 Best hot dog ! Felt like a true mexican hot dog from home. don’t sleep on that hot sauce ! It’s delicious! I couldn’t stop eating it.. Quesadilla was super cheesy and full of flavor. Will note to get the big one next time. I do wish it was a little more family friendly ( kids highchairs will do ). I got the chunky hot dog w loaded fries and a small pastor quesadilla. I hope to see the fry portion get a little bit of a bigger portion but everything was spot on good job guys! You just got yourself a customer life. Will dine in next time.

The various flavors of hotdogs is awesome. They really are chunky. Try this place.... they also have more seating on the side. Both portions of restaurant were nice overall.

El Chunky is hands down one of the best local spots I’ve discovered lately. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, and the staff made the experience even better with their friendly and attentive service. Orders came out quickly, and everything was served hot and fresh. The fajita nachos were a standout — perfectly seasoned meat piled high over crispy chips, smothered in melted cheese and all the right toppings. They nailed the balance of flavor and texture, and the portion was more than generous. Easily sharable, though you might not want to! Another must-try is the corn in a cup — a deceptively simple dish done exceptionally well here. Creamy, savory, and just the right amount of spice, it’s the kind of side you end up ordering again before you leave. Prices were surprisingly reasonable considering the quality and size of the portions. You get excellent value for what you pay, making El Chunky a perfect go-to spot whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a full meal. If you haven’t tried El Chunky yet, do yourself a favor and go. Delicious food, fair prices, and a team that genuinely cares about your experience — this place is the real deal.

This place is a jewel! My man Manuel did his thing with this place! Visiting from Florida and tried this place out and it did not miss! Everything was top tier. From the service, the concept, the food and the ambiance. It was amazing! I didn’t take the 9”, but I am a true believer in his vision! Please bring this place to Fort Lauderdale/Miami! It’s a winner!

Saw it on Insta and stopped in. So many great choices, quality ingredients and great service. If you love a good hot dog 🌭 this is the spot! They also have nachos,quesadillas, burritos, corn dogs and fries. I will be back soon to try them all. Thank you chunky for a great experience! Open late

The mexican hot dog and tacos were both really good!! The vibes are really cute in the restaurant. They also serve alcoholic drinks at a small bar in the restaurant. We just happened to stumble upon this place and decided to try and were so glad we did, will definitely be returning.

My family and me are new to the area and have been slowly trying new foods in San Antonio. My brother saw a tiktok video of this spot and we decided to try it for dinner. Let me tell you I was skeptical at first, I've had bad experiences where the hot dog is salty and over powers the toppings. These hot dogs were absolutely amazing! I got it delivered and it was packaged very nice and organized to where the hot dogs didn't move much from Point A to Point B. Definitely planning our next trip in person next.

This place is a hidden gem! The hot dogs are seriously the best I’ve ever had, especially the one topped with Hot Cheetos it’s a game-changer. The tacos and burritos are just as good, full of flavor and super fresh. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

The food was amazing, first time here and 10/10 would come again. The hot dogs are giant so all you need is one. Loved that they have different seating options, the vibes and the music in the room on the side are immaculate. Loved it!

I CANNOT recommend this place enough. My husband and I were on an anniversary trip to San Antonio and stumbled across El Chunky and OH MY GOODNESS!! We live 6 hours away from San Antonio and I’m already planning our next trip back because of this place right here!! The food is absolutely amazing and it’s nothing like I’ve ever had before! The hot dogs are not your average grocery store hot dog, they are a million times better! The fries are crisp in all the right places, and the cheese on the fries are BOMB! You will not regret eating here and you will ALWAYS want to come back for more!

First time here. We only ordered two types of hot dogs. The employee who took our order is very kind. There were already a good number of people there. They seemed to have a lot of Togo orders they tried to push out first. They do have a small area next door that has a bar for extra seating. Of course there's a cute outdoor seating as well. They also play music but either their speaker was dying or their connection was bad because it kept playing distortion. We had to wait an hour for our food. Which is fine cause we had no place to be. Chunky street: my hubby enjoyed it. He said the bell pepper didn't over power the flavor of the hot dog. Chunky chillin: I didn't read fast enough that I could have chosen the cheese and onion type. I feel I would have enjoyed this more with nacho cheese and regular onions. The chili sauce has beans and is not spicy at all. I would have liked some jalapeños. The beef frank had a nice bite. I love that they char them on a grill. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and I think next time I will do a build my own dog.
