Amazing customer service and best coffee in town. Hands down
Timely no nonsense coffee and pastries. There is no want of Customer service, it has always been fantastically satisfactory. Unlike some coffee shops wherein I have had the displeasure of consuming egregiously poorly extracted espresso, this person-made and maintained phenomenon is more than capable of delivering not only fine mixed coffee beverages but the espresso itself as well. The beans they sell roasted I have purchased as well and I have never been ashamed later of that purchase upon the consumption of a beverage produced from that spoken-of purchase. Unsure which product to buy? Simply tell them that you would like to buy beans and you are unsure which you want and I can attest from experience that is no problem they will guide you to a choice appropriate your needs, wants, and equipment.
Café Moto has been my favorite coffee shop for the past 9 years, from the staff Alexia, Iliana, Olivia, and many amazing others, from the consistently delicious coffee. The new coffees that have been debuted have been SO good but this Tiramisu latte takes the cake. The foam is perfect, the coffee not too sweet, I LOVED it. Thank yall for being the best!
Sweet little spot with a rustic touch. Limited seating, has a drive through though. Awesome coffee and espresso options as well as confections, I enjoyed a cranberry scone with a Mexican mocha.Their seasonal selections are very much worth a try. Incoming Christmas menu coming soon and I will be there to sample.
The iconic First Coffee Roaster in San Diego never disappoints! ~We had Organic medium roast drip coffee with a strawberry crème Babka from Split Bakehouse that was otherworldly! Said Babka was A brioche dough, so buttery, and the homemade strawberry jam filling was extraordinary, 6$! (Btw ALL of the Split Bakehouse offerings, savory and sweet are COMPLETELY vegan, meaning “milk, butter, and eggs” are all vegan! They are master bakers to get the incredible flavor in their baked goods!) The coffee at Moto is the best value and taste in organic coffee offerings in all of San Diego, at 3.69$ for the cup, and it was, as always, delightful. No one can beat their elegant black cup and logo!! I like that fresh flowers adorn the tables in the al fresco seating, and the cheery bright yellow chairs are quite comfortable. The staff here is a bit eclectic and bit too somber for caffeine addicts, you know? But, that’s ok, it works! And it might be because their drive through crowd is voluminous and that can bring monotony for them, I am sure! 5 tables for 2 are along the wall and they are bit shaded, and three tables for four are curb side and they have umbrellas. It made for a pleasant morning to be at Cafe Moto! **Also appreciate they do double cups for piping hot coffee, not just the heat sleeve!
It wasn’t just the incredible V12 cold brew coffee that I absolutely loved about this place, it was the location, community and people. The Barrio Logan was my favorite neighborhood I stumbled upon while visiting San Diego. This coffee was so crisp, not bitter at all, smooth and ice cold. It was so strong I was able to drink it all day and felt amazing! Thank you so much, Cafe Moto!! I can’t wait to come back!
I was hoping to go in the shot and pick out my own bag of fresh roasted coffee but they are closed. You can go up to the window or go through the drive through. I like flavored roasted coffees like Cinnamon roasted or coconut flavors. I got there last bag of Vanilla roast but didn't get the vanilla flavor when I brewed in my MocaMaster. Still good coffee but I think I will stick to smaller roasters in North County San Diego where I can watch them roast the coffees and pick out more flavors onsite.
If you know, you know. Cafe Moto is the place to go to for a solid bag of beans. They're the premier roaster in and around SD. A lot of other coffee shops actually source their brand from Moto..The staff at this location is super personable and always has spot-on recommendations for what beans to take home. If you don't like them, bring them back and they'll make it right!
Fantastic Coffee! I really enjoyed the Lil Pump Coffee it was like pumpkin pie in a cup! Expertly crafted highly recommend! I bought some beans to bring home with me because we were visiting the area. If I lived in California I would be a regular here! Decor is artful mod totally hip!
First time here. Heard a lot of good things about this spot. I picked up a bag a coffee for some home pour over. They hooked me up with some of thier cold brew which is amazing. Thus the 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.I will update rating after some pour overs in the AM. Super excited about this adventure. The staff there was super helpful and knowledgeable about ratio for cold brewing and pour over. Also a good sign when they have roast dates!! UPDATED 6/22/21 Day one brew was amazing!! Did a pour over, busing a 17 to 1 ratio at 195°,turned out great! Going to be fun trying all their coffee for pour over and cold brew!!
Love! Came last week to try their cappuccino and adore. This week we came to explore their huge room in the back where actually they roast the best coffee beans from all over the world including my birth country Brazil. Their variety is amazing and also they carry organic decaf which for me is a plus. Yummy coffee bean covered chocolate is a must too. Literally you will find here everything related to coffee. Is a Coffee Lover Paradise. Great knowledge of coffee also.
What a neat place! As a big Moto fan and Rider it was especially Nice to see the decor around the cafe. I'm not much of a coffee drinker but I do appreciate the meticulous care and taste of their brews. My SO really wanted to visit here and get a bag of their grounds as they're one of her favorites. I'm a big fan of their hot chocolates! Oaxaon was really on point!
My favorite coffee in San Diego. I just wish the service was friendlier! The person who took my order last time looked miserable and wasn’t remotely helpful. Otherwise my rating would be 5 stars.
Coffee is good, but wait is sometimes ridiculous regardless of what time of the day it is. Most often than not drive thru does not follow an order, and they do not care about who arrived first. Almost every time I have used this service people who arrive after me have has their orders taken first. Walk up is just as slow, 15 minutes for an americano is absurd.
RUDE staff/overall experience from one of the girls working there. She seemed frustrated and took it out on me & my husband. We’ve been here several times and this is the first time we have experienced this.
Took 20 minutes to get my coffee. They forgot my order. Approximately 15 people passed through and got coffees before me. Also this is the second time in the space of a week this happened me. Coffee is nice but not worth the wait.
Waited over 10 minutes before order was taken. Did not take the order in the way the cars arrived. Pretty annoying. I also noticed the price increase which is understandable, but due to the lack of service I won’t be coming back. I’ve had to wait an hour before, everyone behind me was given a coffee before me somehow (I had one coffee). I’ve given this place too many opportunities and will NEVER be back. After waiting over 20 minutes, I finally got my coffee and it was wrong. 🤓 I was the second car to get here and 5 cars left before I even got my order
