Avis sur Daniel's Coffee San Diego
Daniel’s Coffee is the one of the few, if not the only, coffee spots in Balboa Park. It’s a cute coffee cart located in the colorful Spanish Village Art Center that offers a variety of creative drinks. I got the lavender chai, and it was soso good! There were so many other drinks I wanted to try, so looks like I’ll have to go back for more. Even the worker at the botanical garden told us to try the drinks there, so that’s how you know it’s good. Try this place out! That way you can have a tasty drink while browsing the cute art shops there.
Enjoyed two drinks during our time at the Spanish Village Art Center - Large Decaf Peanut Butter Blended Drink ($9) and Honey Cinnamon Latte ($7). My husband said the latte was quite strong, but as the ice melted, it was delicious. The PB blended drink was so yummy!! Line was pretty long. They had several workers, and everything was made on the spot. I do wish the menu was more visible and included prices - it's placed right where you stand when you're ordering, so it's always covered.
Great Coffee, Variety, and Atmosphere! Daniel’s coffee stand is a fantastic spot for coffee lovers and more! They offer a wide variety of drinks, from rich coffees and teas to refreshing frappes and fruit smoothies. Also muffins, croissants, and other pastries, so there’s something for everyone. I tried the gingerbread latte, which was on the sweeter side—perfect for me since I have a sweet tooth, but something to keep in mind if you prefer less sweetness. Luckily, they also have non-sweet and sugar-free options. The coffee itself is high quality, smooth, and not acidic, which I really appreciated. The stand is colorful and inviting, the service is great, and the background Mexican music adds a fun touch to the experience. Definitely worth a visit!
☕️ Good coffee! 📍It is in the center of the square. So, if you wan to sit down, you’ll have to hunt for available table. 🧑🍳 Stuff is very nice and accommodating. Also, pretty quick to process the orders. So, don’t worry if there is a line. 🌳 Overall nice location to shop for local handmade items and have coffee at the same time.
Great spot! If you’re visiting Balboa Park and looking for a coffee shop, this is the one. I highly recommend the horchata and chocolate iced drinks, you really can’t go wrong with either, but horchata is the winner (I even convinced my girlfriend on that one!). They’re more focused on drinks and coffees here, so I suggest bringing your own snacks or little sandwiches if you plan to stay a while. It’s a perfect place for a date, a catch-up with friends, or just to enjoy the day. Super cozy vibes!
You can enjoy a delicious smoothie along with an exotic landscape.
Great little coffee cart tucked away in the art district courtyard that specializes in a delightful lavender chai latte. They offer Ghirardelli chocolate milk and hot chocolate for the kiddos, and have some pastry options if you’re feeling hungry. The coffee is a darker roast, not sure where they get it from, but it’s bold and rich and not over roasted. My iced americano was strong and delicious, the perfect pick me up for a beautiful San Diego morning in Balboa Park.
Daniel’s Coffee is a gem with an awesome outdoor vibe. The Mexican mocha is a standout—perfectly spiced and creamy, it’s a must-try. The outdoor seating area has a cool, artsy feel that really adds to the overall experience. Highly recommend checking it out!
Absolutely love this place. A neatly designed coffee cart in the middle of Spanish Art Village in Balboa Park. Perfect place to spot by for a refreshing caffeine fix on a hot day. The menu is extensive, offering many original coffee specialities such as lattes, espressos, mochas, and frappes. They also sell lemonades, teas, and bakery goods. I love their vibrant, colorful menu aesthetic. I got the strawberry horchata latte as a large for around $6. I almost sucked it right up, it was so creamy and refreshing. There are few tables to sit by and it's in a great area. Very aesthetic and humble, the baristas are also so nice and accommodating.
This coffee is SO good. So many options, sweet upon request but ALWAYS strong. I get this almost every time I'm in Balboa Park- highly recommend!
Calling all coffee enthusiasts! If you find yourself in San Diego, Daniel's Coffee is an absolute treasure waiting to be discovered. Tucked away near the zoo, this charming café boasts an amazing location that sets the perfect scene for your next coffee adventure. But the real star here is their hot chocolate—it's a tantalizing blend of velvety goodness that will have you coming back for more. Trust me; this hidden gem deserves all five stars! ☕🍫🐾
The service and snacks here are out of this world. This place is such a San Diego gem! Nestled right in the heart of the Spanish Art Village, it offers a refreshing reprieve from a hard day of looking at beautiful art. Please go here and support these artists in any way possible they offer such value to our world! Oh and buy a blended oat latte and a blueberry muffin from Daniel’s because it’s amazing!
Coffee From Heaven Quality crafted coffee and smoothies and it's not over priced. The staff is awesome and brought a bowl of ice water for our dog. We'll be back there every time we're over that way. My dog and I appreciated the caring. Thank you.
Bought a cup of delicious Mexican Mocha here and settled down on the many benches nearby while taking in the beautiful sights of the Spanish Village Art Center and enjoying the breeze. There's also restrooms nearby. Very chill place to relax your feet after walking around Balboa Park.
Stopped by here after a long afternoon strolling around Balboa Park and the Japanese Gardens. Service was extremely friendly! I got the Queen Bee (a honey latte with cinnamon), and it was delicious. There’s tons of outdoor seating around to relax and enjoy your drink!
I've tried the mango smoothie, peanut butter frappe and java chip frappe. Smoothie was refreshing and frappes were good and strong, (I'm not much of a caffeine drinker, so it may not be strong for someone who is). They transitioned to compostable straws, but if you have your own reusable straw, it may be better than the paper straws. Some items on the menu are seasonal. It's nestled in between a lot of cool art studios.

If you are ever in Balboa Park, Daniel’s Coffee is the place to grab an amazing cup of coffee. Let’s just say it is so good you will be thinking about the coffee your entire trip in San Diego. It is truly a beautiful cup of coffee. My cousin and I extremely enjoyed the Biscoff Crumble iced coffee; it was truly perfect. The service was fantastic and the beautiful energy received from the staff will always have you going back for more.

I love their coffee, seasonal drinks, and the amazing service I always get here. I enjoy their Strawberry Horchata with espresso, the raspberry mocha, and the peach green tea lemonade!!! They have a line whenever I go, but they move through the line quickly, and the drinks are consistently delicious!

Tucked away in the charming Village at Balboa Park, Daniel's Coffee is an absolute gem—and their Biscoff Crumble Latte is a must-try! I stopped by on a quiet afternoon and was immediately drawn in by the cozy, inviting atmosphere with an outdoor seating. The Biscoff Crumble Latte had spiced flavor of Biscoff cookies infused into a smooth, well-balanced espresso, topped with a generous crumble that added a delightful crunch to every sip. Sweet but not overwhelming, it’s like dessert in a cup—but better.
This small coffee stall right by Balboa Park is a convenient stop if you’re nearby and want something quick without leaving the area. It’s a cute little setup with quick service and good overall vibes — most reviews seem to agree. I had the regular size 16oz strawberry matcha ($7.75) and coconut matcha ($8). Both were actually quite good! The coconut matcha had a nice texture and wasn’t too sweet, but the matcha foam leaned more toward a creamy/milky taste, which slightly overpowered the matcha flavor. Still enjoyable, just not as matcha-forward as I’d prefer. The strawberry matcha came with real chunky strawberry jam, which gave it a nice texture. A little sweeter than I’d usually like, but still pretty enjoyable overall. One downside: no visible menu with prices. For a casual stall with drinks at this price point, I’d personally appreciate knowing the cost before ordering. It would make the experience feel more transparent.
Great smoothies, inside the Spanish village so one has a very nice Ambiente, however service not overly friendly. The smoothie however make it still a 4-star review!

Good for when you’re thirsty. That’s pretty much it. Outdoors on a stand. Drinks are mid. Again. Good for when you’re thirsty.
