Pacific Cafe and Catering

I spend a lot of time in hospitals and have had way too much cafeteria food, I try to find an alternative. This place was a pleasant surprise. I have never been disappointed. I try to stick to the specials.

Super cute cafe, several options, staff was very friendly, nice relaxing location in a place that can be very stressful, my daughter in law did not like her mango smoothie because it had orange juice and the replaced it with a different one without any trouble

Probably best place to eat at UCSD campus east of the 5. Lots of choices, great quality, wonderful staff.

The staff is always friendly and professional; the wraps are always good.

I would not normally take time to leave a review (let alone a positive one) for a hospital cafe, but this place was a little oasis in the middle of a tough day of appointments. Great coffee, solid breakfast fare and the staff were very nice.

Love getting food here. Everyone is always so nice and cheerful. The food is always great and made just the way I ordered. I love getting lunch here whenever I can't pack my own. The tuna melt especially is very delicious.

I have worked and eaten in hospital and medical center complexes for more than 30 years, and this place has the best food and service of any such place by far. The menu is far-ranging, including great salads, sandwiches, wraps, burritos, pizzas, pasta, soups, smoothies, coffee, and more. They are always busy because employees and patients come from all the hospitals to eat here, but they are unfailingly professional, friendly, and fast. Food is served hot with good quality ingredients. Try the chipotle chicken rice bowl, penne bolognese, turkey wrap, or a tuna salad sandwich on wheat. I have eaten lunch here most days since the building opened new (seven years ago), and everything I've had is honestly good. Not your typical hospital cafeteria food! The staff is impressively hard working and remembers everyone's names and special orders, always working to provide whatever you want. Give them all raises, for goodness sake! Gotta go now. My black bean chili and strawberry banana smoothie await. 🤤

It's more like cafeteria to order food and pick it up. The variety of food on the menu was extensive given its small size. The seating was very comfortable and well spread out

I liked that blackened chicken salad

It was my first time ordering here, I got the soup of the day which was Tuscan with Sausage, spinach and potato. I got the cup and I was suprised how much they served. There was maybe 2 little peaces of sausage no potatoes and about 3-4 peaces of a carrot, zuchini onion and some spinach. It was mostly broth.

My turkeyburger was all burnt on the outside and the greek wrap was really soggy. And they use a lot of plastic even with french fries

There self ordering kiosk malfunctioned only ordered 2 of something and charged me 3 and would not give me a refund especially cause I was using medical trip funds unprofessional by them
