A nice surprise! The sushi and bento box were yummy. The saki was delicious. The staff were very nice and let my dog sit under the table while we ate.

This is my go to sushi place as an Obecian. The sushi is excellent and the rolls are good in size. The happy hour prices are the best deal for great sushi, beer and sake! I like to sit and eat at one of the two areas overlooking the sidewalk and street... it's better than tv. The staff have always been friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I wish I was there eating now!

They have a variety of options that satisfy all of our family members. We came here yesterday (Sunday) and the restaurant is packed, but the service is fast and efficient. We ordered mostly sushi and some kitchen apps and bentos for the kids and all was reported very tasty. The fish quality is top tier. Best happy hour in town so we ate good and it didn't hurt our wallet. Highly recommended!!! We will be back soon.

OB Sushiya has a great vibe and attentive service. The menu has a large selection of sushi and non-sushi items and appetizers. They also has vegetarian options! I ordered a no-rice roll and it was very fresh, beautifully plated and affordable! They have the best happy hour in OB in my opinion with great discounts from 12-6pm daily.

This place is amazing. The place is clean. We had sushi, sashimi, miso, the works. Everything tasted amazing. The sashimi was some of the best I have ever had. The sake tasted fresh and delightful.

S-tier hidden gem of a sushi spot. The Happy Bento is mind blowing every time. The Saba nigiri will actually make you swoon a little bit. Miso soup is insane. Salmon is pure butter. I bring everyone here and they genuinely cry tears of joy. Cannot recommend enough

My toddler really wanted sushi. We happened to walk past this place and she thought it smelled great. I really wanted a grilled cheese from Hodad's but she always wins. It proved to be a great choice. Every roll we ordered tasted phenomenal. We got one Cali roll, baked salmon and a fried tempura type roll that was really really good. The atmosphere was nice. Pleasant decorations and ambiance. However, the bathroom was gross. Not just messy and unkempt, but pretty run down looking. The service was ok. Both ladies that waited on me seemed nice enough. The other patrons in the restaurant also seemed nice. There were lots of other kids. Another mom came over and talked to us. It was a great experience.

We wanted to come back again for more sushi before we left San Diego, but we ran out of time! We had the Las Vegas Roll, the Baked Salmon Roll, the Mexican Roll and the Shrimp Tempura Roll and they were all amazing!

Fair sushi in a fair space with subpar service. Once we got our food no one ever came back to us. Had to get up to get someone’s attention. Good location for us but there’s better sushi on the same street.

The food didn’t taste fresh.. and it seemed that my fried sushi was somehow reheated in the microwave.. don’t recommend.. maybe try something else if you want authentic. This place is not it.. bummer.. I really wanted to like it.

Had fried Katsu and it was terrible. Chicken was a flavor I don’t ever want again. The rice was not good either and the sauce for dipping tasted old. The miso soup was good as was the calamari and fried wontons. I don’t feel very good after that meal tho gotta be honest
