Didn’t know this place existed until I stumbled into Sieu Sieu BBQ restaurant while visiting another store in the same plaza. No frills restaurant but authentic Cantonese BBQ! When they were chopping the roast pig in pieces, I can hear the crispy sound of the skin. 3 hours at dinner time, the roast pig skin is still crispy and the meat was perfectly seasoned (not too salty)!!! Also got a salted chicken. It was cooked just right, no blood still in the bone. Meat was juicy and tender. They also gave a big container of ginger onion condiment for dipping sauce. Yummy! Price is still a little cheaper than other nearby BBQ stores. Plenty of parking spaces. This is the place for roasted pork and BBQ items. We will be back for more!
Best Cantonese (Chinese) BBQ in town, which is really just a hole in the wall place. (They haven't bothered to take down the old menu from the original Hawaiian restaurant that used to be in this place many, many years ago). Roast pork is their specialty and is fresh every morning from 9 to 10 am. (They roast one or two pigs a day, so there's another shot at the fresh-out-of-the-oven goodness roasted whole pig sometimes later on some of the days). Roast duck is also good. My only complaint is that they don't have any veggies to go in the rice/noodle dishes, other than some pickled cabbage. Cash only.
Yummy chinese BBQ meats. Tried BBQ pork and BBQ duck (less fatty variation of Chinese roast duck though perhaps a bit drier) and were both excellent. With Covid, I don't see their other cooked dishes in the counter. Also no eat in at the moment. I like them better than other restaurants along Convoy area that also serve Chinese BBQ (Jasmine, Sam Woo, etc.), maybe because they have a small and specialized menu of Chinese BBQ meats only. Highly recommend but limited menu for this Mom and Pop operation.
Outstanding! A small strip mall shop. No frills , but they don't skimp. Pictured is the two items combo. Duck and BBQ pork. $11.80. So moist and delicious. Cash only.
I love this place. Few years ago I bought the whole crispy skin roast pig for wedding. That was great. Today I bought crispy skin roast pig and pha lau.
$11 combo. Pork, white rice and some tasty pickled veg. Nice surprise.
Their two kinds of roast duck, roast pig, cha sui are all cooked to perfection! Won ton & sui gow mein are tasty and great!

Roasted pork was juicy so was the BBQ very tender. Delicious 😋
Don’t let the spartan atmosphere fool you. The bbq pork and bbq duck are fantastic. I stop by whenever I’m in the area. The crispy skin is amazing.
To go only Chinese BBQ restaurant. No indoor dining. Only sell specialty Cantonese BBQ duck, pork, and a few specialized food items, like roast ducks and whole BBQ pig. (Cut to bite size, or intact for dinner time table top decoration). Great taste dinner fare you would never forget. Mostly repeating customers who want to add to their dinner table for casual or special occasions. Staff are friendly, and prices are very reasonable.
Whoa, whoa, whoa! No ambiance but lots of character, no frills, some nasty bits stewing, an old menu sign that was probably more trouble than it's worth to take down so they covered it with a towel. While there in pretty sure most of the patrons spoke only a little english :-). There were several whole roasted ducks hanging in the large glass oven/warmer thing along with large portions of pig sections. I got the #5 duck and pork with rice for 9 bucks! DAMN! I rarely if ever write reviews but this place deserves another good one. The food was awesome and came with a small side of Spicy pickled cabbage. In case you were wondering, just do it, thus place is awesome with good service and the food is the ish!
This was my first time eating here and i’m looking forward to trying more options. Got a rice plate with pork and vegtables. Hot, delicious and very friendly service. Thank for the amazing food !
This has been my number one place to go to for the most delicious and most freshly cooked, roasted pig, regular, whole-roasted duck, and whole roasted-open duck in the whole San Diego county!! I also like their roasted pig feet and head!!😋 I have been going here for about over two decades. I have not tried their other dishes though. My favorite dish is their whole, open roasted duck!! It's really tasty and has a lot less fat than the regular, roasted one, but it still has the right amount of moisture and flavor in the meat, except the head. The duck head is sometimes dry if it is later in the afternoon. I usually get it during their first batch in the morning when they first open at 9:30am. The Cantonese lady who's also fluent in Vietnamese and English would always ask me if I want my duck to be cut. I like to watch her cutting the whole duck into nice bite sizes and all into a box nicely and neatly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes the dishes I mentioned here!

Very Mom and Pop shop but it's very good, tasteful food. Come early if you're a fan of delicate portion of pork that you won't find in other Asian/Chinese restaurant.

Whenever I've visited Sieu Sieu BBQ, I've always gotten a weird vibe from the two ladies that work here, despite the number of times I've given them repeat business. It is as if they are intensely suspicious of something about me. This last time, as I took photos of the food, one of the women shouted over to me, "no cameras." "Why?" I asked. "Because. No cameras." What an odd rule, and an odder way to respond to a customer. I paid my $8 for their Roast Pork with its beautiful crackly skin, and its lightly sweetened meat, knowing it was sadly going to be my last time here. This place is good, but not good enough to overcome having to deal with this kind of bizarre and unwelcoming treatment from its proprietors.

Not bad. I think there's better options for this around here. Better meat quality and crispier pork.

Meats are cold As a Asian tasted really Cantonese cuisine, Roasted duck is ok, roasted belly is bad.

We went there today to get Whole Roasted Duck. We had them chop up and box. When we got home, open the box, almost half of the duck were missing. What in the box was not the “whole” duck! Where’re the rest of it?!? We can only assume, while we distracted, they chopped and boxed up in the back, their people didnt put all our duck meat in the box. For over $35+tax and tip, this place Really suck! We got ripped off in the end….

It used to be very good place for roasted(barbeque) duck. Not anymore! I bought the whole duck today, asking the owner if it was cooked the same TRADITIONAL WAY AS BEFORE AND SHE ASSURED ME yes. That was a big lie! The duck cooked without any spices, very blend, like they just put the duck in the oven and baked it. Nothing even close to Chinese barbeque duck. Do not waste your $33 at this place, There are few nearby places selling real Chinese barbeque duck!
Don't go there!!! Went in did not not acknowledged. They didn't even know that I was there till I said excuse me. This was after a few minutes. After that, they didn't say hello or anything. I asked if they had a menu that I can look at. They said no, then went back to to talking to themselves. Very rude. So not sure about how good the food was. Didn't get achance to taste. Was disgusted with the service. Don't go there unless you like to be treated with no service service at all. Learn how to provide better service to your customers!!!!
