Fun bar, music is usually millennial top 40 music. They finally started accepting credit cards and is not cash only anymore
Great atmosphere with salsa nights on wednesdays. The martinis are great and the crowd es very cool
Best mezcal margaritas in town! They have live music with well Known local bands. A Must visit if you are in the neighborhood!
Love love love this bar. I went during happy hour and got martinis for a great price. There are so many options and I was so overwhelmed but I told the bartender what type of spirits I like/ my fave drinks and he made me a delicious martini. The best part about this place is you get the entire shaker full - not just your glass. Great music in the background as well!
Kindly take note of this delightful disclaimer: I proudly award this spot a well-deserved five stars for its delectable food, and here's why – the garnishes they craft for their extraordinary cocktails can sometimes become a delightful appetizer before your main meal! 😄 An icon in San Francisco, this martini bar on Valencia Street is the perfect pre-dinner, post-dinner, and all-around gathering place. Whether you seek solace on the little porch out front or enjoy the vibrant atmosphere inside, it's a true hidden gem nestled in the heart of Mission. Don't miss the chance to experience this fantastic spot – make sure to stop by and say hello at least once! Cheers! 🍸
Excellent atmosphere and one of the best bars in the city. Had 3 tortas buying me drinks. Made a torta sandwich later that night. Your results may vary but worth a shot. It's sf so ofc pay for a parking garage spot and avoid getting bipped.
Great live music. Live music started around 9pm. Tuesday nights have an awesome funk/jazz feel to em. Highly recommended to check it out. Also their vodka martinis are enormous! Great location.
Cash only cocktail bar, with a specialty in martinis. The cocktails and martinis are big! They come with a sidecar, so only a couple orders can last you a long while. They have a stage/dance area and later in the night they play music and becomes more club-like. The vibe is great and a lot of fun.
Really nice bar with a great selection of drinks. You even get a whole big glass filled with ice and your favorite drink to top yours up after a while. I definitely recommend this place for a few nice drinks and a great night out. It's cash only at the bar but there is an ATM at the back end of the bar so you don't have to worry.
Blondies is amazing, and I go every week. They have a great little stage where you will find music most nights, and it's always wonderful. They have excellent classic drinks that are reasonably priced, which is rare in san francisco! It's relaxed, friendly, clean, welcoming. The door guy is the sweetest, the bartender is really good at her job. There's dancing and everyone is welcoming. We are so grateful for this neighborhood spot. I don't even live in the neighborhood and I make a point to go weekly after work. Go to blondies! You won't regret it.
Blondie’s great. Their cocktails are good and I enjoy their version of an espresso martini. I appreciate the bouncers that because they were keeping an eye on the dance floor throughout the night and quick to remove anyone who was making someone uncomfortable. I felt safe here. My only complaint is they need more bathrooms.
Such a great place, I used to come here on Wednesdays after work to do all my billing and coding, which was a pain in the butt, but a martini made it easier. Cool bartenders. And the owner is a gem. Good music. And the biggest martini you’ve ever had. Make sure you get the olives
Awesome music venue in a relaxed, non pressure, no door fee, only check ID. Cash only for drinks. Best Martinis (Dirty, Daiquiri) & cocktails (Woody) very generous portion, almost 2&1/2 extra come with martini glass and extra tall glaaa. If non alcoholic choice (Hoppy Water by Lagunitas)
Really cool bar to have the American experience like a local. We came with a group of friends and a blues band was playing, they were amazing! The vibe was awesome, people were dancing or just talking, you could feel like if you were surrounded by friends. The drinks and beer price was okey and the bartenders were nice, we had the best of time. I’d definitely come back if I have the chance.
I had one of the best times of my life in Blondies’ bar, seriously! There was an awesome blues band playing with a phenomenal atmosphere. Don’t know their name, but they were incredible. Good offer of drinks and definitely payable. Would come back next time to Blondies’ bar!
We really loved visiting and hanging out at Blondie’s! Michael was an incredible bartender and host — friendly, knowledgable and also a great DJ. We loved the music and the vibes. We’ll definitely swing by the next time we’re in town from the east coast. PS the flavor and generous serving size = worth it!
Love this place in the mission! Best music and the cocktails are one of a kind! Went on a Saturday night and the DJ was playing a good variety of old school and new music! I want to come back on the Wednesday that they have the salsa band. I heard it was poppin!
Yummy drinks, friendly bartender, great live music.

Blondie’s is my happy place! The bartenders are always friendly and sociable and they have a great spread of tasty non alcoholic options in addition to the usuals. The bar and the dance floor both have a row of seating around it and there are 2-3 booths as well as a little awning where you can people watch on Valencia or get a breath of cool air between dances. The dance floor is so smooth and never sticky, and the lineup of bands almost every night with a variety of styles is amazing!
Michael was the bartender on duty tonight and curated the most fire playlist. The music was so good I stayed for a second round. Cute bar, good specials for HH, mixed clientele, and pretty relaxed at 6:30PM on a Saturday. Glad I stopped in!

Fun dive bar. Good live music and room for dancing. Booths are great for intimacy too. Prices are kinda all over. Some cocktails are average priced with some a bit more. Haven't tried the happy hour. They allow you to bring in food. Gets pretty packed though which kills the dive atmosphere a bit.
I like this place to go dancing. It's small and tends to get crowded, so be prepared to sweat a lot inside. There are two bars, and if you just want a beer, I'd suggest going to the smaller bar inside. Cash only, but they have an ATM on site. Their martinis are very good, and each drink is almost enough for two people / two normal drinks. Pretty good music to dance to. They play hip hop, and a few Latin numbers. The crowd is mostly fun too.
A great bar with great taste in music (with the right DJ, of course) with a small-medium dance floor. They've transitioned to cash only for their drinks but the prices remain the same so it's a bit inconvenient. The cover at the door is only $5 which isn't too bad. They also have a small bar in the back if you want to talk instead of dance.
This is a nice bar on Valencia Street. The atmosphere is very nice and the bartender is also cool. There are restrooms inside. A large variety of drinks is available here.

If you love martinis, if you hate martinis, Blondie's is a good time. It's been my first stop of the night and my last. Staff has always been super friendly. Very fab!

A good large menu and definitely a lot of people but even as far as SF bars go it’s totally packed on Friday/Saturday The floor is soaked and it’s really hot in there plus there is literally CONSTANT traffic because the bar is **cash only** so there are people going back and forth from the bar to the ATM at all times. The drinks weren’t too bad and there’s some sitting areas but for the most part you’re backed into a corner with people walking around Music was fine. It’s a cool vibe inside so worth a look but definitely wouldn’t make this your whole night
Nothing wrong with the bar except the attitude conveyed by the sign. So, I need to tip 20% before they will give me prompt service? They didn’t even get the English right. (It is “get served promptly”). I will not be back.
Got charged 18$ for a Valencia cocktail. This place is too simple to charge clients so much for cocktails. Owner says they gave you extra glass ? I didn't get anything like that. Try Delirium on Guerrero, 8$ for drinks and STRONG drinks. They don't play with you with oz or milligrams.

One of the worse drink I’ve had in a long time but was a very large amount for the price and I enjoyed the little heated outside
Don’t come here often but yesterday will be the last time. Get there a few minutes before happy hour ended, put in our order before the deadline, took forever for our drinks because of a backlog and bartender was horsing around. charged full price. Was told $28 for two margaritas, and then charged $38… for a dive bar? At 8pm with like twelve ppl there? Out of your mind. The margs sucked too, screwed up on the type of tequila as well.
I've been going to blondies for years. It has really changed a lot since the pandemic. The drinks are smaller even though they still give you the shaker cup your martini glass is only halfway filled. The bartenders are quick but not friendly or welcoming. I know a lot of bartenders who are super busy with crowds but still take the time to acknowledge and smile. The worst part about this place is this old man, with zero personality, who stands at the edge of the stage and stares through to everyone's soul. He's a bouncer. But the intensity at which he scans the room and stares at each person while standing above them is pretty creepy and uncomfortable. Blondies definitely lost its appeal.

Ive been coming here for over 20 years, when Blondie used to dance on the bar. It had always been cash only, no prices ever listed on the chalk board, so I knew what to expect. What I didn't expect...they now accept credit cards. So I decided to pay with a credit card and was surprised to see an automatic 20% gratuity. When I inquiried about the automatic gratuity and if its posted, I was told it was posted. Well, its posted on a small board, not legible in the dark far from where I ordered our drinks. I wish I was advised of the automatic gratuity beforehand, not cool! I don't like being forced to an automatic gratuity, this has pretty much gotten out of control everywhere. Yes, I know as a small business credit card fees are a pain, but its the cost of doing business. Blondies...be more transparent!

my friends and I use to like this place, but it has gone way downhill sadly. we have had repeated issues with really bad service, bad attitude, and impoliteness of the bartenders. this past Sunday afternoon was kinda the last straw, so that's that with this place.
Great bar, but I stepped outside for a cigarette and they told me the next time I did so I’d have to pay cover to re-enter. This was a shame as we had spent a large amount and the place was really cool. I was looking forward to dancing. Instead we just left.
Live music is cool. But they refused to let me in with my skateboard; first time an SF bar has told me that. *update: This happened Wednesday evening. ~9pm 03/20/2024
Good place for drinks, and dancing! The place used to be cool, but after being closed for so long because of Covid, now that they're open they have a bartender that is super rude. A girl with short hair that worked last night 03/18 was super rude. If you're unhappy with your job, you should quit. We were having a lot of fun, but customers and everyone should be treated with respect. She was super rude yelling at us that we couldn't wait close to the restroom. There's several ways that you can give instructions to your customers, but definitely yelling at them and being rude is not the best way. After being home for a year, you finally go out to be mistreated. Unbelievable! Managers you should address this! Your staff shouldn't be that rude.
Last night I was about to enter the bar showing my ID with 5 other friends. The security at the door told me that we need to pay cover charges. Before I could say anything, the guy gave a demeaning expression and continued “you have been here thrice tonight and oh do not act as if you dont know this”. Firstly, “manners”. Secondly, we were there to try this rude-staffed bar on a friend’s suggestion so it was pretty much our first time. Thirdly, had I known the fact also, the communication would have been a bit more polite PS- I could see the guy at the door(maybe drunk or something) talking differently to different “set” of people, so it seems that the other reviews on security/staff being racist is kind of accurate.
Bar tender is extremely rude and likes to yell at paying customers for no reason. We come in and he only takes 1 of our orders and as I try to order he said he would be right back. Proceeds to take everybody else’s order around the bar even the people next to us and then yells at us for looking at him saying to order together. It’s absurd as they even have an etiquette sign right above.
I had the most beautiful night dancing.. I danced my heart away. Unfortunately all that dancing worked up a thirst. When I looked to a friendly bar person for a drink of water they asked me to mortgage my house just for a measly soda water. I love Blondies (in the literal sense, not the bar)
This place decided to kick a group of us out because we were there for more than 10 minutes and were too loud. Paid $10 cover to then be told to leave. Bouncers had a lot of miscommunication when one bouncer told us to leave and not come back, and then another told us to come back a minute later?? Really weird they kicked us out and not the guys that were touching my friends without their consent… I’ve heard of a lot of reviews from frequenters that the culture has become very cliquey and rude on the staff’s part. If you want a fun time, don’t go here…

Such a disappointing bar for a $10 cover. Will never come again

20% mandatory tip, yet bartender refuses to bring you water. 20% tip is fine, but provide some semblance of service! No second drink brought! Bad manhattan cocktail also for $28+!
