Wow, this diner is amazing! It quickly became our favourite spot for breakfast. The service is fantastic, and they never stop refilling our coffee. Plus, the food is delicious and super affordable.

Went there 5 AM due to jetlag. It was very authentic and tasty. Loved the coffee mugs, the seat isles, the food and the service. We had no waiting time due to the time of the day and the breakfast included awesome music in the morning. Would do it all again.

The steak and eggs were good and cooked to order. The sourdough bread toast was also good. I also liked the grapefruit juice. Not a cheap breakfast ($32 not including tip), but I wouldn’t expect steak to be cheap, and it was a good portion (9oz). I saw in some previous reviews that people complained about the wait time and service. I was able to sit at the breakfast counter immediately, even though there was a small line for a table. Service was prompt & friendly.

My wife and I visited here on a Tuesday morning. We had to wait for a table but it was worth it. I had the ham and cheese omelet with hash browns and rye toast. My wife had the Greek yogurt with mixed fruit and granola. We both had coffee to drink. The food was served very fast. Both meals were very delicious. Nice friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Servers are very friendly and are hardworking. We will definitely come here again.

Had a great experience at Pinecrest Diner in San Francisco! We ordered the fluffy, moist pancakes, a juicy New York steak, and an omelette with American cheese—everything was cooked beautifully. It’s a classic American diner with that cozy, nostalgic charm I love. The flowing coffee was a perfect touch to complete the meal. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving a hearty, all-American breakfast!

Went here for a brunch and really liked the place. It's a proper authentic place with a wide array of food options, no bullshit just good food. Has all the classic options and contains exactly what you need. I had the waffle and fried chicken, which I gotta say I was surprised by, the amount of chicken was very generous and quite a bit more than I expected. The omelette was delicious and well prepared, together with some delicious sourdough toast. The staff was friendly, but the service could have been better. It took quite a bit of time for the waiter to get our order, and then quite a wait for the food to arrive. I would definitely recommend going here.

I got tired of the catered food at the Westin and wanted a hearty meal. The local IATSI crew recommended “ The mighty moose “. Insanely large platter full of well executed biscuits and gravy over hash browns with a chicken fried steak and eggs. The food is not the prettiest but it sure was delicious. The add on chicken fried steak for $3 is a great deal but an appetite is needed when ordering this platter, because it is huge !!! Service was quick as they got me in and out in 25 minutes which i appreciated.

I'm someone that's from Austin, not SF so this review might hit a little different. I've seen a lot of diners close down in Austin due to rising costs, so I was pleasantly surprised to find one in San Francisco. As soon as I walked in, it was a little hard to find a spot because this place was so busy despite it starting to get late. That said, once I sat down, the service was decent. I struggled a bit to get refills and a food order in maybe because they were so busy, but once I did things started to move more quickly from there. The belgian waffle I got with chocolate chips was literally one of the best diner waffles I've had in my life, plus I got a neat show seeing one of the cooks make food in front of me with an open flame. I'll definitely hit this place up next time I come to San Francisco, this diner was one of the places that made me want to come back!

Great place to grab a bite before the show at the Curran! I really liked the turkey burger. I swapped a turkey patty for the beef on one of the options. My friend called ahead and they were very happy to accommodate a GF meal.

It’s quick, friendly diner. Nothing extraordinary, just plain pancakes, hash browns, waffles, coffee and omelette. TBH, had better pancakes, omelettes, hash browns and waffles. There was nothing that actually stood out. We lined up with everyone else after we landed at SF 7am. We will be staying in the neighborhood for four days, won’t be coming back. It’s not bad but it’s not great. Just nondescript ordinary diner breakfast.

This place is a scam and openly racist. I ordered the 32$ dish and received 62$ bill They added a $30 charge for a “sauce” to my bill without my consent —This is a clear case of deceptive billing and a violation of U.S. consumer protection standards, including the Federal Trade Commission Act (FTC Act). After I told them that they were trying to scam me, they started openly hating on me. video evidence confirming this . I experienced open hostility and hate, apparently because I guess because I’m white woman there. The hostility came both from the staff and from other customers, and the establishment did absolutely nothing to stop it. If you are a white person, do not enter this place unless you want to experience open resentment, hostility, and discrimination. This behavior is fraudulent, racist, and completely unacceptable. This business should be reported to the appropriate authorities and should not be operating this way.

I went there for dinner as the whole “open 24 hours” thing seemed quite appealing. Ended up ordering a beef patty with chips and a couple of drinks. To be honest, the food was nothing special at all, rather average really, and certainly not cheap for what it was. On top of that, the staff weren’t particularly friendly or attentive. Overall, a pretty disappointing experience.
