Avis sur Sunset Commons San Francisco
Such a cozy, cheerful space to make art and spend time, whether you’re with friends or enjoying some solo creativity. The owners were absolutely lovely, and their genuine care for building a welcoming community really shines through. I loved the snack and beverage options, as well as the thoughtful variety of crafts to choose from. I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!
What an amazing space! We rented Sunset Commons for a private event and it was more than we could have hoped for thanks to the atmosphere and accommodations provided by Carmen. Carmen was extremely helpful from before we even booked and supported our event from setup through cleanup. Everyone at our event - locals and out-of-towners - loved the space and many made purchases of delicious drinks and fun crafts which they thoroughly enjoyed. Can't recommend Sunset Commons enough and can't wait to be back for regular crafts and workshops.
This arts and crafts café is my kind of place!!🧡 I’ve always been a creative person who enjoys trying different arts and crafts so it was exciting to find out about this place :D !! I visited here with friends for the first time today, on a rainy day for drop-in crafts🧵🪡🖌️. It was nice as there were only two other people there so it was peaceful😌. The inside was really cute with the back wall displaying all the craft options, thrifted tables and chairs, and lots of hanging plants by the windows. I chose to do a paint-by-numbers painting🎨, one of my friends chose a bee crochet craft🐝, and my other friend chose an air dry clay cactus pot craft🌵. I ordered a hot chai and my friend ordered some macarons to have while we were creating which were both really good. You pay for your craft and order food or drinks at the cashier by the front. I worked on my painting for about 40 minutes, then took a break and played with some of the remaining air dry clay from my friend’s craft. Since I didn’t finish my painting, I wrote my name on it and left it in a cubby to come back another day to finish as you have to use the numbered paints in-house. I’m thinking of attending one of their future workshops as well since they have a good variety and sound like a lot of fun! Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and the staff was very friendly and helpful💖
Just attended the Linoleum workshop - our instructor Matt was super chill and a great teacher! It was really cool meeting new people, everyone is so creative and talented! Would def drop by again for another workshop when I have time.
Cafe with tables, art, community arts classes. A beautiful mural depicting the Sunset is the first thing you see when you enter. On the left, there's a counter to order drinks and food and to pay for DIY kits. Unlike most of America, the prices here include taxes and fees. On the right, there are a lot of tables and DIY kits on display. They are a little pricy. ADA accessible restroom available. I had an iced hojicha latte ($6) and it was creamy and intense in flavor. I recommend getting it if you want to try something like a matcha latte with notes of black sesame.
Dropped by after reading an article in the Sunset Beacon about the Grand Opening and I’m glad I did! I cannot wait to participate in some of the activities they are offering and until then, enjoying a cream soda while catching up on work and their amazing chocolat cake with tea!
Cutest cozy craft spot 🎨💕 Stopped by Tuesday afternoon for a Tiramisu cake (10/10 🍰) + drinks! You can craft here, host private events, and shop Woobles, Air dry clay, Embroidery kits, Paint by numbers and many more! If you are a blind box fanatic they also sell labubus and smiskis!✨ --
I just wandered in for a matcha and I'm obsessed with this place! I can't wait to come back for a visible mending class! I love that a third space like this exists!
Relaxing space to craft. Both moms and our daughters (7) enjoyed some quality time and Hojicha Lattes.
A truly wonderful addition to the neighborhood and community space that hosted a terrarium workshop! My hojicha latte was terrificcc. Music was on point and met some new friends during the event! Will be coming back for other workshops and to work/study.
I came for their terrarium workshop. It was so much fun and you could tell that the organizers put a lot of thought into the event. I hope they bring back the workshop in the future!

Such a warm and comfortable space to feel like you’re part of the community :) it’s awesome to have a place to explore all kinds of crafts! Highly recommend for people of all ages.
Cute creative space in the neighborhood! I took my first knitting class and was able to make cute miniature accessories by the end of it.
I took a Block Printing class at Sunset Commons recently during soft opening. The space was really well-lit, cozy, and clean. The class was at 6pm and I was able to find parking a quick walk away. The class itself was awesome. The instructors made things very approachable. Everybody was very friendly and I walked away with a customized tote bag! It sounds like on non-class nights, the space will also be a community hang out spot. I’ll definitely be back either for more classes or just to do some crafts with the kits they sell there.
Such a fun space! We came for a workshop and Carmen, one of the co-owners, was so warm and welcoming. Jasmine was a great teacher for the workshop and did an excellent job at teaching and helping out! They’ve done a great job creating a third place for the community! Would highly recommend coming through and getting hands on with crafts and disconnecting from the outside world and connecting with the local community here!
Great place. I took the knitting workshop for complete beginners, and the instructor Lizz was both very supportive and knowledgable about the craft. Had a great time! And the atmosphere of the place was very cozy, and there was live music playing that night which was a pleasant surprise
I had such a wonderful experience here! The service was truly outstanding, and the hospitality made me feel so welcome. The owner was incredibly friendly and had a fantastic grasp of art and crafts. It's rare to find someone so passionate and knowledgeable. Definitely a must-visit!
My daughter and her friend had an amazing time at Sunset Commons. We chose DIY kits and made air dry clay creations together. We also ordered hojicha lattes from the cafe and they were delicious. What a gem of a new place in our neighborhood, we will definitely be back!!!!
My go to place to study as they have lots of seating and WiFi or to have a cozy place to craft! Snacks and matcha are so yummy and everyone who runs sunset common including the owners and baristas are so kind and welcoming!! Truly one of the best spots in the sunset community and sf! Also their matcha is sooo good!
I have taken two workshops at Sunset Commons and enjoyed both! Carmen has created a great third space for the neighborhood and community, and makes sure everyone feels included while providing a space to get creative! Great drinks and prices as well!
I love Sunset Commons! I took a beginning, 4-part sweater knitting class at Sunset Commons and thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt a strong sense of community there and got a beautiful sweater out of it. It is a calming space to be in and I plan on taking more of their classes.
Rented the space for a private birthday party and it was perfect! They set up speakers, a projector, and screen for me to host trivia, and there were plenty of seats and tables to accommodate my party of 40 people. The space was already beautiful and the hosts were incredibly responsive. Can't wait to come back during regular business hours for crafting!!
Loved walking by this place while it was still under works for opening up and checking out their progress, and now that they’re finally open I love popping in just to work on my laptop, grab a drink, and catch up with friends. The owners did such a good job of creating a warm, welcoming, cozy atmosphere. Feels like you’re relaxing in your artistic friend’s living room! Love the wide variety of events they have. The drinks are super yummy too, esp the Hojicha latte and jujube drink.

I'm here at Sunset Commons right now, and I'm delighted for another local coffee/tea place close to where I live. It's got so much great seating, perfect for getting work done/studying. I'm eating their chocolate cake right now, and it's delicious. I also love that their mission is about bringing more arts and crafts into the community, we need more of that in our world today. I'll definitely be coming here regularly, and look forward to their arts and crafts events and workshops.
