Authentic New York–style pizza in a small, no-frills spot. The place isn’t fancy, but the pizza is incredible—absolutely worth it. Solid 10/10.
We’ve been coming to La Capannina for over decades. Always good pizza and fast service. As the winter season approaches, many Hampton’s restaurants are closed but La Capannina is still busy with locals. One of the best pizza in the east end. We tried antipasto salad and it was delicious too. Their calamari slice is the best!!
One of the last vestiges of local hospitality on the east end, serving good old fashioned Italian-American comfort food and, yes, pizza. Don’t dilly-dally placing your order at the counter, be direct, specific and fast - otherwise you may be out-shouted by a fellow hungry patron. Order a glass of house wine while you wait for your food… it’s terrible wine but it’s all part of the cosy vibe and (refreshingly) it’s a far cry from all the nearby Michelin star wannabe restaurants!
Best pizza on long island since the death of Conca (and even then, it was a close race) Been going here with my dad since 2006.
Sunday night… ordered two pies and a grilled chicken hero… SOOOO GOOD! The margarita and plain pies were amazing. In between a brick oven for parents, and NY pizza for kids! Thank you!!!
Been eating at La Cap since I was a little kid. Absolutely love this place for unfussy "Long Island Pizza". If you don't like it you can catch the next bus outside and leave town. :)
This place has the best pizza! Love the white pizza and the house dressing (get it by the tub). It’s delicious and the people working there are always friendly. Never disappoints!

I’ve been told by some good friends that this pizza is the best one in Montauk.
Everything’s amazing 🤤 it’s always popping here, but the service is fast and the staff is friendly. The have a good menu on top of their awesome pizza choices. Love the garlic knots. There’s a soda fountain, canned drinks, outdoor seating and plenty of parking.
You can't go wrong with any of the slices here, my go-to's are the Margarita or Chicken Bacon Ranch slices. Garlic knots are delicious and has just enough taste of garlic. Good variety in drinks as well. Favorite pizza in the East Hampton area!
Nothing flashy or fancy. Just some damn good pizza & pasta for great prices. If we lived closer I would be getting their pizza all the time. If you're out of the city and looking for a New York slice, you won't go wrong here. My wife got the chicken francese. She had never tried it before and thought theirs is a little strong on the lemon, but still really good.
Best pizza out east, period. They always have specialty slices ready to go and the service is lovely - eggplant parm slice is my favorite. Been coming here for 15 years and wouldn’t change a thing. Also, other menu items like Caesar salad and meatballs are excellent.
Stop by La Capannina going to Montauk for lunch. Pizza is large. Good flavor and plenty of cheese. Saw plenty of local comes to get lunch. Seating is limited inside.
How goes this place get 4.6 stars? Something fishy. Food is bland which is being nice. The dishes were poorly prepared and either covered with olive oil or still frozen.
Very bad taste, I order some pasta with chicken it was send just pasta , attitude over the phone bad. Yeas a go was the best pizza .cesar salad worst ever.The fry calamari very bad , it use to be very good.
