Avis sur Honey Baked Ham San Jose
Busy, busy, busy - during the holidays. Staff is well organized. Drive through pick up available behind the parking lot. Walk in pick up available as well. BEST of all since I could not order online via the website, I was able to drive 35 minutes and wait in line. Parking spots are hard to find at first glance. However, found one within minutes. Place is a sea of hungry Ham lovers. Parked, waited in what seemed to be a long line of about 60-70 people. The wait from the end of the line to the front door was 12 minutes. While inside, there were 15+ people following a line...waited another 5 minutes. Yessss! Ordered my 9 pounds of delicious ham and paid the $19.99 for the oven roasted Turkey. This place always delivers on taste and quality. The scent from the inside is awesome ham smelling. We will place our Turkey and Beautifully seasoned Ham in the refrigerator for 3 days. Should taste yummy. Honey Baked Ham - great shop, great customer service, well organized, and delivering on their promise with short wait times. The greeters are cheerful and happy, even with some grumpiness going on due to waiting in line. Grumpiness is okay since we all want to achieve the same goal, buy our Ham to make our tummies and family smile on Thanksgiving. Touche and Cheers. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas. YUM YUM YUM

Ordered a ham for the holidays. I arrived at my scheduled time and was in and out unless than 10 minutes. The quality of the ham is always exceptional. Made for a terrific Christmas dinner. I would highly recommend.

The wait was super long until they divided the lines near the entrance. The ham I purchased was for a co-worker and was burnt and had NO glaze on it. I went back after Thanksgiving to receive a refund because it was so bad. That was my first experience 😫😖
Went the day before Christmas with no reservation. Was hoping to at least get a ham which we did. Most everything else was sold out, but we did get a side dish, and a chocolate cake which was delicious! Made our Christmas dinner, so thanks Honey Baked!

Definitely one the best honey bake smoke ham in the bay area but Their sides and condiments stock not good anymore , considering we order online and prepay some of the items we ordered were not available anymore or out stock.

This place was really disorganized. There was no difference between prepaid order and in-store purchase. It took me more than 45 minutes to pick up a prepaid order that was scheduled for pickup for 11am on Christmas Eve. Some complained about messed-up orders. Some said it took them more than 1 hour. The ham still tastes pretty good. But I will avoid scheduling a pickup on Christmas Eve in the future.
We ordered our Thanksgiving Dinner at the 750-A Winchester Blvd, San Jose, CA Honey Baked Ham. We paid $176.00 for their 8lb honey baked Ham & Turkey Feast. We even reserved a time slot to pick up our "Prepaid" order. What an unorganized disaster when we arrived. There were two lines, and the pre-order line was the longest. We waited for about 1 hour. We got no phone call, warning, or notification of this long delay. While in line, I called the store phone number, but it kept ringing. It appeared someone kept picking up the phone and putting it on hold. Never again, poor customer service.

It’s not worth the wait. Honey Baked Ham really dropped the ball this year. There is 1 line to pick up your ham whether you prepay or not. There is no prepaid pickup truck in the parking lot like in past years. The line is wrapped around the building. Today is the Monday before Thanksgiving. I feel for anyone coming on Tuesday and Wednesday. This will likely be my last year of getting a Honey Baked Ham for Thanksgiving. Update: the long line was only for people who had preordered. Those who hadn’t preordered had no line and walked right in.

I preordered my boneless ham without prepaid and it took over 2 hours for me to be in line. Once near the cashier counter, instead of speeding things up, all the cashiers were talking and joking around as there was no line. Customer service was so slow, some of the guests took forever with their questions and needed extra help which I understand but they should move those guests to a different spot and keep the line moving. Once it was my turn, it was discovered that I couldn’t get the boneless ham like I PREORDERED because I did not prepay for my order. However, when placing the preorder there was no mentioning of this could happen. The only mention was the prepaid line will be a little faster. It was unbelievable. It will be my last time ever buying.
More like Honey Baked Scam! Preordered and paid for our Thanksgiving turkey dinner in advanced and was given a time slot for pickup. Found the line to be around the block with people at the front telling us it took them about 2 hours to get there. Management was awful and telling people it doesn’t matter if you’ve prepaid or walk in that it’s the same line. Major attitude and no empathy that all these people trusted in your business for their Thanksgiving dinners. Over an hour of waiting in line and was told that they are out of turkeys and sides, absolutely terrible. There were elderly people with canes or broken arms that had been waiting with no other options and to be treated this way when they had paid for their food is despicable. They have a certain number of each food item and should only do that number of preorders and no walk up’s. Seems like they don’t care about people and every worker had attitude and rolling their eyes. One guy told me “hey at least you get a refund”, of course I’d be entitled to a refund by law as you are not holding up your end of the transaction. I will NEVER order from this place again, and urge others to go elsewhere as this business is a complete scam!!!!
A 90-Minute Line for a "Tip-Only" 10-lb Ham? After waiting 90 minutes in line, I expected the usual holiday rush--not an improvised pay-to-play system. When I finally reached the counter and asked for a 10lb ham, the staff told me they "only reserve 10-pound and larger hams for people who tip." Let that sink in. A national brand, operating with a whispered side-policy that your access to a basic product depends on whether you slip staff extra cash. No signage, no transparency--just an uncomfortable moment where a simple holiday purchase turns into a quiet hustle. And instead of giving in, I chose a 9 Ib ham--not because I wanted it, but because I refused to validate a broken system. It left me wondering: Is this something HoneyBaked Ham condones, or is this a modus operandi the staff have adopted on their own? Either way, it's a terrible look for a company with this kind of reputation. Between the long wait, the tip-gated inventory, and the lack of accountability, this location has lost my trust. I walked out unimpressed--and honestly, that was the best part of the experience. Would not recommend.
I pre-ordered a pork pot roast two days ago. I paid for this pre-order two days ago. After driving over 50 miles, I arrived reasonably expecting to pick up my pre-paid order at the scheduled pick up time. The last thing I expected was to be told that they ran out. How is this possible? When I challenged the manager, he was very apologetic. He offered no explanation but attempted to placate the situation by offering me a refund or a $50 certificate. What is the policy on pre-ordering if you can travel over an hour to be told plainly that "we ran out"? This is unacceptable and very disappointing. I chose the refund.
If I could give this company zero stars I would. I prepaid for my Thanksgiving meal a month ago after so many people raved about this company so I decided to give it a try. I showed up at my pick up time and to my surprise was told they were sold out. I was so confused, how could they be sold out of a prepaid meal, isn't the point of prepaying/ordering your meal a head of time so that it is there waiting for you when your get there at your pick up time. How could a company do this to people, the day before Thanksgiving. How could they not be more organized. After my shock wore off, I went to Safeway and bought what I could to try and salvage the Thanksgiving meal for me and my children. All I can say is that this was my first and last time I will buy from Honey Baked Ham, I will never recommend this company to anyone, shame on you Honey Bake Ham for not being better prepared for the holiday. DO BETTER
Honeybaked ham is delicious but we draw straws as to who'll do the pickup. It's an unpredictable, painful, ugly, patience stretching experience to get the food you PRE-Order, PRE pay, & pick a time slot for. One year I got lucky & there was a separate, short less than 30 min PRE order line. NOT this year😞 Just one single line that stretched down the sidewalk, blocking driveways & businesses. They'll redirect me when I get to FRONT of the line. Why pre order, pre pay, select a pick up time...?? Com'n HB...you gotta do better!!!! Well waiting for over an hour gives me time to write this review
Ordered my turkey and sides 3 weeks before thanksgiving, and showed up at my pickup time the day before thanksgiving. I was told there was no more food and there was a line around the block. I understand things can happen but it is clear that they knew they wouldn’t be able to fulfill orders this morning and to my knowledge made no effort to contact customers so that they could make alternate plans. I was left with no food the night before thanksgiving , as well as no easy way to refund my order. This was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I would like to recognize Natalie, who despite the situation was helpful and professional.
I wish I had checked the reviews from last year before I pre-ordered for Thanksgiving this year. This is and was my last time with this brand. The disorder and poor organization are still there and are probably even worse. We paid +$180 two weeks ago to "secure" my meal and have peace of mind for these holidays, just to wait +1 hour in line for pickup (your selected pickup time doesn't matter; they don't care, just do the line). But the worst part was at the counter: "Sorry, we're sold out on your items, but don't worry, we can offer a full refund." NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I EXPERIENCED SUCH INCOMPETENT SERVICE WHERE I'VE BEEN LET DOWN ON AN ONLINE ORDER. AND I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE WHO HAD THIS PROBLEM (15+ CUSTOMERS LIKE ME WAITING FOR THE MANAGER) DON'T ORDER FROM HERE ON HOLIDAYS. Pick a restaurant or make a reservation somewhere else.
Did a pre paid order in advance and waited in line for over 2 hours. As we got to the door they allowed someone to cut in front of everyone and when it was mentioned the person is friends with the manager. They only allow 4 customers in at a time with hundreds waiting in line but if your friends with the manager its a different story you dont have to wait 2 hours in line. Very disrespectful given that other have waited hours in line patiently just to see this occur. Needless to say the customers spoke up and did not let that happen and called them out. Will never go back again just because of the lack of respect they have for their customers.
The recent reviews are wholly accurate and well deserved. Never in my life have I seen a more disorganized unprofessional clustercluck in any business of any kind. “Pre-Order” doesn’t mean a thing. Zero communication between staff and the 300-400 people standing in line that stretched an entire city block - some “pre-paid” some walk-ins with ZERO plan or training on how to handle a holiday rush. In the end we were one of MANY people who walked away without our “pre-paid” turkey order after being told at 8pm the night before Thanksgiving that they were sold out because “Pre Paid Orders” were sold to walk in customers, totally ruining our holiday. To top it off, when I went back for the refund a few days later, I stood waiting for almost 15 minutes while the girl who was working there didn’t even acknowledge me until her coworker who was apparently the only one handling customers finally came out to finish assisting the ONLY other customer in the store. How this company has stayed in business for so long is beyond me. Do yourself a huge favor and DO NOT EVER ORDER FROM HONEY BAKED. THEY WILL RUIN YOUR HOLIDAY DINNER.
Terrible service. Pre ordered a week ago for my ham sliders hoping to pick it up at 5pm (which is the pickup time I had picked on the website) only for them to tell me I needed to wait in a line that stretched three blocks. After about 45 mins in line, they decided to tell us that everything ran out. Why would you accept orders you werent able to meet. Plus the staff was yelling at customers rudely. Never come here
placed a preorder with a scheduled pickup time of 2:00 PM on 11/25/25 for a Thanksgiving class party with my ESOL students. They were so excited for HoneyBaked Ham, and I chose this store because I thought a scheduled pickup would be organized and reliable. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but. When I arrived at 2:00, the line was over two hours long. There were no separate lines for preorders, prepaid orders, or walk-in customers... just one overwhelming line wrapped around the building. At no point in their confirmation emails, texts, or website did HoneyBaked Ham tell customers that pickup would not actually happen anywhere near the scheduled time. A “pickup time” should mean something, or at least come with a warning. Because my class party began at 4:30, I didn’t have time to wait. I asked an employee about getting a refund and was told, “Just go online and request one.” This was completely wrong. There is no such option. I called the store multiple times with no answer. I called the corporate number and was assured someone from the store would call me back. No one ever did. The next day, I drove back to the store and spoke to someone who seemed to be a manager. He took down my information and said he would process the refund. It has now been a week, and I still have received nothing. I’ve continued calling. No response. Corporate says I must speak to the store directly, but the store will not pick up. Now, apparently, I will have to drive back again just to request the refund for food I never received. This entire experience wasted hours of my time, left my students without the Thanksgiving meal I had planned for them, and showed an astonishing lack of organization and customer service. I really wish I had checked the recent reviews before ordering, because my experience was unfortunately consistent with what other customers have reported.
