We visited early afternoon after normal lunch period therefore there were fewer guests. However the service from the Colombian staff was friendly and quick. The open BBQ area was a great place to see food preparation and prices economical.
Went last night. Excellent music. Excellent vibes. All was good until we ordered aguardiente. We payed $170 for a bottle of Antioqueño Azul that goes for $25 at the store, but that’s not the bad part, the bad part os that it was watered down and tasted terrible! If that changes we might go again. Went back it was amazing. EDIT: Thanks for the great service
Awesome Colombian food! Food is pretty good and portions are generous. Do try the “Sancocho de Gallina” for an authentic Colombian chicken broth. My husband had the “Patacon Mixto” (plantain with meat) and he absolutely LOVED it. It reminds us of real Colombian steet food. Also, presentation is good and pretty! Their outside dining helps you feel safe during this time also :) I read reviews complaining about service but I had no problem. Servers were attentive and friendly. Only downside was that they close pretty early. I’d love to come after work here.
First time to visit this place and I loved it. All the staff very friendly, good customer service, but especially my comment is for Steven, from days before I spoke to make the reservation and first I spoke with Sergio and he was very friendly, then I spoke with Steven and he organized everything. when we got there Steven made us feel very good all night with his attention. I highly recommend this place.
This place is great. The patacón (fried plantain) is awesome and comes with pineapple, one of my favorite treats. The sancocho de gallina is big and will leave full guaranteed. Overall, the price is just on the spot for the size of the plates. You may sit outside or inside. They have both American and Colombian menu which is great to accommodate your friends. Definitely coming back. They also have Lulo juice!
Such delicious food and amazing service! It’s a fantastic bang for your buck, and the food tastes like it’s made with such care. Fantastic experience. I’ll definitely come again
Great music, Awesome environment, always have an overall great experience when visiting La Hacienda Bar and Lounge. Don't confuse this Awesome establishment with La Hacienda Parrilla, two totally different entities!
Got Chorizo appetizer and the Plato Llanero… best, most authentic Colombian food I’ve had in the Bay Area.
Absolutely fantastic food, very authentic. Everything tasted delicious, staff was very friendly, loved the atmosphere.
Had a blast ..!! Music, bartenders, security staff, waitresses!! The whole nine yards… highly recommend it
Good place and not to crowded, they have karaoke if you are into that!

Review of Hacienda Nightclub – 1 Star I came to Hacienda Nightclub in San Jose on 7/18 with a group of friends expecting to have a good time. Before entering, I asked the security guard if there was a cover charge, and she confirmed it was $10 per person. I proceeded to pay $40 for four of my friends at the reception area. However, when the server, Danna V, charged me, I noticed something was off. She had the screen facing away from me, and it ended up charging me $45.49 instead. I immediately questioned it and asked why I was charged an extra $5.49. She told me it was for taxes on the entrance fee. I found that odd and asked her for a receipt, but she claimed she couldn’t print one. I told her that if it were a tip, I wouldn’t mind—but it’s another thing to lie to a customer. She insisted again that it wasn’t a tip. It didn’t sit right with me, so once inside, I spoke to a bartender and asked if they charge taxes on cover charges. She wasn’t sure but offered to bring a manager. I spoke with the manager outside to avoid making a scene. He told me that no, they do not charge tax on the entrance fee. I explained what had happened, and while he was polite and apologized, he blamed it on the POS system possibly “acting up.” That would have made sense—if I wasn’t lied to by Danna V earlier. What really confirmed my suspicion was when I asked the manager for a receipt and suddenly it was possible to print one—after I was previously told it couldn’t be done. The receipt clearly showed $5.49 was charged as a tip, not tax. The manager offered drinks to make it right, but I declined. I didn’t come for freebies—I came for a good time and to not be deceived. Instead, I spent nearly 40 minutes dealing with this, completely ruining my night. I told the manager I was leaving and that I’d be contacting my bank and filing a formal complaint. I get that mistakes happen, but lying to a paying customer and then covering it up is unacceptable. Please don’t insult people’s intelligence.

The bottle service girl always try to give themselves a high tip instead Of letting you decide what you wanna tip! BE CAREFUL!!! They tried to give themselves a tip of 25% thinking i was to drunk to notice what she was doing. Also if you pay with card CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENT THEY CHARGE YOU MORE FOR WHAT YOU PAY. EXAMPLE ATM SAIDS $45 CHARGE THEN IF YOU WANNA TIP 15%? 20? 25? OTHER? BANK STATEMENT WILL SHOW TRANSACTIONS $90. BE CAREFUL OF THIS!!! ITS USUALLY THE BOTTLE SERVICE GIRLS!!!
I used to think this place was great. I guess that's because I always showed up with my white friends. First time I brought a Mexican friend (along with a group of others), I noticed the security guards trying to usher him out. He had been standing on the side of the dance floor near the bottle service area (but not inside of it, to be clear... on the dance floor), minding his business while the rest of us danced. I rushed over to stop them and asked them what the problem was. Apparently, a group of Columbianas told security they didn't like him and they decided to remove him. For no reason. How is this acceptable? Didn't realize how racist this establishment is.
Going to put a lawsuit on this place. This place DISCRIMINATED ME! I went on a Saturday night out with my friends & they wouldn’t let me in because the guard said the person on the ID wasn’t me. When it was I had got my nose done recently & in my ID I didn’t have my nose done & I had no makeup. Mind you I’ve never had a problem here & they’ve always understood me. She asked me if I had another ID which I told her I didn’t that was my own type of identification. It was horrible and embarrassing. It was a lady guard at the front. I even answered all the questions they asked me. How disappointing! I understand they are cautious, but it wasn’t fair & it was rude.
be careful when you come here! check your bank after each transaction. i came here last friday and bought 2 palomas and a patron shot for $37.82 when i came back for the SAME drinks, the bartender tried to upcharge me $81.75! i only noticed because my bank flagged the transaction, now im having to dispute it! save yourself the hassle or pay CASH! these people legit are stealing from customers when they think they are intoxicated to know any better
dissatisfied, the food takes a long time, they do not complete the food and very expensive!! I do not recommend it
