Dog friendly brunch place in San Ramon. Food is superb! The best breakfast we had in the area. Surprised to get a trout for breakfast, no regret! Chicken steak is also flavorful. Less greasy plate, more fun!
Denver omelet was really good. Fruit was fresh. Sourdough toast really good. Coffee perfect. Good price point. And fast service on a Tuesday morning.
We have been going here a couple of times / month for the past 10+ years. Friendly staff, quick service and always enjoy reading the hundreds of humorous plaques on the walls. Great diner with a nice variety of dishes for breakfast and lunch. Several Eggs Benedict choices, amazing tomato soup and great bacon. Love the breakfast burrito, Joe's omelet, Chicken quesadilla, and chicken wrap.
What a delight! The ambience is warm, welcoming and fun. Service was top notch - attentive, friendly, not intrusive. Standard & creative food options for breakfast through lunch- and the food was perfect. I had an egg-white veggie omelet with potatoes- perfectly done & seasoned. Daughter had a burger- she wished it had some sauce (I’m happy without sauce) but ended up happy with ketchup & mustard. Price for 3 people was reasonable. Will stop by again if we ever travel that direction.
Visiting the area and wanted a good breakfast place. Reviews did not lie; was greeted by the owner and immediately seated. Service was fast and attentive, I was really impressed. Food, ambience, location, service, experience are 100%. Highly recommended.
Known in the area but if you’re passing by give them a try. the atmosphere is nice and everyone is friendly.the owner was present and asked where we would like to sit. Waiter was nice and took care of everything with a timely response. Our breakfast was delicious and all 3 dishes did not disappoint. Plenty of parking and kid friendly.
Such great service. The place was packed but we got seated right away and our food came out quickly which was perfect bc we had another soccer game to get to. Our waitress was super friendly. I ordered a sandwich which was delish but the potato leek soup was phenomenal. They make homemade soups. My boys had breakfast plates and they ate everything. If ever in town again, we will come back.
Me and my husband’s favorite breakfast place. This serves our favorite pancake and crab omellete, with a side of sourdough and potatoes. The portion is huge. The restaurant is a local and homey restaurant. Try to go early as you could wait a bit, depending on the time of day you go, which for us, is always when everyone is already there.
DINE IN - 8 AM - LIGHT TRAFFIC TIME Very easy-going and warming employees. Wonderful and delectable food. There’s option to salt and pepper your food. (Food is served unseasoned). Very sweet and polite employees. They serve tea (4-5 tea options). I had wonderful lemon tea mixed with other herbs like rose hip and hibiscus. Perfect temperature. Had a super pleasant experience. - Downside. Too much carbs, but carbs do give you energy if you’re going to have a long day. :)
This team deserves all 5 stars! Their Asian salad was amazing! Every ingredient was fresh, the dressing was wonderful, the strawberries, blackberries, blue berries & raspberries were ripe & abundant. Henrique & his team were fast, efficient, warm & friendly. No wonder they have a loyal & happy following! I really love the funny signs & adorable retro decor!
Our 1st time here at Katy's, and we had a great experience. The service was excellent! Servers were attentive and fast but not hovering. They make you feel like they know you, lol, which was a nice, welcoming feeling. The food tasted great, too. I had the corned beef hash; I have to since there's so many comments on it. My son had the ricotta blitz with berries. It's good, but I would personally add syrup to it. Hubby had one of their breakfast plates; sausages, eggs & potatoes. Portions are great on all our dishes. We all enjoyed our food. We'll have to come back to try their Benedicts, which most reviews are all about. Thanks, Katy's Corner, for great food & experience. 👍🏻👍🏻
Lovely place for a brunch. We went in for a brunch on a Saturday and loved the environment and the food. The outside seating is awesome but is limited, so you would be lucky to get a seating outside. I won’t provide any recommendations on the food, as I felt their food in general is great, so try out anything. This was my second time and now my family is also in love with the place, so hope to visit again soon
Quick service, good portions. The eggs for my Benedict were perhaps 20-30 seconds away from perfection, and "Katy's Pancakes" were made with almond extract (or something similar) that was not in the description. My husband enjoyed the flavor, but I found it overpowering. If we loved local, I could definitely see this spot being part of our regular breakfast spot rotation.
It’s a good place to have breakfast or brunch . Tiny and cozy place . Apart from food , I like all the hanging frames ——————————————————— Updated comment : I strongly advise against ordering the Benedict here. I visited early in the morning around 8 AM to avoid the crowd, but was still served undercooked potatoes. The atmosphere deserves a solid 4 out of 5, but the food only rates a 2 out of 5. Please focus on properly preparing the meals—customers deserve good value for their money.
Sat down and were greeted quickly. The staff was friendly and checked on us a couple of times. Our first reaction was to the prices. Figure you’re paying upwards of $18-$20 for everything. For those prices we expected exceptional quality. That brings us to the food. My daughter got the trout and eggs… I guess “deboned” must not mean what I think it does because I took a bite and got a literal mouthful of bones! I had to spit it all out or risk choking. Besides loaded in bones, the trout had no flavor, fortunately, they serve it with a tarter style sauce so at least you can taste something. My wife and father split the club sandwich. I didn’t try that but the whole time eating it both continuously commented that it was not very good - dry, with no flavor. My dad deconstructed his and when I asked why he didn’t eat the chicken from it he responded “oh, that’s chicken? I thought it was a slice of bread.” I got the Nutella and banana cinnamon roll. It was interesting. The cinnamon roll was stale which actually worked in contrast to the stickiness of the Nutella, but honestly, it was a collision of flavors and textures that just didn’t work for any of us. Sorry, but we probably won’t be returning.
