Well! I will certainly NOT be saying anything bad, or I could end up "sous-vided" like Josh!! And why would I? This is an excellent reincarnation of Ms. Austin's previous 5* efforts at Little Kitchen (she worked SO hard there)... Tonight was our 7th visit to this lovely transformation of the old Breakwater; it just gets better each time. This evenings hand-massaged Kale and Chicken salad (it looked so beautiful, and enough for 2-3), the always epic Short Rib presentation, and the Chef's better-than-El Encanto Caesar Salad, all got quiet and attentive appreciation. The open patio, facing the Harbor and towering cumulus over the Santa Ynez peaks, ocean breeze, and the leisurely pace of service--all invite you to take a deep breath of fresh Pacific air, remember that we are Santa Barbara, and have that second glass of wine. (UBER!) Get in there! Jeffrey Barigian, MD
Everything was terrific!
Food was delicious and the service excellent. Great customer service :)
Great experience. Nice atmosphere overlooking the harbor. Food was very good across the board (apps, entrees, and desserts). Service was also very good. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful place with patio and delicious dishes! Fast and friendly service, cevice from appetizers, short ribs, burger must try , delicious!!
Highly recommend. My fiancée and I frequent this spot and it’s become one of our new favorite spots in town. Excellent food, drinks, and service.
Beautiful place right by the yacht harbor! Our server Kelly was amazing and took great care of us! Highly recommend and we’ll be back. 👏
Great experience. Great food. Gluten free options. Dog-friendly patio.
A big improvement over the old Breakwater Restaurant. Great location, and the food is quite well prepared.
View the harbor. Familiar servers. Interesting drinks. Cold brew. Brunch with friends.
It’s my birthday weekend getaway,So we came to Santa Barbara for the first time and Gracie was walkable from our hotel,So we picked this place for lunch and we sure not disappointed. Food : My husband got Steak Frites and it was cooked the way he ordered and fries was crispy, hot and the sauce wasn’t too over power the steak,So this dish blend really well together.I ordered Crispy Salmon and the skin was crispyyyy. My waitress recommended a homemade focaccia bread to go with it which I went for it and I thank her later because that bread was really good! Salmon was cook perfect,Sauce was great and veggies that came with it was delicious! Service : Our waitress was amazing. We sat outside and everything went great! Vibe : Open,Vibrant and lovely place. Next time we’re visit Santa Barbara Gracie will be one of our choice for food for sure.
Gracie is SO worth it! We got a ton of appetizers, but I only photographed the ones that were closest to me on the table. The tuna melt (pictured) was probably the best thing I tried. Extremely flavorful and the fries it comes with are also delish. Pretty sure they make their own ranch (which I loved). We got the waffle too (not pictured) but the homemade butter and zesty syrup was a must try. Great to share with table if you don’t wanna eat it all yourself!
My husband and I just had our first dining experience at Gracie, and we loved it! 😁 The remodel is fantastic—definitely an upgrade from the Breakwater—with gorgeous harbor views that made for the perfect romantic Friday night. We started off in the bar area, which has been beautifully reimagined with a sleek, club-like vibe. The plush blue velvet bar stools were super comfortable. My husband ordered the P.O.G. Margarita, while I went with a Nojito (with a splash of pineapple). Both were beautifully crafted—so much so that my husband happily switched to the Nojito as well.🍹 For appetizers, we shared the cannellini bean hummus with warm focaccia, the stone fruit burrata, and the sweet potato croquettes with labna. Each one was delicious, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My husband ordered the steak frites au poivre, and he loved the sauce—a high compliment coming from a Frenchman! 😄 Our server, Jazz, was warm, attentive, and so much fun, which made the evening all the more enjoyable. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back 👍👍😁
My friend were in town for the week and we grabbed lunch before heading to the airport today. We were so impressed with the amazing food, beautiful restaurant, and wonderful service. The kale and chicken breast salad was so flavorful and tender. Just perfect.
Highly recommended for dinner, romantic candlelit atmosphere, incredible views for lunch, wonderful service and the menu has different options, we loved what we tasted, we are residents of Santa Barbara and I will visit the place soon with my group of friends😊
The seafood was excellent, and enjoyed on a beautiful patio.
Was only passing through Santa Barbara but stopped at Gracie’s and ordered the fish tacos and NA POG margarita - both were fantastic! And can’t beat the view!

Excellent rockfish tacos in a very relaxed atmosphere, right at the Harbor.

Beautiful new restaurant at the Santa Barbara harbor! Came here with my family and enjoyed delicious food with an amazing view. The fish tacos were amazing. Excellent service, lovely curated menu with elevated (but not fussy) food. 100% plan to return and 100% recommend.
Absolutely stunning atmosphere, Service excellent, Food was delicious, short ribs were delicious, but side servings were quite small. I think bread would be a nice addition. We had a wonderful night and we will return.
We were a party of 4 and thoroughly enjoyed Gracie. The atmosphere and view is outstanding as we were there at dusk and into the evening. Beautiful view of the harbor and Santa Ynez Mountains. The service was excellent, never felt rushed and had a very relaxed time. The food was also excellent. In our group, we had guacamole and chips, (appetizer), citrus chicken breast sandwich, and crispy salmon. The guacamole and chips were very fresh and tasty. The citrus chicken breast sandwich was grilled and on homemade Focaccia with goat cheese. Excellent flavor and very tender. We opted for the french fries, also very good. The crispy salmon was a good size as it too was split between 2 people. It too had very good flavor and was excellent. Highly recommend and go as the day turns to dusk and into the night, just an amazing view and atmosphere.
Just had dinner here. Used to love the Breakwater and was hoping it hadn’t changed too much. Really lovely surprise. Wonderful service, great food, and of course can’t beat the view. Our table had the cauliflower tacos (vegan) which were super tasty, the salmon which was well cooked with a crispy skin and generous portion and the chicken sandwich. Really lovely experience but it did get chilly towards the end and so far there were no heaters. My only suggestion would be to turn down the music. Really not necessary when people are trying to talk and just enjoying the sounds of the harbor. Will definitely be coming back.
Three ladies celebrating a birthday- had fish tacos or chicken sandwich. Side salad were excellent, main dish foods top notch. Quiet and lovely view, waitress and staff on top of it and friendly. We will be back!!
Really great experience at this new restaurant. We shared the Caesar salad (yum yum) which was well sized to share. Also ordered the Salmon which was tasty. Be aware that the filet is thick and will be served medium rare. I was surprised at the interior (never had salmon this rare outside of sushi). I did have them heat it up a bit more. If the menu had stated this, it would have been a non-issue. (That’s the 4 star…) Also meet up with the creator/owner of Gracie, which really added to the experience of being part of the in the know crowd. We are normally wine drinkers. Switched over to the specialty drinks tonight and they were tasty as well.
You can’t beat the view and people watching. Dog friendly on the patio. The cassoulet was delicious, absolute perfection! The Caesar salad was made with crispy anchovies, Parmesan crisp & homemade croutons as it should. Yummy burger and fries with aioli. They had been open 3 days and the service was very good. Will definitely be going back to try other items on the menu.
Food was fantastic. We tried the tuna melt and Wagyu burger. The burger was fresh and so flavorful. Not a frozen patty. My husband and I are local and enjoyed a nice lunch with a great view of the harbor and beautiful Santa Barbara mountains. It took a while to be seated, get our table cleaned and pay our bill… they seemed a bit understaffed for the size of the lunch crowd on a gorgeous sunny January afternoon. One of the servers was wearing casual clothing and could’ve been a bit more professionally dressed as a server. But the food came out fast and tasted amazing and the view was perfect and was a great price value. I highly recommend trying Gracie‘s if you are visiting Santa Barbara and want to be near the waterfront and boat activities. Very large outdoor patio with lots of great seating. It would be a great location for celebrating a special occasion or birthday.

Gracie is a definite improvement over the Breakwater Cafe. They've done a nice job with the patio and actually added access to the restrooms so you no longer have to go to the kitchen. A bit expensive but that's to be expected. Food was good and service was excellent.
Lovely outdoor space for brunch and drinks. The staff was incredibly attentive, almost to a fault with respect to asking us if we wanted more cocktails. The drinks were delicious but the food was more mixed. The burrata and shrimp cocktail were enjoyed by all, but the breakfast sandwiches were about size rather than taste.
Lovely setting, food better than average, a little spendy, great location.
Gracie has a beautiful view, service was great, and the happy hour martini was tasty. Unfortunately we were unimpressed by the food bites that accompanied. The burger was flat and alone, and the hummus was thin and low flavor with few of the pickled veggies it promised. We expect they will work out these kinks (they've only been open a week) and we expect to return and try again.
Food and atmosphere are solid. Portions are ok, but are on the pricier side. No free refills for soda.

Had a great experience here. The setup and open air atmosphere by the harbor gives off the perfect relaxing coastal vibe. The servers were friendly and helpful but seemed a bit unorganized and we were left long periods of time waiting to order or for drink refills. I got the Bincho Burger which was incredible with each component being high quality from the sourdough bun to the high quality meat and unique sauce. However they were served with what seemed to be cheap (and overcooked) fries likely out of a frozen bag. They were similar in quality to large chain fast food restaurants if not worse. I feel like this could be a very simple fix getting higher quality fries or hand cutting potato wedges. It just felt out of place compared to the effort and quality put into the burger. Overall an incredible experience with lots of potential. The few kinks we ran into are easy fixes that I'd imagine will be improved on in short order.

Sitting out by the harbor was beautiful. So I have to give them points for atmosphere. I found the food and drinks to be a little expensive for what you get. And I found the service to be ok. My wife did like her Bloody Mary. But again I just don't think you're getting a large bang for your buck.
Service, drinks, and atmosphere were great!! But the food was boring, unseasoned, and overall not well made. Best thing we had were the yuzu fries.
I love the view on the harbor and the good reviews of this new restaurant were interesting to me, so we tried it out for breakfast/brunch. Reviews looked pretty good so decided to try it out, but unfortunately the food didn't live up to expectations. The omelette was only ok, and the tomato sauce didn't go well with it. The pieces of focaccia were pretty good but tiny. The benedict was also underwhelming, small, and only ok. The only positive was the good service. There are other good options on the harbor, so I'll probably skip this in the future.

The food was aight. Staff little questionable.
I am sorry to say. The salmon was terrible! 3 of us ordered salmon. It came w/nothing & tasted terrible! The Resturante was good at the start but not so good anymore. Good location, too bad for the food:(
