Came here to watch game 5 of the world series. My friend and I were visiting and just flew into town that day and could not find somewhere to play the game with volume on. This place let us sit on patio with our own TV and turned on volume for us. It's like we had our own suite! Erica was our server and was wonderful. We were able to enjoy a very meaningful game and I was able to watch my team from 1700 miles away win their first world series! What a great memory and I thank Hindquarter bar and grill for making it possible. Your hospitality was incredible!

It’s been about 30 yrs since I’ve been here. I use to go in the 80’s just to find a place for dinner. So I went had the pork chops they were delicious tender. So I went a few days later for the baby back ribs. The portion was big also tender. I try to go on their nightly speak nights. For dessert I had the burgundy cherry mud pie. Can’t get this in Monterey I highly recommend Hindquarter

I wanted to lick the plate after the Mahi mahi special!! Absolutely delicious!! That desire was after slowly devouring the crab cake appetizer that was one of the best ever! I look forward to returning for my second choice from the regular menu. Service was also prompt and friendly. **Only complaint is the pricing is different depending on where you look. (Online, in house menu, and the actual receipt at the end of meal).

Everything was good food great steak cooked perfectly, the only thing that I can say was that the alcohol drinks were VERY WATER DOWN, wine good other drinks 👎🏼

Im not much for other loud customers who drink too much. Bartender was fabulous. Nice and friendly. She made a drink for me that she had never made before. " A Vesper" Santa Cruz is an interesting place.

It’s been quite some time since I’ve eaten at Hindquarter so the bf and I decided to give it a go for a late afternoon lunch. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. We ordered chicken wings as an appetizer. They didn’t have buffalo available so we ordered Thai sweet chili. They were pretty good. I only wish the serving was more than 5 wings. I would have happily paid more for a few more wings to make it a shareable serving. For my entree, I ordered the prime rib which came with mixed vegetables and a baked potato. My bf ordered the hanger steak with mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables and onion strings. Neither meal was remarkable, but they weren’t bad. An iced tea, coke, appetizer and two meals came in under $100. That was a pleasant surprise. Hindquarter won’t be added to our list of go to’s, but it’s certainly not a never go again.

Nice environment very much country vibe many drink options. I had the New York steak with mashed potatoes. My partner had the clams and sauce very good also. I wish the menu had more seafood options. Other then that I would recommend still.
