Give this spot a chance and a try! It was my first here, and it was wonderful! The rolls they offer are familiar and will satisfy your sushi craving definitely. The amount of fish on all the rolls were super generous. The service was wonderful; our server was so kind and sweet, and the atmosphere/ambience was so cozy! The name of the place is Sushi Mori, so it’s flower/forest/plant themed, which is so cute. Our favorite orders were: Firecracker, Popcorn Lobster, Mori, and Unagi (2 pieces). Please, give this place a chance!!!

I've been here a few times now. The all you can eat sushi is a good deal for $36 or so. Nice selection of appetizers, soup, rolls and sushi. Seems family run but that's good. Worth visiting for sure! You won't want to look at sushi for weeks! The gyozo is so fresh, the baked oysters are killer, and the Crazy boy (and crazy girl) rolls, firecracker roll and Aloha rolls are yummy.

AYCE option for $35. Good value if you like to eat a variety of sushi. I'm not a sushi expert or snob but it was all delicious, fresh and prepared quickly. Granted, it was not very busy when I was there but the staff was friendly and very attentive. I would definitely recommend and I will go back.

Great food at a reasonable price. Had the all you can eat option, ate comfortably and stayed the time we needed to. Rolls had a good amount of fish, avocado, etc. Service was good. The wait time overall was average for ayce, we ordered most of what we wanted the first round so hardly had to wait. We were offered the option for ginger and wasabi, great way to avoid waste since not everyone at the table wanted some.

This is a new spot and I’m glad I made the 30 minute drive. This is the only place I found nearby that has an all you can eat selection. They have a good variety of rolls and I liked the downtown atmosphere. Melissa was my waitress and I had a very amicable conversation with her. The gentleman making the rolls greeted everyone coming in and the service is what you’d expect from a good place. My only wish is that I had this place where I live. One day I’ll come back.

Great simple sushi place that would quench your hunger! Definitely a great spot after a surfing session choosing "all you can eat" option 🍣

I live in NYC, and I acknowledge it’s skewed my view of food because of the amazing options we have. That being said, this place was great!!! I just flew in and needed a late food delivery, so I ordered SUSHI MORI to my hotel. The food was hot, tasty, and fresh (salad greens weren’t wilted at all and were actually crunchy!), and the portion size was excellent for the price. Not sure what the low rating’s about! 🤷‍♀️

We really enjoyed our dinner at Sushi Mori!! Our group of 4 did AYCE and the fish was super fresh with big portion sizes. The staff were also THE sweetest & were very attentive, so we are already looking forward to / scheming our next dinner 💃🤌🎊

The all you can eat is a good way to eat a lot of sushi on a cheaper scale, we order our favorite rolls and are always happy with what is served to us. It is a bummer that is that there is no music for a better ambiance since the place has so much potential. Great food and a great place for casual night!

The restaurant is in a busy street, with a few parking spots, but there’s public parking close by. The menu has the all you can eat option, and it was the one I’ve chosen. The first rolls were very good (crab, avocado, and tuna) but other one called “heart attack” had a huge pepper that was not eatable for me. The guioza and sushi’s were ok. Overall it’s a different style of Japanese, and I wouldn’t go again.

Mid Mid Mid! The whole experience was underwhelming. The baked "Lobster" roll was embarrassing. Some of the rolls we got were very great in contrast. Choose carefully. Service was good. The lady was really nice, and I'm sure the chefs were too, but some things were kind of off.

READ THIS BEFORE ARRIVAL! AYCE for $35 but ended paying more. Left over will be charged is understandable, ensure you order 1/2 portion each round. Being my 1st time, I order mostly with fish but they brought out heavy pieces with rice instead to stuffed you, after these 2 with pictured, I raised my white flags as I am trying to reduced rice intake. Patrons beware, you have been warned.

Decent all-you-can-eat sushi in downtown Santa Cruz. $32/person. Or you can order from their normal menu. A bit slow on the service and they’ll charge you if you don’t finish your food (AYCE sushi)

Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Sushi Mori! I honestly can't remember a worse restaurant experience — this place is a scam! I ordered 6 rolls as part of the all you can eat option – the first four came out ~20-30 minutes after ordering, but the last two took over 1.5 hours. We kept checking in with the server, who promised us they were on the way. Another customer sat down, ordered, ate, paid, and left within the time we were waiting. We were one of only two tables at the time. The owner came in to check on us and was (apparently) shocked that we had waited so long – after she asked the chef to finish our order, one more roll came out. Finally we were ready to give up on the last roll so I asked to pay – I brought up the long wait and the chef said it was normal to wait up to two hours because orders are completed in the order they are received, which makes absolutely no sense because all six were received at once. I stepped outside to talk to the owner again, during which the server and chef started loudly talking about us while my girlfriend was still at the table. Honestly super bad vibes here - the chef was rude and the server was not helpful. Sushi itself was just okay, nothing special, and definitely not worth waiting 1.5 hours for. This restaurant is borderline fraudulent and dishonest. Steer clear!

If you get all you can eat sushi here they may just start swapping out all the fish with weird sweet fake crab meat. According to the menu none of the stuff I ordered had fake crab but they must swap it in. I'd rather pay another 30-50% more for better quality sushi. When I order rolls a la carte they don't swap fake crab in and it's edible. Not amazing but it's decent and a good price.

1. Terrible and low quality sushi food. The rice is hard. — that’s why they only have 2 tables of customers around Sat dinner time 2. Slow serving. Even though there were only two tables, they spent 30 mins for serving the food. Then asked whether you wanted to keep waiting. Eventually we quitted. 3. If the owners are Japanese, please really improve your food. You are ruining Japanese food reputation and service. 4. This is a place to cheat first-time visitor. It is a scheme ! — don’t waste your time and money ## After 9 months ## I cannot beleive this restaruant still exists and recived 5 starts (these shoud be rated by their closed bodies). The experience was worst ever in my life and still terribly reminds me...

This is my first and hopefully only food review that I ever wright in my life. Listen guys, I’m easy when it comes to food. I like most things, and if there’s ever an issue with my food like it being over cooked, dry or the wrong item, I usually keep my mouth closed and eat it. Today is the day that I break my silence. We got the All-you-can-eat sushi for $35.99 a person and ordered a variety of hand rolls, sushi rolls and nigiri. I also got a side salad, a 4 piece Gyoza and a miso soup. The Miso soup was salty, the salad greens were wilting (Costco Power Greens), I’m pretty certain the gyoza were just pork Ling Lings also from Costco, the “Lobster” topping on the sushi tasted off and all the fish was FISHY. Not the good fishy either. We couldn’t stomach eating most of it. Took a bite of each type of fish and it was a vey unpleasant taste. Maybe we caught them on an off night, I don’t know. Regardless, it was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. P.s. my brother threw up when we got home.

Quality of food was OK but we arrived at 8PM and by 930 I had received 2 hand rolls and a seaweed salad. Abysmal service, there were 5 tables seated and we had to wait nearly two hours for a third of the first order of the All-You-Can-Eat we had because there is one cook in the kitchen who is clearly struggling. Most of the items we DID receive were not even items we ordered. As we were asking to have some of the meal comped because we had been waiting for hours, the absolutely psychotic owner of the business runs over from the neighboring korean restaurant, yells at us incoherently, then just says "take 20% off" at the poor woman who was working as the only staff in the restaurant dining area (host, server, AND busser). And so they would only comp 20 percent of the bill when we'd only recieved 10% of the food we were being asked to pay for on that bill.
