What a cool place!! Food is good, drinks are good and overall vibe is great!! Has a stage where they have open mic nites for comedy, spoken words, and music. Definitely now one of my favorite places!!
The owner makes everything herself. She let me sample the lemon bars, and it was so delicious that I bought one-- not too sweet, just perfect. Coffee is inexpensive here, only $3 whereas at other places I've paid $5 or $6. Also, while I was studying here, someone was playing piano. This is not your average coffee shop-- it's a whole experience.
Came across this local coffee shop and decided to try their latte and home baked goodies. All items were absolutely delicious! The chocolate cake is vegan and made from organic ingredients. You'd never guess it's vegan! #finger_lickin_good
Great place to work and grab a really good bite to eat. There coffee is really good also. Been around for 25 years. A hidden gem in the community!
Love this place! Ecclectic organic coffee drinks and food, great laid back casual atmosphere, and service is truly lovely. Free WiFi, great place to hang.
I came here for the open mic. And wow was i blown away. Everyone playing has so much soul and the community here is great. Pam and Joseph are also such warm and gracious hosts, and they really encourage each musician to feel relaxed and at ease so that they can perform their best. I would recommend anyone looking for something to do on a Friday night to come here and check it out. Hidden gem 💎
Amazing juice, coffee, iced tea, and the best melt I've had in town. Add avocado to everything. The organic produce they use here tastes incredible!
They have great grilled sandwiches, and on Sunday afternoons there's live music and a go club!

Pam the owners owned it for about 29 years there's a reason why it's been there this long she's really cool it's like the regal beagle of coffee shops the whole neighborhood goes there she even has like different clubs that go in there like a go club and they have open mic nights for bands and musicians it's just really cool place. And again I think it all stems from Pam the owner she's just such a awesome human being and it just you know it all comes from the owner the type of people she draws in.
Love this place it's a gem 💎 the people who come through, Pam and Paul up front, everyone is super sweet. Very communal place, amazing organic home baked goods and treats. GET THERE EARLY for the Ginger Elixir drink! It goes fast! Live music and open mics, come support this local hub for coffee and community.
I have been all over california and try local coffee shops as much as I can. I really think this is a treasure spot for local residents. The staff is so friendly and inviting. I feel like there is hope for this world after going to visit this place. After stepping into this coffee shop, there is a sense of community. The shop has a piano and small stage where there are performances Sunday afternoons visited by locals. The got the house coffee and it was really really good. Highly recommend.
Cute, quirky shop with an open mic night on Fridays, featuring talented local musicians. Some familiar music, some original. Low-key and fun!
Leaving five stars bc I don’t want to screw up their rating in case they reopen but they seem to currently not be open at all other than hosting AA meetings and maybe the Friday night open mic? Their website has more limited hours listed than are on Google maps but it’s been months since I saw them open even during those hours. Hope they can come back, the neighborhood needs a coffee shop open evenings.

Just needed a caffeine boost after a day of running around town. Old fashioned coffee shop, fast service, good latte. Obviously set up for live music etc, with a back room that has seating , stage etc
Loved it, their coffee and hot chocolate were good and smooth. The pastries looked good too. There was live band jamming out the tunes Saturday night. Great atomsphere, parking was a little bit of a challenge.
It's been 15 years since I've been to this cafe, but it was a sanctuary space for me when I was a student. I remember the poetry nights, comfy couches for reading, and a old piano that was to only be played delicately.
I recommend the honey vanilla latte iced (ask for whole milk if you like it more creamy)!

Scam "Open Mic" Arrived at 6pm to check it out. Came by and met Joe, who runs other Open Mics in the LA Area. Asked to sign up. Told to put my name in a bucket after 6:30pm. Came back at 6:40. Small crowd forming. Told by Joe to get a Ticket for the bucket. Went to buy a Hot Chocolate. And "get a ticket for the bucket". Woman who owns the Coffee House charges me for Hot Chocolate. Then adds $10.00 to my bill. Asked why. Told a Ticket requires $10.00 to play. Sadly you don't find this out until you're asked to "get" a Ticket and are told it's $10.00 for a ticket. Owner says "we're just trying to stay open". Would have been nice to known this up front. Won't be back. One should not have to pay to play.

You should ALWAYS call ahead. I live walking distance and have never seen this place open. I know they do donate their space to a lot of nonprofit groups, which is really cool. But a call ahead is necessary.
Oh wow! Another vegan place in LA 🙄 I was honestly excited to try this place but it’s nothing special if anything flavor was lacking. And the owner I think her name is pam was around, she was super uninviting and seemed annoyed to have people there. Wait staff can have bad days at work but an owner thinking they can act that way in front of customers seems like she should get a new job.
Pretty bummed. Planned to meet here with a friend as it looked so cute and cozy for a study sesh but it’s just not open and the phone number listed leads to an error message. Would have loved to become a regular patron here but not with a business that just randomly doesn’t open!
